I hacked IKEA Havsta tv stand into dining banquette seating. I’m sharing how to build BENCH seat with Ikea Havsta cabinet to achieve a built-in bench with storage units. Hope you enjoy this Ikea hack DIY video!

We have had this bench ruclips.net/user/postUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg for five years now and it is still holding up strong with minimal signs of wear! So much so that I decided to get another one to store other stuff. The first one is still beautiful, strong and is easy to clean. It’s been in our living room and we store toys and blankets in it and it really holds quite a bit of stuff. I purchased a similar one two years ago from Aldi and let me tell you that one fell apart in less than six months of use. Get this one if you’re looking. Seriously worth it. Five years already and I can’t believe it looks this good and has held up for the price! Awesome bench, the new one I just got is identical.

I really like this idea of using the built in bench as part of the seating for the table. It's a great idea for a small nook. My breakfast nook is almost identical to yours except I don't have a window. But I've been looking to do built-ins and I might do this option. I like how it's functional and practical as well as aesthetically pleasing. Very cool!

Hi. You've created such wonderful projects that inspire us 😊. Between this and the nordli bench you built, any differences you feel between the two in terms of sturdiness, feel..? Any personal preference?
I find them both sturdy since I sit on them all the time. Nordli has drawers, and Havsta has a more traditional look :)

I know! I was so bummed to see they updated the design. You can combine havsta cabinet with other bench seat option though. I just posted a new bench seat hack yesterday - with Ikea again.
