Best she has ever performed this routine. I felt the emotions behind it. She literally carried Romania on her back
Larisa is a bundle of energy - no time to rest in this routine and the choreography is great, really suits her and the musicality is excellent.
She is gracefull.She can dance.When you watch her gymnastic seems to be easy.Her movements are flowing.This is artistic gymnastic indeed.
Her landings were super impressive and, unlike some other highly favored contenders to the world title this year, she CAN actually dance. What a treat this routine was! I hope she does just as well, if not better in the team competition and in event finals!
There's dancing in this routine? All I saw was a lot of running around and some arm movements before tumbling passes. If I want to watch dancing in a floor routine I'd watch Afran's floors

+TheGymSavant It'll be hard with Aly and Simone; if they don't go 1-2 in some order, I'll be quite surprised.
I have my hopes up for Afanasyeva - 6.4 difficulty and clean. She will probably go ahead of raisman if they both go clean.
You can see it in that brilliant smile she knows she's got this! Love her gymnastics! I'm very happy she ended up on the podium! (It was great when the bee was swarming and biles Ross and Larissa all huddled in the 1st place spot! Best podium moment ever!!)

If she hit her turns in Finale and change her double pike into a pike full in...she can beat Biles. I love her smile the whole routine...nobody does it :)
She did amazing..yes! I love watching her. But have you watched Simons's FX? She actually smiles more than Larissa. Her coach actually tried to get her to tone it down a little but soon realized that's just Simone! I am so happy it wad these 3 young ladies on the podium AA.. Way to go girls!

Why is everyone bypassing subdivision 9 and Italy? They finished ahead of Romania. Can you please upload Ferrari's and Fasana's FX? They made the FX final, I think they're worth watching.

Gabriela Guimarães yeah she got injured at the end of 2013 but is now coming back, she'll be competing at an intenational competition in Switzerland in December and already competed at national level at the beginning of September, but she only had beam ready at that time.. :)
Great landings but I noticed that she lands them all with her chest close to the ground except the triple twist. How much of a deduction is that compared to steps?
I am no expert but if I had to guess....3 tenths? Someone correct me if I am wrong. Small steps are 1 tenth and shoulder width or greater 3 tenths.
***** didn't say all. said all but the triple twist. she had low chest landings at ROM nationals as well. not saying i don't like the routine just seems like if you want to nitpick between her and simone, here's a difference.

Just my opinion, no attacks please...I am all for USA:
I say Mustafina may be in the mix for third...she always has some very smart tricks up her sleeve...just saying, you can never count her out! She is one who doesn't always "show all her cards" so to speak, until it really counts. Skinner gets dinged so much on her E score...and here is Musty doing only 3 tumbling passes and multiple turns/spins to earn her final-worthy score...she really is a genius! : )
Sarah Halverson I would agree with you on Simone, but I think that Iordache won't be 2nd, she really hit all her passes here (not the turns) and you can easily deduct more from them if she has too much power and doesn't land like she did here. For me 2nd place is Mustafina, she didn't really hit in qualifications and she can upgrade again if she feels the need to and on top of that she's always better in event finals than in qualifications. Iordache/Skiner will be 3rd
Mustafina qualified second AA with out bringing her A game to the bars or on Floor....she is pacing herself for the week, team, AA and three Event Finals...
So glad this is a peaceful conversation with different opinions. I love how Larissa doesn't take much time in between the passes and also her landings were spot on. Also think Biles takes the gold.
***** The very expectation that she is certain for the gold is a huge pressure on her, she has to be flawless. It is not hers until she earns it. Remember in London how Jordyn Weiber and Mykayla Maroney were big favourites and Aliya Mustafina was not expected to do well, due to recovery from injury, yet she is an Olympic Champion and is still at the top and has been there for four years and she is still qualified in 2nd for AA, plus three event finals. Biles has the Team competition first which also carries the weight of expectation of gold, woe betide them losing to China or Russia in the US media...Mustafina could win silver AA yet still win on bars, with a much upgraded routine.

She downgraded her last pass from the full-in pike it will undoubtedly be in EFs if she's serious about the gold.

I just LOVE and adore her gymnastics. As much as I appreciate Simone's power, as a former ballet dancer I wish she would take the gold on floor.

My fav routine of the entire comp. I LOVE Iordache on floor, she has such a charm when performing to this music. She just needs to learn to control her spins, and sometimes her dance can be bit too bouncy making it look like she's losing control a bit. But overall I love it! Such an awesome routine!
Love this gymnast!!! Absolutely love her technique. If she keeps this up, she will def earn herself a spot on the podium in Rio.

I do like Biles and I know this is wishful thinking but, god do I want Larisa to take the gold for FX. She's an utter joy to watch.
Her dancing is great, but someone can be the most talented dancer ever and make you not feel this. When you watch her you can really tell that she loves what she is doing, and she knows hot to put on a performance.

the landings were very impressive. stuck double2x and full in! the gomez should not be credited and she stumbled on her double memmel. but the rest of the routine is clean. I am rooting for her for Gold!

At a previous competition she was throwing a full in pike as her last pass. She'll likely upgrade for finals - I just hope she swaps the full in pike to second pass and full in tuck to last pass.

Can someone please explain to me the difference between a full-in and a double double? I've watched both of her first tumbling passes many many times, but I honestly can't tell the difference between them!
A full in is a double somersault where your body twists completely 360 degrees in the first flip, then goes straight backwards in the second flip. Catalina Ponor's full ins are good to explain the concept. A double pike is a double somersault with straight legs forming a 90 degree angle or less in the hip.
However, Larisa's first pass is a double twisting double back. Her last pass is a double pike here and she changed it to a piked full in for the AA and event final.
Full-in is two somersaults with a full twist, while a double double has two somersaults and two twists.
her only problems are the Memmel and the Gomez, I wonder why she tries to compete them, she should perform a triple spin into Popa and put back her Bulimar
