Luc Tuymans: The Barn / David Zwirner New York

Until 21 July 2023, David Zwirner presents new paintings by Belgian artist Luc Tuymans at the gallery’s 537 West 20th Street location in New York. Tuymans has been represented by David Zwirner since 1994; this is the Luc Tuymans' seventeenth show with the gallery.
The exhibition takes its title, The Barn, from a painting of the same name, which is based on an image the artist came across on RUclips. The show is conceived by Luc Tuymans as the third in a trilogy of exhibitions of his work at David Zwirner - following Good Luck (David Zwirner Hong Kong 2020), and Eternity (David Zwirner Paris 2022). Luc Tuymans: The Barn debuts a group of new, large-scale paintings by the artist.

The Bob Ross painting is just the coolest almost too cool !! Love it !! He does have a Matisse ..early Fauve painted surface, handmade touch . The no fuss, awkward brush and direct pigment to surface feel. They vibrate.

At the 23 second mark you captured one of the best paintings in the show........the outside window happening !! Great eye and it had a Tuymans feel. I always admired his work and what a character !!!!!!!!!
