    We are left behind because we keep electing old people who want to live in the 1950’s and 60’s. If we’re so great why do we still have old Amtrak trains and no high speed rail trains? Why are we still so beholden to oil companies when we should be driving mostly electric and solar powered vehicles. Other parts of the world looks like the future while much of the United States still looks like rural America. We need to elect leaders who understand this new world and move us forward. I do not like the idea of robots and automation taking our jobs but that is a new reality and it’s coming fast and our government needs to do something NOW. We all see self check out at the grocery stores and places like Wal Mart and Target and it’s only a matter of time because everything will be self check out even fast food like McDonalds. We have to stop fighting race wars and understand we’re all going to be left behind. I tell my kids to think for future jobs. My daughter is an insurance adjuster and I tell her she needs to re-educate her self over the next 5 to 6 years to do something news because automated cars will take off in 10 to 15 years and those cars will reduce accidents plunging the auto industry from car insurance to body shops and parts. We all have to think about the future now and not be left behind.

      How do you expect the general public to be informed when the US media is equally uninformed. This concept have been in use in Japan since 1970's. All these smart concepts from kitchen ware, bathroom accessories, gadgets, how cooking and food has changed in the west from borrowing overseas methods and even medicine, spirituality. I mean all kinds of things are borrowed and made into their liking. America has now been making things to their liking from borrowed lifestyle from overseas. But regular americans don't know this. Even in the 80's ....south korea PC was far ahead like 5 -7 years of America. US companies gained so much ideas from the minds of the east. And while Japan in the 90's ....just so high tech and so ahead....you hardly hear anything in our news. And then we borrow and think we created these things...but they are borrowed. Why do you think so much has exploded in our face before all we had was Wall Mart and crate and barrel. Now europe also is creating things like never before. It is blossoming there in their own way. But that is my point exactly. The media don't inform because they are so self centered and ego maniacs. Notice the new delivery people! Robots and technologies are not stealing jobs but creating some new careers! There will always be something for you to earn your life if you truly treasure new opportunities. People questioned the same thing of ‘job stealing’ during industrial revolution but we all know what happened: our life became better and the working environment became better.

    Every easy task can be automated, but should it be automated ? We can get rid of waiters and cleaning staff. To a point where all you need is a maintenance guy and a chef or cook. Even the cook can be replaced or downgraded to a prep and refill station.
    It's convenient in many ways mostly costwise both to the owner and maybe the consumer can get a better price.but we lack jobs and going auto will put alot of people out of a job. If we do make more jobs I say go for it but if we lack jobs we should wait.
    I also want to mention all the things shown in this video are old and have already been used like the food bot and grocery delivery all that stuff is already out in the u.s some of it beneficial bc it created new jobs. Although if you think about it waiters have become delivery people and event staff.
    Maybe the point is to invent stuff that helps the employees but doesn't replace them.
    Maybe to replace a task and create a new one for the employees.

    i dont think the US lacks innovation. I think Americans value privacy more than convenience. That resistance is what slows the progress of full-scale automation. The Chinese citizens have jumped into the "cashless" wagon without caring for its implications, resulting in faster development of automation and e-commerce. Perhaps they are too accustomed to being "watched" or maybe Americans are too paranoid.

    The problem with this is what about the people that rely on the jobs in those markets? I mean I love tech, but to switch the economy over to a full ecommerce lifestyle would cause millions to loose jobs and with limited jobs in the tech industry... This would be devastating. Look how many lost jobs when Wal-Mart's and big chains grew that took over the place of malls and ma/pa shops. People need to start think ahead in the future. With a growing population, all things like this tech does is increase the gap between the rich and the poor.

    • @jililin2078
      @jililin2078 5 лет назад

      Pharaoh of Kemet you know China’s population and work force are shrinking right? The Chinese government has seen what’s going on in Japan, Germany and US as a country’s population gets more educated the population will shrink. Fortunately, China is behind these countries so they are coming up with solutions to deal with this problem. And FYI China just uplifted it’s one child policy.

    • @PharaohofKemet
      @PharaohofKemet 5 лет назад

      @@jililin2078 ok, however, unless the Chinese population decreases to the size of the U.S. populations (which I highly doubt) This will not solve anything. The population can be as educated as it wants to be, jobs are still jobs. People go to school in the U.S. for many years and a good portion of them cant find a career in the field they studied for which resorts to people having to get lesser jobs etc. I'm trying to tell you that this will end up doing more harm in the long run.
