A photographer I know says that whoever has the most toys when they die wins! Gear head in a nutshell. Yours is one of the most reflective and authentic voices in photography right now. Respect.

😂 Your photographer friend is hilarious!
I am a lightweight gear head however, the gear almost never inspires me to shoot. It's my ideas that keep me going!
Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave positive feedback! 👍🏾

As always, great insight into this industry. I never thought about the various subsets of gearheads pimping the latest tech on RUclips. I agree that experience tends to trump most other forms of knowledge.
I want the best tool for the job. Also, I like new toys and I don't like unnecessary limitations. So perhaps that falls under "likes the best new tech but buys stuff before getting enough experience to truly know what's best" gearhead? Not proud of it given that it's not really the most economical way to approach things.
    Thanks for the video 👍

I like the "unnecessary limitations" comment! Because it's true that things like that CAN be frustrating!
Perfect example is Sony (initially) not putting shutter angle on the FX30! They are doing it now with an update finally!
      Thanks for the continued support!
P.S. Your content reminds me of another follower here. His name used to be "RovingCyclops" it's not @POVwithRC check him out!

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia So true, who needs more frustration right. Good eye, his stuff is similar; I love low light footage like that, there's just something about the night that's kind of free from responsibilities and open to possibilities.
What's on my channel now is just GoPro footage done on the fly while doing stuff I was gonna already do. Though I did get a bit creative in post for my "Road Trip" video and enjoyed that, so I want to explore making more creative and/or cinematic content and have been testing things out (and learning from you, amongst others) to that end. With the intent to upload and remake the channel to reflect that new focus soon 😎
Thanks for engaging in comments too, it's nice to get a bit of feedback from creators like yourself 👍

Just confirming this showed up in my subscription feed, with channel notifications set to «personalized» - it did not show up in my «notifications» though, which I think only happens if I have notifications set to «all».

RUclips is just being weird and will hopefully get back on track.
      Thanks for supporting the channel!
Side note: I think your channel has GREAT potential to grow quickly during this time! Keep up the great work! 👍🏾

@@PurposedLensPhotoMedia Thanks, appreciate that :) Fun to look into these kind of things trying to understand the mysterious ways of youtube ;)
In a flow/on a roll right now, finally got the «blocker»-video out a couple of days ago, been blocking me for months for some reason (which is ironic), and two others in the pipeline being edited now, one on the softbox-grid as well as the dji mic 2 followup.
The last video has really low retention (which I was expecting, it not having a clear goal/focus/target group at all, not like the dji mic 2 video, but it has passed the 6 month old original DIY Softbox-video already in views and watch-time, above 250 views somewhere now and 10 hours of watch time.
Small numbers indeed for a small channel, but it all adds up in the end - probably gonna do a video about them numbers as well later, from the «Tiny Noob-Tuber»-perspective :)
Joined the HeatherCreate/Heather Ramirez youtube huddle up-thingy some weeks ago, she’s doing a cool «lets share our goals and wins live on stream every week» type thing, helped kicking my butt into overdrive :)

PP off mode can be good idea to avoid grainy footage right in low light in zve10 ? & may i know which lens you used for this video ?

    • @PurposedLensPhotoMedia
      @PurposedLensPhotoMedia  5 месяцев назад +4

      Not necessarily.
Picture profiles are just presets that contain a collection of parameters like contrast, color tone, gamma curve sharpening and more. (which you can go in and manually change as well.)
Each profile will benefit certain shooting conditions just like your preset white balance settings. I generally don't use PP because the majority of my shooting require me to set my own parameters.
In this video I set my white balance to 4800K Tint/Color Temp Shift Filter at (A-B: A3 G-M: M1 (Amber, Blue,- COLOR TEMP) (Green, Magenta TINT)
This refers to the fine-tune adjustments that allow you to dial in exactly what you want your picture to look like.) because of the look I was going for.
It's important to understand the "LOOK" you are after FIRST before making any settings on your camera. Picture Profiles don't necessarily GIVE you a look more than they HELP you achieve the look you are after.
The KEY to getting good images on the ZV-E10 is understanding the camera's dynamic range. (The difference between the brightest and darkest part of the scene that the camera can show AT ONCE!) One tool to use is a waveform monitor.
This helps you keep your image within the limits of your camera's capabilities! In addition the use of Zebras also help to retain highlights.
The ZV-E10 actually has nice rolloff (IF YOU STAY WITHIN YOUR DYNAMIC RANGE).
I used the Sigma 56mm 1.4 on this video.
      I hope this helps!
      Thanks for watching. 👍🏾
