I still held on to two of my 7" from the late 80's & early 90's. I have the cringer "time for a little something... released in 1988 and the other one is "zenflesh zenbones" released in 1991 both released on Vinyl Communications. I know that they toured extensively with Lookout record bands Neurosis when they were actually a punk band before they got sludgy. They also toured with Green Day and Thatcher on Acid. Lance Hahn & Maxam formed J Church after this band in 1991 the same year cringer broke up. I love that band. Especially the album QUETZALCOATL W/ the song "good judge of character " which is one of my all-time favorites. At one time the co-founder of 924 Gilman used to be the drummer in cringer. Kamala Parks. Cringer released the first 7 inch on Lookout records "Karin" take care I used to and still do love this band so I used to really keep up on them. 🤘✌️🔥
I remember the first time I heard this, skating a mini half pipe in my friends backyard, with the speaker wires running out his bedroom window, and after every few songs he'd run back inside to put another 7 inch on the turntable. To think that at 47 I'm the last punk still alive out of that crew.
You're not the last surviving punk rocker at 47. I'm 54. Don't give up. Our philosophy and lifestyle still lives on. Maybe we just got smarter and are just more subdued.
Damn, thank you for posting this 7 inch... this was one of my favorite hidden gems back in the days when you had to spend hours flipping through vinyl bins to find the good stuff. Grifters, Cringer, Rodan, etc etc
don't exactly understand what you quoted but you're the most recent. Cringer is awesome! Late 1980's early 1990's punk was awesome! Never anything like it!
Cringer is a great punk band. We need more like them today!
I miss these guys so much! Thank you Lance for always writing me back! You made me such a happy teenager!!! Even though I covered you in blue glitter…
I have been looking for Cringer for a long time. I had two of their 7 inches like 20 years ago. Thank you for making these available.
