I checked RUclips at 2 AM. Me : " Wow There is an Obsessed Garage video kinda inspirational I think" Me 1 hour later : "Gosh that was great. What an honest, professional and interesting guy"
As a car guy, i learned a lot from Larry, he brings out the crazy OCD in me, he shows his appreciation and care for cars, not only to make them look good, but also using a car for what it was built to do, he is truly a good car guy and i think one of the best unbiased professional, i would take his advice over anyone who is actually sponsored, not that i don't like sponsored reviewers and professionals, that how they feed their kids and i respect that, but when i need a true unbiased opinions i look for people like Larry, people who like what they do and luckily share their experience with us.
I send all of thank you's that are possible from far land of Latvia. I hope that there will be an opportunity someday to shake hands and say thank You in person. Both. Thank You for inspiration and feeling that I am a part of this conversation. I am really out of words to discribe how greatful I am for contet that You and Larry are producing. Thank You from bottom of my heart.
What a great story and a great guy!! I like his philosophy about You Tube. I honestly think your channel is a reflection of you and your personality. It would be a shame to change it now.
Amazing video and podcast! Larry is a great down to earth guy! Always willing to answer your questions. Matt keep doin what you do brother! I'm glad to be part of this obsession, and glad there are so many of us out there that can relate to the crazy!
Great interview! This is a great collaboration I've been waiting for. Matt, don't change your format. It's very 'hanging out in the garage with a friend' vibe and is uniquely yours. Bravo, brother!
this to me is like seeing the two greatest men finally meet. This is like Batman and superman meeting for me. I love Mat and Larry's ideas, mannerisms, lifestyle, and complete view on life. I really enjoyed this video/podcast. I enjoy the "long and boring" videos the most. I wish I had the chance to just sit at the table with these two guys and pick their brains.
Finally had the time to watch this 100% thru in one sitting, and boy was this a good watch. Recently coming off binge watching some GT3 and GT350 wash videos, this just puts everything together for me. First off, as others have said, DO NOT DARE change the format of your videos. They are super detailed (no pun intended) and informative. A person who has never heard of auto detailing can watch just one video of yours and understand fully why you do your process the way you do it. That is a rare trait to have on YT, and life in general. To be easy to understand, straight to the point, and knowledgeable, while remaining professional, so don't change that. As for Larry... I've seen a couple videos of his around YT and Facebook, but have never really been into the whole detailing thing. Hell, I found the Obsessed Garage channel thru Adam LZ, but I thoroughly enjoy watching OG videos because I learn so much thru them. So, anyways, I have seen Larry around YT before, and had the impression that he knew his stuff, but this just solidified it. I can tell by his body language, just by how animated he is, he knows is craft, and he loves what he does. This gave a great insight into the way he built his career, brand and reputation. 10/10 would watch again.
I heard your podcast on this interview. He sounds like a great guy. His story is awesome. I'm glad you were able to interview with him and share it to us all. 👍🏼
Over the years of watching, Larry, and the past year and a half of consistently watching all of your videos on OG, (the full videos from start to finish) , I am getting to know both of you guys more and more each video I watch, and watching this video was awesome. To finally hear a semi-short version of Larry's story, was great, I really enjoy listening to what both of you have to say, learning about your lives, and life experiences, and these videos help me do sort of my owner research on whether it be detailing or not, for someone like myself who doesnt enjoy reading. Well to wrap up this sort of unorganized comment, I really enjoy these types of videos, i am not a podcast type of person- i like seeing and listening, and thank you Matt for bringing more insight to Larry's life along with your's. Keep up the crazy.
Totally hooked .....my life stopped. Kids thrown in front of the telly and phone off. Audio was a bit an naff but content was absolutely stunning. Love from the UK Donut
Larry is my favourite RUclipsr and Deatailer in the world. He is full of honesty, integrity, skills, kindness and knowledge. With those assets, one can`t go wrong. I love that he is sticking to his values, that are admirable to say one have, but it is a different thing to actually live by them aswell. If I have to give som constructive critisism, I have watched all his videos at lest 2 times, and some of them more than ten times, I would say with lots of love, please upload longer videos and try to include more before and after shots and videos. That would be the iceing on top of the cake, that last "carnauba wax on top" :D I hope that this comment reaches Larry, Obsessed garage, please forward this message to Larry. Best regards Ozzy from Norway
I have been following the both of you for years . I use ammo products and love them ,I'm so glad Matt that you have enjoyed them as well.To have you both on the same video is so awesome.Great stuff keep up the great videos.
Very refreshing content. Great respect for both of you Gentlemen. I'm only 23 right now but I aspire to take a journey like you guys to get where i want to be in the future. Seriously, just listening to this 1 hour long video motivated me a lot to get back on track on what I REALLY want to do in life... I'll get back to work now lol
Love Larry Kosilla, amazing guy and amazing detailer, his products are amazing too, I like how we really stands behind them, a little pricey but worth it, I use his products on my cars and client cars! Great video Matt!
Obsessed Garage It shows in all of your videos Matt, I love your work and your story just as much! Keep doing what you love and don't change your content because random people on the internet tell you too, we know it's not about fame and money for you, and that's why your content is so original and the true supporters will always be there with you! Keep up the amazing work man.
day1 fan of Larry's... this was awesome .... I don't use his products in my business but after this I'm going to try them for my personal vehicles. the honesty was refreshing
Thank you Matt and Larry, also to the "host" sorry i didnt catch his name but glad i watched the complete video and keep up the good work and long & amazing videos coming
This was a phenomenal chat! I always knew that Larry was a gentlemen and scholar but this just gave me so much more respect for the guy. Matt, Bryan, keep up the great videos. Between this one and Jimbos story you guys are on a roll. I think you guys might want to consider interviewing Darren next.
Wish more of your videos where around 15 minutes long and more often . Most people don't have the time to watch such long videos . Just a tip . Love all the videos just with they were shorter and everyday . Keep up the awesome work .
Obsessed Garage I'm on a short break from work. 10 min. I'll plug into my car stereo for my drive home. that's 45 min. and I'll finish this after dinner. The time is there; just need to work with it
This was one of the best vids i saw on RUclips, great story, awsome way of thinking about success, work, life, great guy!!!!Keep going with the channel the way it is,you do awsome work Matt
So cool. When Larry was talking about detailing and driving I totally get that, no eye rolling here. I love seeing my car clean at times a filthy at times as weird as that sounds!
Great video, thanks Matt , really interesting about Larry , I'm a big fan of him. Due to the fact that when I was a kid I really enjoyed making a dirty car clean.
Gonna have to watch this when I have time...tried to watch on my phone but Larrys audio is pretty rough, gotta watch with better speakers but I will be sure to watch.
so you got the retention out of me on the video but I will give you why I watch...honesty, your point of veiw, family guy and the "if your going to do something do it the right way, don't cut corners and have some discipline" character you have...I also enjoy the cars and stuff but having the family in the video is cool too... I guess it's a package deal more than a one show ponie.... I'm super excited about your day job and wish I could have went that route...but being smarter with my money gives me hope and would love to listen about everything thing u have to offer on that subject...great videos keep it up -b
Obsessed Garage no thank you but I probably should have watched episode 11 I'm a relationship guy first... I keep kicking my self because it's everything I said in the comment above...sorry about that
This was amazing, thanks for bringing quality content to your viewers. I literally watched beginning to end. So do you like 105/205 after hearing that, or sticking with the Menzerna line up?
amazing video ! I'm 23 years old started my own detailing shop 16 months ago. its been really really hard but i got through it ! glad to hear the story of others ! :)
Matt I love the videos! I have a bit of feedback though. I love how he gives Kevin brown all the credit and rightfully so but Larry has inspired a whole new generation of detailers
Larry is a perfect example of "follow your dreams and the money will come"
That's and a crap load of time and work.
I checked RUclips at 2 AM.
Me : " Wow There is an Obsessed Garage video kinda inspirational I think"
Me 1 hour later : "Gosh that was great. What an honest, professional and interesting guy"
Don't change Matt! We love the long videos!!

This is a great collaboration I've been waiting for.
Matt, don't change your format. It's very 'hanging out in the garage with a friend' vibe and is uniquely yours. Bravo, brother!
I'm going to keep doing it man! Thanks for being a part of it!
Your two stories are therapeutic. Keep it coming. I love this stuff.
the truth showing is why i love youtube, the best channels are the people that are honest :D

Awesome story good people... already building friendships
That was a great video. I caught myself pausing what I was doing and just listening to the knowledge. 🙌🏻 Always love a good Larry story.
This was great.
Thanks Ryan!
hey great video and interview, cool channel keep them coming

Thanks bro!
Great interview
Larry is the man!
I see what you did there. Ha, ha... That's Larry's saying.
that was awesome!
This was amazing, thanks for bringing quality content to your viewers. I literally watched beginning to end. So do you like 105/205 after hearing that, or sticking with the Menzerna line up?
I still don't like it. I understand the rationale, but I think the products are inferior to other available.
The GOAT
loved this video!
The audio quality of Larry's mic must've drove Bryan crazy.
Andrew You feel my pain...
That was my bad.
Listening to the podcast was driving me a bit nuts, but I held through because of the content.
Engineer here!
thanks Matt.
Very nice interview... Would like to know why Larry doesn't want to have resellers oversees? Would certainly buy stuff from him.
We need another video between you too!
Agreed
Larry's awesome lol
Matt where is this stuff on your playlists? lol I stumbled across this one by the suggested vids.
Good idea. I'll make a Podcast specific playlist.
Got to go get some ammo products now!
They are legit!
i dig it.
Nice Man
amazing video ! I'm 23 years old started my own detailing shop 16 months ago. its been really really hard but i got through it ! glad to hear the story of others ! :)
Nice!
Videos awesome !!
Damn I wanna be like Larry
Matt I love the videos! I have a bit of feedback though. I really love watching your videos but i just wish they were more 10-20 mins instead of 20+mins because i don't have so much time to watch youtube. I know this video is a special occasion and that's okay i just commented on it as it was the most recently uploaded. i know other people will say different this is just my opinion though!
This always fascinates me. The topic of "I don't have time." Maybe I just project my own level of focus and obsession on everyone else. Where does this time issue come from? All I hear is when someone tells me this is; "I'm not really interested in the topic, so I'm not going to make time for it. I just want the cliff notes." And that is okay.
Just like all of us there are certain days where it just isn't plausible to watch some form of entertainment for an hour or two, but 9/10 days I find myself creating stuff to do. Is it the illusion that there isn't enough time or is simply that people are doing stuff they don't want to do all day that drains them to the point of exhaustion?
When it comes to producing videos that involve some sort of process, I've chosen to show the entire process. Showing that has forced me to fill the time with part about me. That was accidental, but I've decided to make a different style of video. So now the question I have is, "Why not just click the mouse and skip around?" Although it's certainly gratifying to see big number of views and subscribers, my goal has nothing to do with that validation. I would much rather have a niche in a world of copies.
If you ask me a question about standard deviation and how that applies to the calculation of total risk in portfolio construction, does one really want the watered down version? If someone does, did they really care what the answer was? I don't know, I just don't live life this way.
Focus, organization, and pursuit of technical knowledge doesn't come in 10 minute clips for me. I wouldn't even know how to create something like that. I'm not the right guy for that, so why "try" and fake it.
Obsessed Garage and that's why you make great videos! It just sucks when I'm working 70-80 hour weeks plus general life I am unable to watch your great content in its fullness
Jimbo Ballam brought me here.
Sweet! Glad to have you!
When is the lz project going to start
Sunday
Obsessed Garage ok sweet thanks
Why is larrys face always one inch from the car every video
Matt what made you stop wearing suits? Did it come to a point where you felt like you no longer needed it anymore?
I realized that I have an interest in working with cares about it.
If i hear a video is sponsored by any brand, i’m out right away.
Pisses me off people sits speaking of a product with dollar signs in their eyes
Matt, I hope you are not thinking of quieting your job :)
If Larry doesn't have a script his story is so convoluted and he is so difficult to follow....
Why does he seem so nervous, I'm nervous listening to him...
Hmmmm
Isn't he wasting so much time trying to manipulate a compound like m105 and m205 to get the results he wants vs just picking a better compound..lol
He has to have an arrangement with meguiars because no professional detailer is using m105 or m205 anymore because from a business point of view so many other compounds outperform meguiars and with less manipulation and with better results.
It's just that simple!
Any recommendations?
