+Christopher Borelli He might as well not have, he came across like a dick and did himself few favours with this. Bad day or whatever Chris Jericho can turn it on every night but not for a 12 minute interview with Adam? Poor form.
+The Gamesmeister That's probably the 5th or 6th in a line of 12 minute interviews he had to do that day. Cut the guy some slack. You go on tour every night and then answer the same question 100 times over and see how easy it is to feign enthusiasm.
Adam's a smart guy who asked interesting questions, not the same old crap ones he'll usually get, and he was still a dick. I actually felt bad for Adam, CJ made it awkward as hell for him. Fair enough if he felt like shit and didn't cancel the interview on Adam, props for that, but still, I thought he was sandbagging Adam to fuck.
I came here expecting Jericho to be an ass (from what I've heard from feedback of this interview), but he just seemed tired but answered every question with depth. You don't have the be laughing and hugging every second to talk to someone.
The man's getting on there with age and he's been all over the place for so long. Time's catching up and eventually, you get to see your idols grow old. But hey! Maybe he just didn't give a shit about this interview. I didn't expect him to be the character but just be Jericho, which in itself, is often bigger than life.
Hugo Lalumiere he is getting up there? How old do you think he is 86 years old. He is only 45 years old. He is tired from traveling alot, like anyone of any age does. He can still out wrestle anyone in there 20s, 30s. You're kidding me with that old tired ageism shit. He just had a extraordinary match in NJPW against Kenny omega and gave there promotion new viewers and they got 30,000 new subscribers on there NJPW network, sold out the Tokyo Dome, and over succeeded the attendance in the Tokyo dome, by having more people feel out All the seats in Tokyo Dome since 1993 and putting in more because they sold out having more then usual on his name alone, he has mainstream mega star power and put more eyes on the NJPW product because of the huge hype and feud between omega vs Jericho. He mite not like him because Jericho is loyal to wwe and is close to Vince McMahon and calls himself A Vince McMahon disciple and he knows that this guy is always sitting on wwe with his RUclips videos "Whatculture" which are biased and Chris is aware of his WWE chip on his sholder hate. I'm sure he doesn't like him because he says things about the company he works for. Remember Chris asked if he can go to NJPW and Vince said yes and loved the idea, Chris said he didnt have to tell Vince but he respects Vince and wanted to let him know because he looks at Vince as a father figure and is loyal and didn't want to do anything underhanded and backstabbing to Vince McMahon like some bitter wrestlers do. So he called Vince personally and talked to him for 2 hours and told him that he is gonna have some matches in NJPW and that they have been planned months before, vince was okay with it, they still text back and forth to this day... Chris Jericho has said he is a WWE guy and still has a great relationship with Vince. So I'm sure be doesn't like him for being disrespectful. Chris Jericho continues to have great matches and great storylines and he reinvents himself better then any wrestler today....he takes good care of himself, most likely a 20 year would drop dead of a heart attack in the ring with Chris Jericho.
Duane Jones We at World Wrestling Entertainment do not discriminate against people of color as we provide all of our talent, irrespective of ther background or culture, an equal opportunity to be buried by John Cena. *Vince McMahon, Philanthropist, Promoter of Equality, 9.99*
Adam is so blessed. living in the Philippines and being a fan of wrestling.. growing up in the attitude era.. having an interview with Jericho would be something so surreal..
Dude's probably just tired. He likely has a lot of shit on his plate. Like, he probably just finished performing, since he was somewhat red, he probably has to talk to interviewers left and right, and he just has to deal with tour life, being away from his family, etc.
+MaddMike holy!! What a small RUclips world! Yes, I sub to this channel as well. I love watching the Adams! Hahaha oh man! You need to find some scary stories about wrestlers now, haha!
I read the comments first and after watching the video Chris didnt seem rude at all he just gave honest answers and maybe seemed a bit tired or distracted but atleast he's being real
+jay bull Only thing I saw that coulda came off as dickish was at the beginning when he was introduced as the ayatollah of rock'nrollah he almost looked like he scoffed it off.
He looks absolutely shattered and when people hassle him saying he doesn't give a shit then why should he give a shit? It has got to be a tough schedule to keep up with, he didn't have to do the interview but he did. Jericho is truly one of the best in the world and he deserves the utmost respect!
gooch butter Fuck all of them, and Vince not a heel he is actually a dick head, same with orton but he is still cool...Edge was short and JBl was one hit wonder
Anyone else get the feeling Jericho just doesn't want to be there. I know he probably likes talking to fans and having interviews, but I just feel like he doesn't want to be there.
+Mashmarriner69 It just seems to me like a guy who's a little strung out on touring, and I imagine on interviews as well given that this probably wasn't his first or last experience with the press for the day. Answering the same questions over and over at the end of a long month or however long he's been on tour has to be tough to get through while feigning major enthusiasm.
Kamal Al-Dheeb totally agree. You gotta figure Jericho's been interviewed thousands of times and it's just wrote memorization at this point. To get an insightful question has to be a great opportunity.
+Jamie Sutherland What a lot of people don't know is that wrestlers and really any celebrities usually have a number of interviews a day, so this was probably one of many he was doing. Not to mention he looked kind of tired. But I do agree, he could have showed some more enthusiasm or interest in the interview.
First WWE undisputed champ. 2 or 3 WHC (i believe) in WWE. HE WAS UNDERRATED IN WCW CUZ THEY NEVER WANTED TO GIVE HIM A PUSH BUT IN WWE HE NEVER WAS UNDERRATED.
+06hurdwp Underrated? I don't think so. Perry Saturn was way more underrated in my opinion and deserved the same kind of push as Jericho, Benoit and Guererro.
Thank you Adam and what culture for this interview. I love Jericho he is one of my favourite wrestlers of all time and it's nice to see him have an interview and be himself. I found it very interesting. Great job!
Did Chris just contradict himself? He was saying that no one nowadays is a real heel because what he did was ignore people when they talked to you in public places, not want merchandise, or to be on magazines. Then he was asked if social media hinders the chances of becoming a true heel and he said no because people know that they're only characters. So if people know that they are only characters, what is the need to ignore them in public and everything else he said?
He only acts like a heel to fans when they come up to him before or after a show, but if he was on vacation somewhere and u spotted him he wouldve been normal
+izzi Let's go with his actor analogy it is fine for an actor to have social media but not a character to post out of character unless the story calls for it and with a clear payoff for doing so. Jericho didn't have time to consider how social media makes people believing a face character easier and a heel harder in character or not. Many faces are jerks in person and heel characters can be nice and respectful. People have trouble distinguishing fantasy from reality.
I tend to agree with the people stating that he looked tired rather than disinterested. All things considered, he gave clear, concise and lengthy answers that were pretty spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Cheers, Whatculture Wrestling.
Some of the comments here need to take a step back to fully analyze all the shit Chris does. He's in a band that is (was) touring, he's contracted for wrestling matches or promos that basically fill in the rest of his time, and somewhere in there he likely tries his damnedest to be a father to his 3 kids and husband to his wife. Also, he's had a thousand (exaggerated) matches through his career. To recall them all is impossible. Some forgiveness is granted for not remembering them all, but it was nice that he held onto some special few, especially since he's so busy that I doubt he has time to go back and watch all his old matches like we do. Being under contract with WWE, he's also probably trying to say the right things that haven't either already been confirmed or that Vince doesn't care if it's said in earnest (especially about Vince being an asshole) because it's all for entertainment-sake business. It pumps the interest.
Come on guys.. Maybe he was tired or just really relaxed.. He talks about wrestling so often, he had 145 concerts behind him.. Yet he still gave great answers.. I like this better then someone fake acting like a super cool rockstar or something
Adam is a solid interviewer. He asked questions that took someone who clearly didn't want to be there to someone who was mildly interested in the conversation.
Guarantee he's exhausted during this interview. If anyone has seen his band live they know he puts and incredible amount of high energy the entire show!
It's the life of Jericho... It wears ya down maaaaaaaaan. ..The guy is a very active legend. So true are the words, "The gift of Jericho".. Appreciate the hell out of the guy.
In spite of whatever it was in regards to Chris Jericho that made this interview seemingly difficult to watch, let's give some kudos to Adam for simply being able to do this interview, holding his own, and remaining professional. I'm sure CJ will realize that Adam's interview was a benevolent and wholehearted attempt on behalf of us hardcore fans.
They're sitting side by side with the camera being in front. He won't turn to face Adam for the entirety of the interview for obvious reasons and won't just stare at the camera. So the natural reaction here is for your eyes to just wander. He answered all the questions fully and in a lot of detail. Why does everyone say he seems like he doesn't want to be there?
I've seen literally hundreds of Chris Jericho interviews... his style can come across like he doesn't give a shit but he is very confident and direct and has answered these same questions for years now. Cut him some slack! Plus is that Vodka in his cup?
I see Jericho being more tired than anything else, I don't think he's trying to be rude because he answered completely truthfully and giving insight into how he became such a good heel with how he presented himself in public.
Chris Jericho truly is the best in the world at what he does, and what he does is being an awesome WWE Superstar/wrestler, an awesome rock star, and an awesome person!!
Ironically, at the end of the interview he teased he may already be done with wrestling, yet he's currently having one of the greatest runs of his career. I don't think he'll ever top the work in 2008 with Shawn Michaels, but Jericho is by far the best thing on WWE TV right now. Well, at least what I see on RUclips clips lol
Bit of a shame Chris doesn't want to do a retirement match, I always feel they are some of the best and deliver some of the greatest moments in WWE, I mean look at HBK and Ric Flair they were so emotional, whereas Austin for example, no one knew he was wrestling his last match which I think deprived the fans of an amazing moment with one of the greatest of all time.
good interview.. chris seems like a cerebral guy.. towards the end i feel like he contradicted himself with the heel in public act and then the following twitter question answer.. i don't think he was annoyed or anything of the sort though. he was just being himself and sometimes people (the viewing audience) don't know how to take that.. i feel like adam did a great job and the segway at the end was great.
to me he doesn't annoyed, uninterested, or like he doesn't want to be there, he just looks really, really, really tired.
+cory “Dark Fire” Lockman I agree, he looks pretty drained. I think it's the tour.
+cory „Dark Fire“ Lockman agreed too^^ He looks pretty tired .. maybe its after the show^^
it was a very poor interview to be fair
Ceem Play I thought it was fine....
themuffinladdy It gave us nothing we don't already know, generic questions and Jericho wasn't up for it at all.
When Jericho is with his band he just doesn't like answering wrestling questions... I get that vibe from him.
+NikoReviews lololol
yeah I could see that. At the same time he could have not invited What Culture in the first place.
+Christopher Borelli He might as well not have, he came across like a dick and did himself few favours with this. Bad day or whatever Chris Jericho can turn it on every night but not for a 12 minute interview with Adam? Poor form.

How is living in the Philippines being blessed?
you understood it wrong. he meant himself (the one who commented)
After watching this I will never.....evvvvverrrrr....be the same.....again.
+Louis Brennan NOW you realize? Gg m8
+Louis Brennan
Since when did anybody ever thought of him other than that?
+Louis Brennan Now you realize? Did you forget this was the same guy who slapped one of his girl fans in front of hundreds of his fans?
+Joshua O'Neill nor will Adam
Yea totally Jericho is a dick
he just looked absolutely exhausted. I've seen wrestlers and celebs being assholes, this wasn't it.
He looked sooooo interested didn't he?
llooooll
+LUFC Holmesy He probably just got done with a concert and is exhausted. Fozzy is touring at the moment.
He's 45, and is tired as shit...
AG TEX thanks

+Izaak Harper both
*like a walking talking mid life crisis
+Smallafro Games thats so on point i cant help but chuckle.
+Izaak Harper He's always drunk.
Glad to see Im not the only one who picked up on Jericho's disinterest.
He seemed so guarded at first but then started lightening up towards the end
agreed. I think he's waking up. he's been wrestling and touring with his band all year.
+Krystal Flores you watch this channel too :D
+MaddMike holy!! What a small RUclips world! Yes, I sub to this channel as well. I love watching the Adams!
Hahaha oh man! You need to find some scary stories about wrestlers now, haha!
Krystal Flores lmao I know right haha
+MaddMike theres a rumor that WWE Legends Ric Flair and Edge being in a haunted hotel. thats all I know about it.
Jericho is a very nice and humble guy. Look at his eyes, he's obviously just tired as hell. The dude is a work horse, I'm not surprised.
I read the comments first and after watching the video Chris didnt seem rude at all he just gave honest answers and maybe seemed a bit tired or distracted but atleast he's being real
+jay bull I feel like he was tired. Sometimes he comes off as a dick but I don't think he means to.

I know he probably likes talking to fans and having interviews, but I just feel like he doesn't want to be there.
he is high
He is old, and tired as hell.
+Mashmarriner69 well answering some boring questions that he already answered 1000 times isn't fun

+Edi Javoric yeah probably
Who else is here from the 10 things WWE wants you to forget about Chris Jericho?

Niamh Roddie me
I actually think that once Adam starts asking intricate Wrestling-related questions, Y2J started lighting up. Good interview as always, Adam!
Kamal Al-Dheeb totally agree. You gotta figure Jericho's been interviewed thousands of times and it's just wrote memorization at this point. To get an insightful question has to be a great opportunity.
Jericho seemed like he didn't want to be there?
+Jamie Sutherland had a buzz i think
+lance Johnson it just looked like he weren't paying much attention and just wanted to leave
+Jesse Cruz excatly
Would you want to be there?
+Jamie Sutherland What a lot of people don't know is that wrestlers and really any celebrities usually have a number of interviews a day, so this was probably one of many he was doing. Most underrated wrestler in history.
First WWE undisputed champ.
2 or 3 WHC (i believe) in WWE.
HE WAS UNDERRATED IN WCW CUZ THEY NEVER WANTED TO GIVE HIM A PUSH BUT IN WWE HE NEVER WAS UNDERRATED.
the hell 😂😂 do u even watch wrestling?
+06hurdwp Underrated? I don't think so. Perry Saturn was way more underrated in my opinion and deserved the same kind of push as Jericho, Benoit and Guererro.
Underrated? He's one of the best of all time...
you mean shelton benjamin or christian
Wow Jericho is beginning to look like Piper. man
I was thinking the exact thing.
+Chris Amador it's weird man.
Yes well he is 45
+Muhammad Asif haha
+Gerry McWilliam I have subscribed to your amazing channel plz can you do the same
Thank you Adam and what culture for this interview. I love Jericho he is one of my favourite wrestlers of all time and it's nice to see him have an interview and be himself. I found it very interesting. Great job!
Jericho looks exhausted here. Man, get any sleep lately? 💀
+izzi He is basically saying you don't need to be a real heel I think, and that since kayfabe is dead, there's no point being a real heel, but idk :P
He only acts like a heel to fans when they come up to him before or after a show, but if he was on vacation somewhere and u spotted him he wouldve been normal
He's saying that when they're in character they should act like heels but they're also allowed to be themselves (have their own lives)
+izzi Let's go with his actor analogy it is fine for an actor to have social media but not a character to post out of character unless the story calls for it and with a clear payoff for doing so. I thought the same thing.
Jericho does not look impressed
i was going to say the same thing
BristolRoversFan seriously tho he looks annoyed with the whole thing
+Patrick King He probably had a lot of interviews to do. But I agree that he could have at least acted more impressed.
+Patrick King I think he was just tired or maybe it was a bad day.
Chris after the Video ends: adam... YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!!!!!
Even if Jericho was tired or unimpressed, he's Chris Jericho, he can do whatever he wants...
I don't think you did exaggerate by saying a thousand there
I clicked to reply and my two points had been made.
Adam is the best at giving interviews because he doesn't ask annoying questions and doesn't piss off the wrestlers.
Jericho looked so old, and like he didn't want to be there.
+Marc Rennie I think he was just tired or maybe it was a bad day.
He always looks like that haha
That was a great interview! Jericho has no filter and said his mind, exactly what I wanted!
Must have picked the wrong day to interview the guy. Seemed so uninterested
Come on guys.. Maybe he was tired or just really relaxed.. He talks about wrestling so often, he had 145 concerts behind him.. Yet he still gave great answers.. I like this better then someone fake acting like a super cool rockstar or something
I think he gave a good interview that seemed to be on the fly
Adam is a solid interviewer. He asked questions that took someone who clearly didn't want to be there to someone who was mildly interested in the conversation.
Kurt Angle came across sooooo much better
That's because Jericho is on a tour with his band atm. He needs to talk soft to save his throat and he's probably extremely tired.
+The Dutch LAD Not arguing with that, just saying Kurt came across better
TomMellorx I totally agree, just declaring why :D
:)The Dutch LAD
+Illuminati “New” World Order $$$$$
Guarantee he's exhausted during this interview. If anyone has seen his band live they know he puts and incredible amount of high energy the entire show!
Actually a pretty good interview, pretty interesting stuff
You had to warm him up a bit there and you made some progress by the end of it, so well done for sticking with it.
This would have been awkward if the video about "10 things want you to forget about Chris Jericho" was released before this interview
WELCOME TO WHATCULTURE IS JERICHO!!!!
DDP Yoga must have done a number on Jericho
It's the life of Jericho... It wears ya down maaaaaaaaan. ..The guy is a very active legend. So true are the words, "The gift of Jericho".. Appreciate the hell out of the guy.
i actually thought he gave some interesting answers
Whenever Adam just listens to Jericho talk, he just looks so happy and interested
Never meet your heroes, kids. :(
In spite of whatever it was in regards to Chris Jericho that made this interview seemingly difficult to watch, let's give some kudos to Adam for simply being able to do this interview, holding his own, and remaining professional. I'm sure CJ will realize that Adam's interview was a benevolent and wholehearted attempt on behalf of us hardcore fans.
I don't get what your Problem is. He seems very genuine in this Interview. He's tired I bet.
Where are his eye brows ?
left them in japan
k4bloggs lmao XD
Chris clearly tired as fuck but really friendly and receptive towards the interview. Great guy! good job, Adam. Some pretty nice questions there
Please interview my Ryback next Adam
or hulk hogan i would die of laughter, because it would be so awkward
Fuck ryback
Lol that Adam giggle when Jericho said f*ck off had me on the floor
Jericho really kills me with these scarfs around His necks. It makes me cringe.
same
+Chris Amador He does it to piss off Vince who hates scarfs with a passion!
He only has one neck
lmao 😂👆 only one neck
I've met Chris, and believe me, he's a great guy. Very nice and loves answering fans questions. I believe he was just tired in this interview.
Well, no, you won the WWF Title as a Face before, it's just not recognized.
weeeeeellllllllllll if you want to be technical about it if the decision was reversed then he didn't officially win
Good interview. always fascinating to hear the views of any wrestler on wrestling. Y2J is one of the best. Well done Adam.
Looks like Chris really does not want to be there. Or maybe he is drunk. or both
Was this after a Fozzy concert? He looked exhausted.
When did his entire left fucking arm get tattooed?
within the last two years. its been getting pieced together.
Its shit tho
It doesn't look right with the tattoo
+Billy Rogers tru
Top 5 for me. Love this guy
Seems so bored
+CM RUclips I think he was just tired or maybe it was a bad day.
man he's full of energy!!!!!
He just seems chilled, giving straight answers, think the questions could have been a bit more open and personal maybe.
Those 2008 and 09 feuds were two of my favourites also
He always sounds so nice and exited in his podcast :(
Very awesome interview!
Probably the first time that Jericho doesn't look Super hyper and Energized.
Thank you asking my question.
What an absolute legend.
guys he's not annoyed and uninterested he is just exhausted and tired evidence he is drinking water every time he is asked a question
I like the interview. Chris keeps it real and kinda gives you a sense of how cut and dry the business is
Adam nailed the ending segway. Bravo
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL
Did he say Wolverhampton? That's brilliant
I want his shirt! Love Jim Morrison
I've seen literally hundreds of Chris Jericho interviews... his style can come across like he doesn't give a shit but he is very confident and direct and has answered these same questions for years now. Cut him some slack! Plus is that Vodka in his cup?
they should do more interviews like this on this channel!
Great interview
I think this was after a concert so I understand why he is so down.
I really liked that interview
Chris looked his happiest when the interview ended
He doesn't look annoyed, he just looks really tired. Dude looks like he hasn't slept in a week.
What a way to start your interview
I've heard him answer all of these questions 1000 times
I've never seen a more appropriate video title.
I think he was tired, and was kind to try to answer the interview
What he said about being a heel is why KO is the best right now
Jericho looks like he was saving his first day of sleep for 2016 . He looks so tired
He is definitely a legend.
I think he's just tired guys. Very busy guy
Well I never thought I'd hear Chris Jericho mention my home of Wolverhampton legitimately had to double check he said it.
I have to say Adam asks really really good questions you know
good interview.. chris seems like a cerebral guy.. towards the end i feel like he contradicted himself with the heel in public act and then the following twitter question answer.. i don't think he was annoyed or anything of the sort though. he was just being himself and sometimes people (the viewing audience) don't know how to take that.. i feel like adam did a great job and the segway at the end was great.
I don't think he was disinterested or bored he looked kinda nervous at first but then seemed to get more comfortable towards the end
