Just thought I would play and record one of my favourite Études, Op 25 / 6 also known as double thirds etude. This was a spontaneous recording idea so the quality and the playing is not as great as it could have been under more professional recording conditions.
BTW: I have made a tutorial on this Etude, check it out here:

Hi everyone, hope you enjoy this rather spontaneous recording I did today of one of my favourite Etudes, Op. 25 / 6. As I said quality could have been better but it was a spontaneous recording during my practice session.
Favorite etudes 💀
awesome playing
This etude is so difficult and so unique compared to all the others, it's so amazing ! Also, gosh darn how do you play it so quickly yet gracefully??
Wow that’s incredible
mad impressive!
Aw, this are so hard to play beautifully! You did so great 🤩
Your technique is awesome 👏🏻

Do you will ever attend a concert? If yes, where? And did you ever consider to play at a competition like the Busoni competition or Liszt competition?
This is truly amazing! Do you have any advice on how to train double thirds? I struggle a lot on this...
Thanks, if you are interested I made a video ruclips.net/video/vSdQ4Z6uU38/видео.html
this is great, to be fair i think that these types of phone recordings have some charm in them.
People often compare their phone recordings to professional studio recordings of established pianists, which usually have some editing and overall the quality is higher. The phone/live recordings show that nothing is always perfect.
also wanted to ask what fingerings you use for the minor thirds going up? thank you for the video!
The age of MIDI edited recordings sure brings a lot of unrealistic expectations. People play mistakes all the time in live recordings, it's sad that they're getting pointed out in the first place however.
Hello PianoTechSupport,
Great recording. I love your videos.
I want to start learning Chopin études, and I would like to ask you which ones should I start from.
My biggest strengths are octaves and leaps, and my biggest weakness is playing fast. For example, scales, finger dexterity in general. I would really like if you recommend for me which ones to start from.
Thank you
thanks for the compliments ! normally id say 25 1, 10 9, but if you want to improve your dexterity I think 25 2 is a good choice. u can keep grinding till you can play it stupidly fast, its good for dexterity and not so difficult :P otherwise, harder choice : 10 8, a lot of scales.
Personnally I started with op 10 n1. Hard to play every arpeggios on tempo, but most of them are ok. If you practice every arpeggio you will get a nice result. And you will have a strong right hand. And the technique is unique, not like op 10 n4 where you got multiple techniques in one etude.
@@PianoTechSupport Thanks a lot!
@@ChrisJohnson-yz4so I have tried Op. 10 No. 1, but I have small hands :(
@@BM28123 Which interval can you reach with RH ?
Please make "how to practice this etude" video!!!

how long does it take for you to learn a piece of this level?
Usually a couple of months of preparation, in this case, I knew the etude already, but to prepare it to a good level took me about 2-3 months.
I think maybe you left hand should be harder because it’s the main rhythm
Come do a masterclass for me
Get your piano well-tuned !
Superb playing vs badly out-of-tune piano. What a shame 🫠
I very rarely say this, but that was a dumb comment.

Listen carefully to that B at the very end of the first ascending running thirds (0:09 - 0:10), its second appearance (0:37 - 0:38), its final appearance (1:06 - 1:07), and all other instances where this B occurs. Very noticeably flattened.
Each and every time that B key is pressed it sounds awkward. All it takes is one single key that is out of tune to make the entire (otherwise great-sounding) piano out of tune.
I am a pianist myself, albeit amateurish, and I've been playing this piece for 17+ years on-and-off. I might be dumb, but most definitely I am not deaf.
And I hope you're not showing humility by calling my compliments on your playing 'dumb' . . .
to be honest it sounds better lol it’s sounds cool
