I would NOT want to go completely cashless. Any massive computer system glitch would make an issue (of course, checking out would also be an issue). Plus, I just don't like the potential tracking of every purchase. Is the tooth fairy going to have to Venmo?

I'm very happy for the Brightline success...I live in Spain and the whole high-speed train network is a money pit with hundreds of million € losses every year

Love the new channel! I personally *never* use cash unless I know somewhere is cash only, or to have on hand for gratuity (ie. valet drivers.) Apple pay for the win😂However, I can definitely understand people's concern about going completely electronic and businesses not accepting "legal tender." I've seen a lot of the "no cash" businesses pivot back to also accepting cash as of late.

Going cashless is naive. Thinking computer systems can’t go down. (But they do) Or power outages. (Which do happen). Going to give your child a credit or debit card to pay their school lunch? Wanna help out a homeless person, busker … are they going to have machines to retrieve their money? What about a cash present for birthday or Christmas? Going to complicate it by making a transfer to a bank? What if the person is too young to have a bank account yet? What is more infuriating are selfish people only thinking about their convenience, when it’s going to be an inconvenience to someone else. This society has had physical currency for more than 2 millenniums and in the blink of an eye change to an all digital currency without really thinking of the ramifications? And before anyone says …. “Got to move with the times” …. That’s what some people said with hydrogen filled dirigibles 100 years ago. Plus going with paper bags at the grocery store. Then move to plastic in the 80s. Now we are back to paper. Society makes plenty of stupid mistakes just to revert or abolish what they did in the so called name of Progress!

We’re hearing that a lot! Has to be easier than going to exchange a bunch of USD into different currency
