That was a really great video, informative but entertaining. It is a real shame that people in positions of authority (like Teachers) don’t think about how their words carry the power to build someone up or destroy someone’s self-confidence in a single sentence. I’m glad you chose to be one of those people that didn’t let those words dictate your mindset for your entire life. Sadly too many people are damaged like that and never get past it.
Thank you, I agree I think it is important for people to be aware of how their words have power. I also think though that many people are really unaware of what they are saying and its impact, part of this because pressures of life stop us from being aware. As a parent I can honestly say that I am far from perfect, I have said things and afterwards reflected and thought 'that probably wasn't the best way to deal with that'. I reflect daily which I feel brings awareness around how I am using my words and communication.
