AMAAAAZING! I love osume keycaps, they are so minimal and clean, not over the top in your face styles which is so nice, they go great with any keeb! I've got sakura and winterglow arriving soon!!!

I got one just to try what an acrylic KB sounds like and I was really shocked. If there was one improvment to be made it would be to slightly chamfer the top plate, even if it is just a small 1mm bevel, it would be much more comfortable and less sharp when in contact with your hands.
???right, it was a pretty satisfying sound. i wouldve def use this keyboard more often if it was also angled a higher. it feels to flat for me sadly. also yes to the keeping it more smooth and less sharp edges. it does feel a little rough when in contact

Nice video! Really like the keyboard. Some advice for the camera focus issue. I would recommend that you set the focus to manual mode and set it to a fixed point over the table if you know you are going to record alot in the same position.

How are the tactiles compared to the linears? I've been having my eye on KTT Kang Whites so I'm curious to see what you think about linear vs tactiles and switches you've tried so far.
thank you!! 🥺 i’ve actually tried the ktt kang whites, it’s on my ciy gas67 build :> comparing the ktt kang whites (linear) vs ktt mallo (tactile), the ktt kang whites i tried were mushy? i like the sound of it but maybe i over lubed them? ktt kang whites on the ciy gas67 is quieter + muted vs ktt mallo on the akko acr75 v2, which is poppier but with warmth to it if that makes sense? i prefer the ktt mallo though bec it has a light tactile feel and doesnt feel mushy compared to the ktt kang whites. i can’t compare them fully as its on different boards which can change the sound to them. it all depends on your preference! have you tried either?
@@poongie i haven't tried either but i'm looking at the deeper pitched linear section, and since the ktt kang whites are pretty well priced and fit those categories i thought they would be a good purchase

fair warning tho, there are a lot of elitist assholes in this community who will try to tear you down for using a particular switch/mod/lube/keyboard/keycap set... Just ignore them and if your keyboard makes you happy, that's all that matters!

Finally some akko boards! How are you finding this one so far? My first board happened to be an akko board too, but it was an old model, non-hotswappable and a TKL. Despite that, the akko board was the one that pulled me into the rabbit hole!
I've never tried an acrylic board before as I wasn't much of a fan of see-through/acrylic cases (I almost bought one in the past but chickened out in the end lol - I wasn't sure about the muted sound profile) but I did hear they have good acoustics as they don't make the case sound so hollow? What's your take and experience?
Also osume keycaps!! One of the prettiest keycap sets. I always love looking at them but could never bring myself to buy a set because of the price. I love the colour pallete of this set you have though.

yes! i would like to build more akko keyboards but i gotta get through my other keyboards first before i get another one 😆this keyboard is quite nice, it reminds of the popular womier keyboards! i think it’s better than womier k87, it has more dampening and premium feel to it, south facing pcb and has akko driver (never tried it but really want to, have you tried it?). my first mechanical keyboard is actually a ducky one tkl 😂. i can’t believe that used to be my daily driver lol
i’ve had friends that tried acrylic keyboards, so i wanted to try for myself since they seem to like it. especially bec my goal is to try keyboards with different material, layout, features, price points etc. so far i like it, i feel like i really didn’t have to mod anything other than lubed switches and stabs, they sound pretty similar modded vs stock. the case foam + tape mod added some warmth to the stock sound, so its not necessary but i like customizing keyboards as much as i can lol so i would say its not bad, that only thing i really don’t like about it is the angle of the keyboard, theres no option to adjust it so im stuck with one angle and it’s not my preferred typing angle :( otherwise its great!
i almost cried myself to sleep buying those set especially bec they had another sale and i bought more 🥲🥲🥲 (stay tuned lol)

honestly i recommend the gmk67, it has everything you’ll want to try out as a beginner! gives you a little taste of everything. the only thing about it is that it’s a struggle to open but as long as you have a gentle hand and some tweezers i think you’ll be just fine!

What is the point of backlighting, especially rgb, if keycaps do not support end-to-end backlighting? By the way, this keyboard has a southern type of LED placement, which is very bad, since there are about zero keycaps that support this arrangement on sale.
it's all preference, i don't mind not having shine-through keycaps because i touch type. if you buy one, you can get a shine through keycaps if you like. Also, most keycaps support south facing LEDs (MDA, XDA, DSA etc), and the only profile that can really cause interference is cherry profile but even then most switches will take care of this problem.
Can I add foam to the bottom or will there be no space?
you can, i added 2mm eva foam in the board but it'll have less flex.

I’m thinking of getting this in the black case as my first keyboard, is this a good choice? I already bought akko switches and keycaps. I’m just looking for a case that I can kinda keep for a while
it depends what you’re looking for really! if you like the layout, the amount of foam it has, the features etc. the only thing i didnt like about it is that the angle was too flat for my liking. but that can be easily fixed with a stick on riser!
@@poongie I ended up buying it because I liked that the stabilizers seem really good out of the box. I was gonna get the mod 007 but decided it’d be too heavy for me. I’m excited to build my first keyboard
