The Canary Islands! These 7 little pieces of paradise is where Belén and I set out to cycle last fall, climbing all of them in a period of 7 weeks, commuting with the Naviera Armas ferry in between.

Is it possible to see all the island with an ebike in 5 days?

I’d say it might be! But I’ve not tested the charging infrastructure, hence I’m not sure if you could realistically do it in five days. I guess if you spend each night in a hotel where you can charge, then yes. If you rely on bars to charge, then it might take too much time out of your day.

Hi Tristan and Belén, we see you guys have been camping in Fuerteventura, yet we asked and were told that cabildo give no permits as camping on the island is strictly forbidden (would not seem so by the video :-) ). Any advice or comment is much appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah, we just wild camped carefully. If you do it wisely by pitching late and packing early, as well as not riding around in high season, leaving no trace, you should be fine.

I've not long come back from Fuertaventura and I'm with you... Litter is common. I didn't like this island very much at all. Tenerife is a lot nicer. Which island did you find the best for cycling? 😀

People do horrible things to animals everywhere. Pretty much behind every other wall... so keep an eye out and don't be afraid to speak up :) (people in the UK can already get 5 years jail for animal abuse)
