Every careful step to assemble, build the quitar looks like the very final finger movement to get the right tone of a melody. Magnificent Craftsmanship no doubt !!!

Dear Yamaha, what is the true difference between nato and mahogany back and sides? Myself, I own two Yamaha's; the ls16 and the ll16m. Play them all the time.

it does not matter what wood the Yamaha used, but they are very consistent in quality built and value for money.

It is eastern mahagony, easily available so less cost, nothing much different from Mahogany.(a link from yamaha website)

Nato is cheaper than mahogany and does not have the same sound quality .

I bought a cheap yamaha steel string a couple of years ago, because it sounded good for the price. shortly after a year the glue started to break and the laminated top bent at the bridge. looking for a nice classical, but lost my trust entirely. maybe they put more work in their €2000 and higher guitars but anything under comes straight out of a factory with under-payed workers.

humidity will do that to any guitar, make sure not to leave it lying around.
