Of all the playoff meetings these two teams had, this was the EASIEST win yet for Houston
The easiest!!! I actually wanted to see them make it a better series
They made a few costly errors in games 3&4 so they kinda made it easy. But to your point, it felt like a piece of cake.

The crowd reactions on the final out and the Pena homer in game 4 really summed everything up. The Yankee's - Astro's "rivalry" is dead and the Yankees fans know it. It really was never even close.

As Yankee fan all I can say is that it’s not really a rivalry when one team keeps beating the other. A rivalry is back and forth like the Lakers and Celtics. Houston have just owned the 🗑️ ass cashman Yankees. I’ll always be a Yankee fan but it’s incredible how bad the front office has been in building a solid roster.

As a Yankee fan, after this postseason meeting between the two teams, I believe it is time for the Yankees organization and the fans to face the facts. For some reason since 2017, the Yankees cannot come in clutch when the time is right. They are somehow still stuck in the mentality of home run or bust, and it showed not only in this series, but also in previous years. In addition to previous years, the Yankees were not able to defeat some of their biggest rivals in some of their recent postseason meetings. (Rays 2020 ALDS, Red Sox 2018 ALDS, Red Sox 2021 Wild Card) It is going to be a very interesting and long offseason for this team.
Congrats Houston for making it back to the world series! Win this one for Dusty Baker if you can! Guy is a class act!

Out of the ALCS match ups so far between these two, this one was obviously the worst. The Yankees offense was abysmal and they had almost no answer for Houston. Judge deserves better, even though he was the final out…

Set low goals, get low results. Baseball is a team sport. All season long the Yankees weren't focused on filling the talent gaps in their roster, they weren't focused on tightening up their play and eliminating bad habits, they weren't focused on how to get past Houston in the post season, they weren't focused on making or winning the world series. They were focused on pointless individual achievements like Judge taking possession of the 7th place spot for most HR in a season. They started out great, but as soon as the focus was switched from the team to Judge they cratered.
Judge wants to leave NY. Said he's sick of NY fans booing him. Some players and coaches have been threatened.

“I think it’s a bigger media story than player story, honestly,” Chris Bassitt told Danielle Learner of the Houston Chronicle at the ’21 All-Star Game. “It wasn’t just the Astros. So it is what it is. Obviously, I have teammates who played with them. I know how good of people those guys are. They were stuck in a bad situation. So yeah, I think it’s a massive media thing, but from a player standpoint, I think a lot of people are kinda over it.”
Bassitt stated that the Astros were not the only team “doing stuff” to advance their play in that last couple years. The hurler explained how illegal sign-stealing has been an issue league wide as well.
Oakland A’s pitcher Chris Bassitt called the Astros the “guinea pig” to clean up sign-stealing in MLB.
Bassitt mentioned that the reason not a lot of players and teams were speaking out at the time was because they were conducting similar methods of cheating. The right-hander also said that MLB knew about sign-stealing in baseball and elected to keep quiet about it.

Looking back at this, the Mariners or the Guardians should have been here to face the Astros instead of the Yankees. Those teams at least went down fighting and made it a series.

This is what the Yankees get. And no I’m not talking about the “We want Houston” chants. I’m talking about a gross misuse of funds. Cashman and Hal wants to insist that the fans should be grateful for the amount of money they spend but meanwhile they spend 10s of millions of dollars every year on dead weight or to commit financially to the same formula that they’ve been trying since they let guys like Johnny Damon, Hideki Matsui and Melky Cabrera go.
