Ky Penn I know she does but have you ever seen her smile during a routine? Not after one but during? I don't recall lol and this smile wasn't just any smile, she smiled because of an accomplishment because she knew she hit the turn and so it was another skill that's named after her
I like the way she builds her point through difficult spins and not just by flipping backwards and forwards throughout the whole 90 seconds. This actually gives her time to perform and be artistic.
Aliya always chooses the most interesting music. Her Hijo de la Luna still tops my list as the best music in floor exercise. And, her innate elegance and grace is unrivaled. I hope she qualifies in the finals as I feel that she will still upgrade some moves.
Damn, she hit the Triple Y and a Gomez in the same routine...awesome! Also, I'm so glad she took out the triple full - not only did it look dangerous for her knee (as she sometimes overrotated it), but it incurred more form deductions than it was worth. This is a fantastic routine for Aliya, and I hope she medals in AA and floor finals!
OMG Im so excited, hope she goes for full difficulty in the finals. the spins and landings were superb, and the final move is so gorgeaous, makes her look like a goddess
Mustafina was 7 tenths behind Biles in the AA of qualifications. But take into consideration, Mustafina can gain at least 3-4 tenths on uneven bars. 1 Tenth if she stuck her vault and around 8 tenths on beam. Believe it or not she has the potential to outscore Biles this year even without an Amanar 0_0!
i dont think so, the only reason biles only top for 0.7 its bc she fails on ub, and have to wait for iordache and chinesse gymnasts, and i really ask to me if mustafina gonna upgrade the floor like in russian cup or change the ub for the aa, u know if that a posibility?
Actually it´s kind of true that Mustafina didn't show her whole difficulty on beam, bars and floor and Simone actually did. That's an advantage for Mustafina but as they say above it's so much money involved, so Biles is expected to win. Even though, I wish Mustafina gets the AA gold, it's gonna be awesome!
im agree, to much money, the same happen in 2004 with khorkina and patterson, and komova and wieber 2 times, and mustafina i dont understand why she not put all difficulty, and if she do in the finals and aa, but i dont know, lets see in the competition,
gymnastsofrussia It wasn't a fall though. She missed a skill and had a form break but then again, she seems to be showing nerves here and there, so we just have to wait and see and Mustafina could save 0.3 on her first pass by adding the stag and earning 0.1 in bonus. There's a lot of areas it's just comes down to who can successfully put everything together.
Maravilha!!!!!!!!!! Tanta capacidade física reunida em uma ginasta! Além da parte psicomotora, a expressão... Linda!!!! Parabéns! Para chegar nessa qualidade é preciso uma base, um começo...
this routine actually growed A LOT for me with good camera work and zoom (the videos from russian cup were awful), a lot of little details and expression. i still think there's a couple of silly moves (like what she's doing before the second pass), but overall it's a good expressive strong routine, like all of mustafina's work on floor. i just love what's she's doing before the leap series, so beautiful.
Am I the only one who doesn't like her choreography? Aliya is a beautiful gymnast but that is what is carrying her through this routine, since the choreography is so totally lacking in creativity. Anyway, that triple Y was awesome! And her smile after it, I know she had been struggling with it in training. So wonderful to see her hit. Do I think she has a chance to win the AA gold? No, not unless Biles screws up royally, which is possible but unlikely. If both girls perform to their maximum I pin Aliya for silver. That will make three WC in which she has medaled in the AA!
plus olympics lets not forget. Meaning for 4 years she has been one of the worlds absolute best gymnasts, a feat that neither simone, ross Jinnan or Iordache have yet. Lets hope she medals :D
Right, I wasn't counting the Olympics for some reason, lol. No one has really had the astounding success of Musty in a long time. Yao and Iordache are way more inconsistent, Biles hasn't been around as long, and Ross is less strong of an all arounder. I can easily see Musty competing in Rio.
It is weird watching the FIG recordings because the BBC always films on the other side of the podium, so it is a completely different view of the routine.
Understated elegance. I like it; the choreography may not be everyone's cup of tea, but she brings it with a certain kind of flair. Her upper body reminds me of Pavlova and you can clearly see the ballet training shining through it.
Unfortunately a gymnast from Uzbekistan successfully performed the Triple Y turn in qualifiers today too, so the skill will be added to the FIG Code but won't be named after Musty or Saparbaeva.. (The skill will be called " The Mustafina" in my book though)
I don't care if that turn isn't named after her (apparently because an Uzbekistan gymnast stole the turn from her), the triple Y spin will always be the Mustafina in my book.
This was beautiful Aliya is a bit underrated sometimes she bounced back from her gold medal in London immediately while most gymnasts took a year or 2 out . There is one thing that bothers me slightly is why in the world champs do not all the gymnasts have their countries colours on ?
can anyone explain to me where those deductions came from? the only major things i could spot were the form issues in her second pass and a step after that double tuck.
interesting construction, Aliya is one who knows how to perform with this kind of enchanting music. But in my opinion 3 variations of pirouettes (most of all the preparation time for each) get kind of repetitive and stop the flow of the routine.
euler2718100 Well idk about money but I agree, Simone was overscored in qualificaitons by atleast 5tenths overall. That's at the very least. I just hope she fails again in AA so that the world can see what's going on if she gets crowned AA champion
I don't think simone was overscored much. Aliya is more elegent than simone, but simone has more difficult tumbling passes and the quality is better as well.
011cra Agreed! How can her beam execution score: 8.7333 and Black score: 7.966.. Both of them are shaky. Even Biles incredibly high for the few wobbles rather than Black.
She's as beautiful to watch as ever, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of this new floor routine. The choreography is just not the usual brand of creativity and elegance that we've come to expect from her, and the music definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I will be intrigued to see if she goes for all four tumbling passes in AA/TF/EF, though. But given that she's only done three tumbling passes all year, I don't think she will. I really doubt she'll medal in the AA. It'll require a fair amount of mistakes from Iordache, Biles, and/or Yao for Mustafina to find herself on the AA podium. Ah well. It's high time Queen Aliya retires, anyway. She really should call it quits while she's still (relatively) on top of her game.
I find your thoughts interesting. Iordache and Jinnan. Both performed their best and qualified well below mustafina. I don't see why you think Musty will only medal if the others make mistakes. Iordache is very weak on bars and Jinnan is very weak on floor. Musty has a higher D potential than both of them and Biles too for that matter. Now Biles did make a mistake and Musty could not pass her so gold would be a long shot, but everyone had a great competition so the only way Musty won't be on the podium, is if she faltered herself. If everyone hits, she will still get a silver. I don't see her retiring anytime soon, qualified to 3 finals, second in the AA, not too shabby.
Rien I agree Mustafina will be on the podium unless she falters, but what makes you say they all had a great competition? Biles and Iordache had serious form errors on bars, Yao fell on floor, Mustafina didn't make any of her beam combinations. I guess only Yao had a really disastrous routine since she fell, but all four of them have the potential for bigger scores.
Kathryn Palazzoto But that's exactly my point. They all have room to improve equally, by about a point, which would keep the standings the same. You are making it seem like the only way Musty is going to medal is if the others falter. Which is not the case because all 4 faltered equally and Musty still qualified second. Saying that if they all hit perfectly, Musty will still be second. She does not need to rely on the fallure of others like miss Kyla ross, she has everything she needs to medal on based on her own talent.
Aliya's FX was the best of the Russians but that's not saying much. Pretty much all of the Russian FX consists of nothing but pretty poses and not much else. The only one who actually performed on floor in recent times was Afan (how I miss her). Their admittedly lovely carriage fools people into thinking that they are the second coming of the Soviets but is much rather watch Biles, who has dynamic tumbling and sells the hell out of her routine.
FX isn't Aliya's strongest event, if anything it is her weakest...For me it is anyone but Simone Biles to win AA or floor. The overscoring is blatant for her. Of course I am team GB first who have qualified ahead of Romania...and are in fourth place right now...that is amazing.
Romania is not doing anything productive with their team.....Great Britain is having an amazing year and having a really strong team...They should beat Romania in finals too...i mean after all Romania almost didn't even qualify for the team final
Kristian Kowalski They don't have the gymnasts any more. It is expensive for the parents, until they become Elite and the stories of abuse by B&B, have made people reluctant to send their children away.
To reply to ogre dan, I think it's silly to wear socks so you can perform more turns. Great tumblings, with the twists slightly better than usual. Music is nice but choreography is not suited at all: it is very boring and static, with no surprise effects at all.

I love Aliya but this is just "eh" for me. She's wearing socks so she can do ridiculously hard turns. It's a clever way to get around her knee problem but shows how the new code is killing gymnastics as a whole.

Her smile after the Mustafuna turn/spin!!!! That was beautiful!
so beautiful, she was very confident :D
I love her smile after that triple turn 💖😍
True🥺
❤️
❤ because she knew that her name was going to be in the code once more 😊
OMG I can't believe I saw her smile after the Triple Y. I've never seen her smile. that was so cute haha
she smiles all the time if you follow her at all. she smiled when she won gold in london after her routine in event finals.
Ky Penn I know she does but have you ever seen her smile during a routine? Not after one but during? I don't recall lol and this smile wasn't just any smile, she smiled because of an accomplishment because she knew she hit the turn and so it was another skill that's named after her
011cra Good point! I guess I would be smiling too if I knew a skill was going to be named after me :) Its rated and E, right?
Ky Penn Yea, it's an E skill :)
011cra you can see her smile even before she finished it?
I like the way she builds her point through difficult spins and not just by flipping backwards and forwards throughout the whole 90 seconds. This actually gives her time to perform and be artistic.
Aliya always chooses the most interesting music. Her Hijo de la Luna still tops my list as the best music in floor exercise. And, her innate elegance and grace is unrivaled. I hope she qualifies in the finals as I feel that she will still upgrade some moves.
I couldn't agree more!
Hijo de la Luna... I speak spanish and that song is beauty and mystical. Such a great choose.
The mustafina! Her smile after it is priceless =)
What a pleasure it is to watch Mustafina..She has so much grace and beauty.
That was a great execution and a beautiful smile. :)
Damn, she hit the Triple Y and a Gomez in the same routine...awesome! This is a fantastic routine for Aliya, and I hope she medals in AA and floor finals!
OMG! I can't stop of seeing that triple Y turn again and again AMAZING!!!!!😍😍
Loved the smile when she completed the triple Y-turn, knowing that she added another move under her name. Great accomplishment!
I agree. And she does not really smile in her performances. Love her.
***** unless the other girl doesn't complete it, then it will be named after Mustafina.
She won't get it named after her:( someone else competed it too...
XXheart_breakerXx I know, but Mustafina competed it first. If the Uzbekistan gymnast didn't, then it will be named after Mustafina.
Moka Akashiya really? That would be great:) i hope for so long now that mustafina her it named after her
OMG Im so excited, hope she goes for full difficulty in the finals. the spins and landings were superb, and the final move is so gorgeaous, makes her look like a goddess
The Mustafina turn.
Beautiful
Mustafina always has the most beautiful music. And her choreography is always unrivaled, as well.

LOVE to see a happy Mustafina! Really nice to see her smile after the tumbling passes, and the spins! So BEAUTIFUL!
Yes finally she gets the triple Y! And her twisting form is much improved!
Not my favourite floor excercise, but good so see her so relaxed and happy with her performance!
wow.. she finally made it! behold the mustafina on floor at 0:35!! and that lopez! perfectioN!
I think that was a gomez she actually did 4 turns!
Se hit all her spins including the Gómez.
Very graceful!
Absolutely love this routine.
I loved when she beat Skinner! Was the best feeling ever!
Maravilha!!!!!!!!!! Tanta capacidade física reunida em uma ginasta! Além da parte psicomotora, a expressão... Linda!!!! Parabéns! Para chegar nessa qualidade é preciso uma base, um começo...

Yea her 2010 worlds routine was the best!
Choreography can be disaster but Aliya makes it look flawless!
I don't really like this choreo either, I'm with you all the way, I don't see the story that she usually tells in her past floor routines
The smile after the "mustafina" makes me so happy, shes amazing.
Very elegant performance!
Aliya, I love you !!!😍 thanks for been in this world !!!
love her music, and her Lopez OMG!
MOST EXCELLENT! THANK YOU! WONDERFUL WORK! VERY MUCH APPRECIATED! BLESSINGS!

***** is it? :O
Moka Akashiya Yes! gymnastike made an article about it on their website actually!
***** I just saw it :D this makes me so happy! Musty must be ecstatic as well.
Moka Akashiya yeah definitely!!
Great from her and her form is much better I love mustafina she's the best &the most elegant of them 💜
Stratosfericamente stratosferica!!!! Grande aliya😙😙😙😙
Very elegancy! Lovely Mustafina ♥
A lovely and beautiful routine. and i love her smile.
This is it GYMNASTIC ARTISTIC
Aliya!! Yes!!!! awesome!
Love her
Wow,She is awesome!
She's smiles 😃😊🙂😀😄😁 of her!

THAT MUSTAFINA😍😍😍😍
love how she landed without the floor making noise
Still don't understand why the triple Y turn wasn't named after her after these championships. She clearly got it around three times here.
But it is named after her!
Just me or does Aliya always miss the world champions that are before the olympic ino one year then goes and win gold in olympics
That smile!!
My Queen!
Behold! The mustafina turn!
Another skill named after her :)
Nope...it's not named after her
Kristian Kowalski yes it was. it's official
can anyone explain to me where those deductions came from? the only major things i could spot were the form issues in her second pass and a step after that double tuck.
I don't see why her execution score is lower than Biles'.
Did you not see that horrid twisting??
+EstherC Cus bitch can't compete with BILES...
KickRocks131 ,can't stand Bile's routine boring and horrible,
Amazing!
I think if she adds the whips and the stag jump in her first tumble pass and a double turn after her memmel, her SV is gonna be around 6.4 !! :O
Идеально сложена: попа, ноги , вообще все тело, да и лицо красивое ❤️
Ah that lovely smile 0:36
Perfeita
does someone know whats the name of her music? Love it!
interesting construction, Aliya is one who knows how to perform with this kind of enchanting music. But in my opinion 3 variations of pirouettes (most of all the preparation time for each) get kind of repetitive and stop the flow of the routine.
Hi Aiyla jest SUPER!
Красавица!!!У неё уже большой опыт выступления,так что в многоборье всех обойдет!
Uff! She's awesome ❤❤❤❤
Where are the e-deductions?
Hops on landings, turn preparation, twisting form
Just the normal little things here and there. I didn't see anything major. All tiny deductions.
Her smile at Triple Y ❤️
I wish she will perform the same in the AA.. and that Simone will be judged fairly.
Unfortunately, Simone will never be judged fairly -- there is just too much money involved.
euler2718100 Well idk about money but I agree, Simone was overscored in qualificaitons by atleast 5tenths overall. That's at the very least. I just hope she fails again in AA so that the world can see what's going on if she gets crowned AA champion
I don't think simone was overscored much. Aliya is more elegent than simone, but simone has more difficult tumbling passes and the quality is better as well.
euler2718100 it's the same old story quad after quad, isn't it?
011cra Agreed! How can her beam execution score: 8.7333 and Black score: 7.966.. Both of them are shaky. Even Biles incredibly high for the few wobbles rather than Black.

Did she qualify second....Bars will be the big piece for her....

Did she get a medal?:)
So does anyone know if Mustafina is planning to find a personal coach after these Worlds. Seriously, if only we could ask Mustafina these questions?
Whats is the value of firts tumble pass?
someone knows the name of the music ? please
What is the song title of the last party of her floor routine ? Does anybody know it?
Queen
0:35
Any medal?:)
Aliya just got the bronze on floor :) :)
the name of music? the second music i want
The best
6.0 d score ? OMG overscored
Wdym overscored? Do you even know the COP dumboo
Wow!!!

whats the music at 00:35 ?
E score should have been a tad higher IMO.
To reply to ogre dan, I think it's silly to wear socks so you can perform more turns. As a gymnast, it seems like a cop out, like the idea of widening the ends of the balance beam to facilitate harder dismounts. (This idea was proposed at one point.) since the death of the perfect 10, gymnastics has lost much of its artistry and perfection. The code makes chucking hard skills a priority over performing technically perfect skills, since the deductions for form don't outweigh the reward of a high start value.
I wish she had BETTER CHOREOGRAPHY!!!!
That smile :'D
SO HAPPY THE CRAZY EYE MAKEUP IS GONE!!! YAY!!! She is so beautiful and talented. Great Worlds for her.
Triple Y turn!
Great tumblings, with the twists slightly better than usual. Music is nice but choreography is not suited at all: it is very boring and static, with no surprise effects at all.
I think the choreography could have been more dynamic. Execution was amazing, but lacked a bit of stage presence.
If she'd have performed like this in the aa she'd have medalled but she fell on her double Arabian and generally underperformed and Lordache and Ross overperformed. She should have medalled but didn't.
I love Aliya but this is just "eh" for me. She's wearing socks so she can do ridiculously hard turns. It's a clever way to get around her knee problem but shows how the new code is killing gymnastics as a whole.

She has good Carriage in her movements, but her routines aren't that interesting
жаль что Мустафина растолстела и запустила себя сейчас
Why does she insist on wearing such heavy makeup? Makes her look years older than she actually is.
Zzzzzzz
