Nice review Glenn! Looks like the ultimate travel tripod! So many useful features! Slightly on the higher price bracket, but I’m sure it’s worth it👍 Clear skies mate!
@@SimonsAstro cheers mate. As you know I love it and use it all the time when we are out with our DSLR’s. Its not cheap but then carbon tripods seem to be that way, the extra features make this worth the price tag in my opinion.
@@Astro_Shed its a really nice tripod Stuart, not cheap but then good quality carbon ones never are. I just love all the well thought out features it has
Unrelated question, where can I find those blocks you use at each end of your universal mounting plates. I’m looking for better mounting options for my accessories?
Great review Glenn. That doesn't seem that high a price considering the load capacity and features, whoever designed that has obviously put a lot of thought into it. Tripods seem to be a bit overlooked as far as astrophotography reviews are concerned imo. I believe it is certainly worth paying a little bit more for a quality one. I take it that this tripod would take most star trackers such as a Star Adventurer or it's IOptron equivalent? Anyway, enjoy the rest of your holiday, clear skies.
Hi Kevin. I think this one in particular is very good for our hobby. The payload is pretty impressive and it will hold a star tracker easily. I know what you mean by the price, essential kit thats definitely needed for Astro work and compared to other carbon tripods not overpriced but comes with some great features. Thanks for watching, clear skies
