Thanks Geoff, I am loving the new hand warmers. OLD! To some I am and to others I am not. I feel young at heart but will be 60 in 2 years, that to me feels old . Thank you for the kind comment, glad you like them. Clear skies
You'll be getting a heated jacket next mate lol, nice captures of the comet though we were out but I messed up the focus so didn't turn out to great but least we got it. Clear skies
Now there’s an idea. They actually sell a whole heated suit you wear under your motorcycle gear. Why suffer the cold hey? Focus can be a right pain, I use a field monitor on the camera now to help with that, works super well. Clear skies mate
Excellent video Glenn 👍 Love the Timelapse. I dragged my DLSR out on two occasions but the results were underwhelming. So low when it finally got dark enough the atmosphere was too murky.
@@Astrobloke Loving my observatory. More opportunities with partial clear nights where I wouldn’t have bothered to drag everything out and in again. Got one Mele Quieter 4c on the CEM120 pier with NINA but still getting up to speed with setup and advanced sequencer. Will try a test run soon. Have a TS ONTC 12” Newt being delivered very soon. So more setup. Will move onto an Arduino install after that for the roof. Getting there. Looking forward to showing you around when it is all complete.
Thanks Logan. The Sony A7S is fantastic at video in low light. I think if I had longer I could have improved on the quality of that video capture. I’ll be better prepared for the next one.
Thanks Woody. I’m mixed about Starlink myself. It’s a spectacle to see when in their chain on the way to orbit but not happy with the amount of satellite trails streaking through my images every night I want to image. Frighteningly this is only the start as Amazon are launching Kuiper which is to rival Starlink with another 3K+ satellites in low orbit. They are slowly littering the night sky, sad.
@@SimonsAstro thanks mate. Not a bad shot on the end, love the little Nomad, perfect for this. The Sony is better than I thought, going to be fun. The handwarmers were really good, add em to your xmas list 👍
@@astrostufftomtrubridge7915 you will love them mate. I use them all the time now, walking the dogs and just out and about when it’s a bit chilly. They work so well at keeping the cold at bay
Very nice Glen, amazing capture, you've really pulled this elusive comet out the bag, really like the setup, it's kinda what I'd like to do more of, light and portable with warm hands, like it🤣. 👍I'd like to fit a Sigma 70-200 1:2.8 Apo lens on my old Sony A58, would you be able to recommend an adapter for this, thanks Glen? Atb Tom..
Hi Tom and thank you. The MSM Nomad is a brilliant piece of kit. So simple to use to which is refreshing. The hand warmers are great . If the Sigma is an E mount I don’t think you can get anything to adapt to the A mount. Its has to do with the flange focal distance point, the adapter would need to be negative in thickness. A mount is 44.5mm and the E is only 18mm.
Nice one Glenn👍. I wish I had made more of an effort now😢. As for Elon is p..ing me off more each day and like you I might ditch “X” and maybe sign up to Facebook🤔. Weather permitting, I might try Sh2-173 later in the week.
Hi Mark. Glad you liked it. Elon is ruining the night sky, really annoys me but money wins. As for X, that can do one too. Good luck with the phantom mask. Quite faint and only the Ha shows the shape. Clear skies
Fantastic stuff, great work
Many thanks!
Always a pleasure to see, nice work mate - keep your fingers warm. 😀

Great stuff, Glenn - glad the Sony is working out for you! Amazing video camera. Great comet image as well - fantastic visit we had from it!
The Sony is amazing mate, the night video ability is so good. Been fun shooting this even if I didn't have to venture far
Nice catch :) We tredged through sludge and brambles to get to our spot last weekend. We were also musked, damn you Elon lol.
Luckily I didn't have to venture far, just the end of the garden. I was Musked 2 nights in a row.
Top job that's one fine final image
Appreciate that, glad you liked it

No worries I am glad you could see my version
Think i saw an f15 fighter jet, top video as always glenn
Wouldn't surprise me. The comet video has a UFO in it

Thanks Kevan. I had a few attempts ruined by mist or clouds but kept going and glad I did. How is the observatory working?
