I was amazed at the bezel when you zoom in; at first, I thought it was just a normal round shape, but it is so nicely cut and shaped. Also, to answer your question about the simple black dial; I have some opinion of this that I want to explain with other details... It is a good way to make an anniversary watch I think. Black is ALWAYS nice. Colors, shapes and dial textures can become old or they depend on what is popular and in "fashion". This way, it never "dies". This also has some meaning to me with the Astron, because we take something simple, but it sounds futuristic. I has "high tech" features that make this feel like a watch that will be good for a long future. It is not like an Automatic. The black dial is also elegant but humble at the same time. It also helps to make you focus on the dials and indices. It is very clean for a very busy dial. It is like the opposite of Citizen Navihawk that are very very busy, but also do not make it so easy to read the time (I like the Citizen Navihawk very much as well). Maybe it is a way to express how Mr. Hattori was as a man? A simple man, who like complex watches, but makes clean and simple dials, nothing that is too extravagant or flashy.. and it will be good even in the far future. These are only my thoughts, I do not think this is what Seiko think of. Haha! This watch is incredibly beautiful, some of the things I like the most are the shape and size of the indices, but also the gold at 12. The hands are so nice and I really like the idea of putting the seconds arrow at the counter-balance. It is a good balance to make the dial at 6 to be gold and also the "Seiko" brand at 12 to be gold. It gives good proportions and make it nice to look at. Good focus for the eyes. I could go on and on about this watch, I am so impressed, but you already mention everything so well... your presentation is really professional! I appreciate to see the way the lugs fit on the wrist. I was surprised how well it forms even on a small wrist.

Fantastic video! Fantastic watch! I have one Astron SSH021, and love it a lot! That black Astron coating, is worst thing they made. Why? Because I saw when there are many scratches, there are left bright marks as lot of contrast vs black coating, which makes that beautifull watch VERY UGLY!!! Thats only reason I never buy it!

My uncle has an astron which is very old. Second hand aligns up perfectly with hour markers dead-on. It's probably because of the camera angles he is recording
