At least you can show the customer the video to justify the time it took to find a broken wire, Some people think you have a magic wand... Big Thumbs Up.
Mike James You are so right! A lot of the time is not the repair that justify the price charged, but the time it take to diagnose and find it... Thank you for watching!
Great work on finding the severed wires. I remember your grief with that golf (although that was just the one signal return wire if my memory serves me correctly). Obviously a common issue with the wiring on these VWs. Proves confirming the wiring is good is worth the effort before swapping out parts. Nice work as usual, enjoyed watching that and the airbag video! Thanks :)
I’ve seen this fault before, the trucking wears thur the wire insulation. You’ll get a multitude of faults depending on which wire/wires are damaged. Good find, keep the great videos coming.👍
Great video and a good find on the broken wires. sometimes that bios voltage coming from the ecu can be a hindrance but also a great help if you know its there. Thanks Mark
Just watched this after the Golf issue. Wiring faults on the same place certainly points to a common issue. Currently taking out my air box on my Golf Plus to check the same location for similar issue. Will let you know if the same issue occurs in the same location! Wish me luck.
Just as an update - same location! Stripped the protective conduit and found a 'nick' in the common black and white 5v wire (position 1 in the connector). No continuity on the cable! Cut and repair and everything is now back working as expected! Ffs a small wire like that could cause such a goose chase! Brilliant LM Autos, your video helped me massively! 👍
thanks for a great video i have the same problem with my Opel Corsa B no signal from the camshaft, I check the voltage reding and I got 467 volts. i will check the wiring. Thank you my king
That was very well told thanks I have a Ford Fiesta 14 tdci 2010 year issue I have is rev counter is temprimentl some times it will go up to 2000rmp and only go up when excelerating when I turn engine of it is stuck at that I have done a live data scan it shows favs are normal and it sound normal at the minute the rev counter is at 800 rpm when engine ticking over but after driveling for a while it will rise and won’t drop any lower even when I turn engine of any help would be great thanks
Melissa Haughney Hi Watch the video I have made (link in the description)... it is all explained in there... Hope that helps! Thank you for watching...
Hi buddy I have the code 16725 which is implausible on the camshaft sensor Have changed the sensor Checked wires and even temporarily by passed them with new wires right at the ecu plug Refurbish the tandem pump But the code for 16725 won’t delete and even adjusted the timing to 0.5 on VCDS Any suggestions buddy driving me mad hard to start the van but once started is all good and if the camshaft sensor is diss connected is a little easier to start
I have a fabia 1.9 SDI, it starts perfect every time, however sounds like it's running on 3 and rough. Set off it's fine but once the temperature outside gets above 15 c it cuts out, starts straight away but will not go from rev range to hold on idle? Changed fuel temp sensor still same any ideas?
Hi there. Wondered of you thought my problem is camshaft sensor issue. Car starts no problem in the morning. If i stop after 20 min drive once its warmed up i have veey long crank, maybe 2 or 3 times to start again. As a test i delted the code for cam position sensor in the morning. Then start car i then check measuring block 51/2 and can see reading from sensor. Then when i get to work switch off the car and try and start, long crank. I then go to 51/2 once i get it satrted again afyer the long crank and check but there os no reading from the sensor. Torsion value is not reading either when i hot and checking the value but 0.5 when i can see the value on the torsion. Checked pins from connecter of sensor with ignition on and im getting 5v on 2 pins and zero on the ground pin. Do you think my sensor is breaking down when its hot ? Sorry about the long reply. My car is 2.0 audi b7 tdi brd code . Thanks for any help you may give.
@@LMAutoRepairs Thanks to your diagnosis I did the same so it's been a great help. Thanks!I just wanted a 2nd opinion. What is annoying is I only did the cambelt and tensioner a few months ago. Now I have to do it all again to get to the sensor. It's not as easy to change the sensor as like on the 1.9 as my car has 2 cams so have to take the belt off again 😭 Have a great weekend 👍 and thanks again.
if you make a video which scan tool it is much better to use it will be very grateful like which type of scanning we can do with a laptop vs complete Scan tools like launch or other scaneur

Hi..bro. I have 2014 caddy 1.6 petrol engine my code is P0335 crank sensor, i replaced crank sensor, but problem still have the same.. No voltage in crank sensor connector, 1 to 3 , 0.67v.. So pls help me what to do.. Is there any relays or fuses
hi dear sir hope you are fine thanks to helping me I am one of you follow I would like to know which scan tool will be much better to purchase software and interface module for laptop or complete scan tools like launch with tab 3

Good evening Sir I have a similar problem, with my Vw caddy Tdi 2012, it’s took me long time to start engine and engine speed problem and I need help from you sir 🙏
Gawrisan Chandrakumar Hi The thing is that the circuit was not yet completely open... as you can see later on the video...ence the low voltage reading...
so does that mean if you have a bad connection or almost broken wire, it can still deliver some voltage but register as an open circuit when checking for continuity ? thanks your channel is very cool!
Gawrisan Chandrakumar Kind off... you might be able to read some voltage across the circuit... but the resistance is too high to allow a voltage increase and/or support higher current/load...
Hi, por acaso nao tems os diagramas para o motor pd115 auy, tenho o mesmo problema e tive a medir os pins e deu-me leituras de 5v, 11.7v e ground. Pelo que tenho visto nem todos deverao ter 5v ,5v.
