Damn, 4 years later the top is 50 by itself
In the late 70's I was with the 2nd Ranger Bn we were issued jungle fatigues in camo they were the best uniform I ever wore later on the army decided everybody would be issued bdu's so tried email on it like switching from driving a Corvette to diving a truck
Sorry I am old and Facebook changed one word that I typed on my phone don't have a computer to fix it
No big deal. Were the jungle uniforms in tiger stripe or leaf pattern?
@@doitriteak leaf
@@doitriteak Is the pattern Vietnam era tiger stripe
It is truspecs vietnam tiger stripe pattern yes
I’m looking to buy some m81 pants and this company is what I’m eyeballing rn. The main goal is finding a decent quality pant in my size (which is a challenge given I’m 5’3 with a 27 waist)
I’m roughly the same size as you! I got the small regular pants, and they fit pretty well if you sinch the waist adjusters all the way down. I would definitely advise getting a small short if available. They have faded a little bit after a couple of washes. Avoid the dryer if possible.
I love Tiger stripes myself it does blend in well for where you are at looks good I still have my USMC cover from Camp Gonzales for a graduation gift given to us back in the early 90s. I agree on the cargo pockets are to low knee smack sucked back in the day.
Is this a Vietnam era tiger stripe?
Thank you😺
I don`t know the truspec pants but with the german military pants we used a triangular bandage/scarf (Dreiecktuch) in the cargo pockets so the leg would be protected. If adjusted right you can carry a gravity knife (which tends to make holes in the leg and pants, at least mine did) and a whole ifak in one without hurting yourself.
Tru Spec has good stuff. I personally love BDU. It's simple and does a good job and also there is no velcro around which is great.
I love my tru spec uniforms.
Tru-Spec or Atlanco BDU runs small. My Small Regular size on Tiger stripes and Multicam are just the size XS-S comparing to the real G.I. BDU and tiger stripes pattern fabric from Atlanco not only fades after wearing ,also turns from green portion in to yellowish green when exposed to strong sunlight (e.g. on boonie hat). I'm still using my ripstop cotton tigerstripes set from year 2001-2002 occasionally and another set is still spared in stock.
BTW, I altered the shirt chest pocket to be slant like the Vietnam War fatigue shirt style.
Most of my us military surplus is nylon cotton ripstop...
That sounds like ACU stuff
@@doitriteak nope it's woodland M81 BDUs
I never saw NYC ripstop. I've only seen NYC twill in the temperate climate BDU
One of my farvoite camo . Have a proper one my self
Good luck with tiger stripe products website. The guy that takes orders never communicates. 6 month delivery dates. No updates.
Looks good
There is better kneepads out there that have parts that wear on your thigh like knee pro and altaflex
Are you doing sign language for the deaf. Keep your hands still. And stop talking fast you wont stutter so much.
Tie this guys hands and he couldn't talk.kinda a dweeb.
