- Cold-Start & pure exhaust SOUND of the recently facelifted (MOPF) 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupé 4Matic. This particular has the optional AMG Performance exhaust and is powered by a revised 3 liter V6 BiTurbo delivering 390 hp & 520 Nm of torque (total weight: 1675 kg) Wow, Mercedes has really kept the character of that aggresive V6 note although this car now has particle filter inbuilt. Not only horsepower is up but also torque is available at a larger rpm-band. On top of that the gear shifts are even smoother....so overall a perfect package & well done! The C63 S may be cool, but realistically, the C43 is all you really need.

I am soon to be in the same boat as you! driven my 2013 c350 coupe for 3 years and love it! Gonna pay it off and upgrade to the c43 coupe I just want to wait for prices to drop a bit more cuz I'm only looking to spend like 35k. Although I know that I will miss the w204 because it's just as sexy of a body at every angle. I will be a bit sad to give it up. I'm very curious if the c43 coupe will hold it's value over time and not end up being worth nothing in 10 years. I imagine reliability should be very very good since they have created these for a good chunk of time now, it has to be solid.
@@HoodrichShinobi loved my c350 just got bored after having had it for nearly 6 years. The c43 however, having owned mine for nearly a year now, I get the same feeling getting into it like I did the first time. I purchased a used c43 it was only 1 year old with 4000 miles on the clock, make sure you get one with (premium plus) such as powered seats, pan roof, burmester sound etc. As for depreciation goes, they will probably depreciate more when the W206s are released towards the end of the year, so maybe hold out on getting one till then.

The V6 sound winners for 2018-2019 are definitely the c-43 (better lower) and giulia quadrofoglio (a bit better higher but that's probably because it's a ferrari california minus two cylinders) absolutely love how these sound stock already
that being said... id prefer modding the c63 exhaust and grill on to the c43, give it a tune towards 550hp, the 71-29 AWD ratio and wider rear wheels should be able to handle that without too much or any remapping , does anyone know if the arches on the c63 coupe are actually wider than on the c43 coupe? Haven't seen them in irl yet.
nevermind the hood is different on all models, the wheel arches i think are only wider with the c63 coupe

That's amazing sound , V6 is better then the V8 AMG Bi turbo, and see with 1675kg weight this can beat 0 - 100kph just 4,5s that's amazing with a heavy weight and just 385bhp, i hope in Indonesia this car had a lower tax for price

I would... C63 is awesome when you can use it, which is very rare. It's like a wild beast in a china shop. I think you can enjoy the C43 more time on your daily drives.

Trotz Otto Partikelfilter finde ich den Klang sehr gelungen.
Es wird sicherlich ein Problem für alle Hersteller da einen sehr guten Klang mit entsprechender Lautstärke hinzubekommen. Zumal die Kunden in den letzten Jahren was den Sound angeht auch ziemlich verwöhnt wurden und die Ansprüche da sehr hoch sind. Guter Klang muss aber nicht immer laut sein✌🏼
Letztendlich haben es einige Hersteller evtl. etwas mit dem geknalle usw. übertrieben und jetzt greift der Staat halt durch.
Absolut. Dieser ist vielleicht minimal leiser als vor dem Facelift, aber der Sound klingt melodischer als vorher👍
genau richtig ich wollte mir als nächstes einben c43 holen aber wenn ich mir den so anhöre lass ich das lieber und behalt mein 5 zylinder der röhrt nämlich schön
Naja der Kunde ist DSG-Gefurze und nutzloses, komplett von jeglichem Sinn befreite "Fehlzündungen" gewohnt.
Richtiger Sound am End-Rohr ist seit Jahren im seltesten Fall zu hören. Bei den "kleinen" AMGs wird man wieder sehr gut hören das die Magie in nem Kammerschalldämpfer statt findet, klingt ähnlich wie en alter Reihen-Sechser mit leergeräumten Endtopf.
Das im Video klingt sehr "furzig", jedenfalls die ersten Gasschübe im Stand klingen genauso bekloppt wie en 1.6er Turbo mit nur Rohr ab Turbo.
Guter Sound kann im Prinzip garnicht laut sein, weil dieses dämliche "Trompeten"-Geräusch nur mit Absorbern halbwegs in den Griff zu bekommen ist, die nehmen aber am Ende soviel von den Höhen weg das einem das KFZ zu leise vorkommt, darum die Kammern... machen alles leiser aber ändern nichts am hellen Ton und wirken damit lauter. Nichts anderes tut ne Klappe mit Rohr bis zum Ende... nur das das durchgängige Rohr eben 100% an den Passanten weiter geben, die 100% klingen aber so gut wie immer dämlich... wenn man sich vor Augen hält das sogar in den FIA-Rennsportarten Schalldämpfer genutzt werden ist das sowieso höchst lächerlich.
Da hat Audi dann wohl mit den RS4/5 eher Mist gebaut... :P muss man auch als Audi „Fan“ sagen. Mal sehen ob die was daran machen

Der neue klingt mit Performance Aga so wie der „alte“ mit der serienmäßigen Sport-Aga. Sehr schade, dass der schöne Klang der AMG‘s durch die Partikelfilter dezenter wird. Trotzdem ein sehr schöner Wagen.

Hab nen C43 aber ohne Facelift. Echt schade das er jetzt ein bisschen leiser geworden ist aber immer noch der Hammer und dieses interior Haut mich immer noch um. Hätte nichts dagegen auszuwechseln.

Yes, they are different, the C43 uses a 3.0 Twin-Turbocharged V6(M276), produces 390hp/520nm, the E53 uses a 3.0 Turbocharged Mild Hybrid Inline 6(M256), produces 429hp/520nm(770nm combined with the electric motor), it is technically a hybrid, it also has two turbos, but one is a conventional exhaust gas turbine, the other one is an electric turbocharger, E53 also has the EQ Boost technology, another electric motor produces 250nm to reduce turbo lag

Cjkologe Richtig? Genau das habe ich doch beschrieben! Wenn ich richtigen Klang will, setze ich mich in den M3. Der C43 ist für den Alltag und macht ebenfalls Spaß, klingt aber bei weitem mich so gut wie mein V8 M3 (e92).
Dennoch klingt m.M.n mein Vormopf C43 mit PAGA besser als der Mopf!

Captain Awesome ja hat er bereits! Euro 6d temp wird schon eingehalten. Gerade deswegen und wegen dem ganzen anderen eu Kram find ich den Klang sehr ordentlich.
Ist halt alles die Frage, auf welchen Klang man steht bzw. lieber mag. Der E90 M3 (V8) ist z.B. nicht so meins. Ich persönlich finde, dass nichts über Audis 5 Zylinder geht. Also brauche ich einen RS3. :D
fährst du nur mit geschlossenen klappen oder hört sich der alte viel besser an denn der alte knallt ja richtig laut beim schalten aber der neue irendwie nicht

Dann leider doch wie erwartet, der MoPF scheint diesen einmalig aggressiven Klang des Vorgängers verloren zu haben. Schade, denn optisch finde ich ihn sehr gut, auch die Optik der Abgasanlage ist genial.

I had the one before the facelift and it sounded way better than the one on the vid. Had DMS remap so was 467bhp.
Dafür dass der Facelift 43er jetzt einen Ottopartikelfilter hat, ist das Klangbild nicht so sehr eingebrochen wie ich es erwartet habe...
Absolut....Unterschied hört man maximal im direkten Vergleich. Von „Einbruch“ kann bei dem geröhre keine Rede sein😅👍

Warum sollte da was am Klang "einbrechen". Wenn der Filter ähnliche wie en Kat schon genug Lautstärke wegnimmt kann im Gegenzug an der größe von den Schalldämpfern gespart werden, jedenfalls im Rahmen der erlaubten maximalen Lautstärke und die wird ne AMG-Sportabgasanlage schon gut ausnutzen.
Weil der Ottopartikelfilter nicht Kaskadenmäßig wie ein Kat aufgebaut ist,mit eingang und ausgang sondern nur einen Eingang und dann muss sich das abgas durch das material arbeiten statt nur vorbeizufliessen. Daher entsteht ein massiver staudruck und durch den verlust an abströmung hat man einen Verlust an Klang, ;)
Sicherlich wurde in dem Zuge der Anpassung auch die Abgasanlage bearbeitet, wie man hört :)

Auf jeden Fall, aber mir fehlt das brachiale vom Vorgänger ein wenig. Dafür ist der Arsch schon ziiiemlich perfekt und die AGA gefällt mir so richtig gut. Viele meinen es sei bei BMW abgeschaut, aber die Optik ist der Wahnsinn. Der Sound überzeugt mich trotzdem noch nicht. Ihr dürft mich gerne mal zu einer Probefahrt einsammeln und mich vom Gegenteil überzeugen. :D

Kumpel von mir hat den Facelift C43 als Cabrio. Entweder hat der im Video KEINE PAGA oder die Kamera nimmt den Sound nicht gut auf. Auf jeden Fall knallt er mit PAGA genau so laut wie der alte!

Warum hat der A45 eigentlich einen 2L Vierpot und der C43 einen 3L Sechsender? Ich verstehe die Modellbezeichnungen wohl nie.
NonoOfPyro Früher war das anders. Früher hatte beispielsweise der C63 einen 6,3 Liter Motor. Mit den ganzen EU-Abgasregeln und so weiter, werden jetzt nur noch aufgeladene Motoren mit Turbos etc. verwendet, welche natürlich entsprechend Hubraum wegnehmen.
TheRealSchnuggi Das stimmt. Bei den 63ern gab's ja den 6.3er Sauger, den 5,5er Biturbo und den 4.0er Biturbo. Aber das ist ja mitterweile bei jedem Hersteller sehr verwirrden. Bestes Beispiel BMW.

Single large turbo versus two smaller turbos, makes sense since the exhaust gasses spin the turbines. For similar reasons why larger diameter pipes tend to sound deeper, more aggressive.
