- In this episode we take a good look at the latest offering from Theory 11, the Provision Brand Playing Cards and determine whether or not it stacks up to previous Theory 11 decks. Plus we announce winners for the Headlong Into Eternity Deck, The Cohort decks, and the NOC 3000x1 deck.
Released in July 2019, the Provision Playing Cards come packaged in an attractive foil embossed tuck case--as we’ve come to expect from Theory 11. The tuck box is printed on premium olive green matte cardstock and features gold foil accents and orange, beige and black inks. The entire design is nicely embossed. The front reads provision brand playing cards and advertise the deck as being quality manufactured in the USA. The front features two golden snakes coiled around a sword and a staff respectively. There are four small gold circles in each corner. The lower ones feature the T11 monogram and the top two read Circa Trova, the company’s oft-used latin motto, Cerca Trova. There’s gold foil framing around almost all the sides of the tuck. The sides announce the deck designer, True Hand, on a banner with the staff behind it and reiterate Theory 11 as producer on another orange banner sheathing the blade of a sword. The bottom features the traditional ad copy and the top reiterates the deck name. The tuck flap is held in place by a perforated rectangular off-white seal.

For courts i prefer twists on the design, like messing with the colors or something, either that or the type of art work that is so amazing you can just look at the cards for a long time.
I prefer mostly custom courts. Too far off becomes hard to recognize. Superfly Playing cards and mono x do a good job representing what I like.
U are absolutely right about Theory11. Their boxes out do the cards EVERY TIME, but T11 are my favorite by far when it comes to all around playing cards.
Definitely custom courts: it makes so much more interesting when you buy and open the deck!!
I liked the review a lot more than the deck this time. The colour and style choices didn't grab me until I saw the Jokers under a guillotine. Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion to consider social commentary.
I am actually disappointed not to have won the Cohort Deck. Damn that is a beautiful deck. On the other hand, it is nice to see a review of a deck I can actually afford to orser immediately. It is charming. And I really like the snakes and the seal.
I prefer custom courts and pip design. My favourite decks are all custom. But it is usually the standards I pull out for Poker or crib.
Both are excellent, but personally 🙋feel more attracted towards customised decks. 😃😃
I prefer customised standard playing cards as they are not too fancy and easy to recognise. Those are great for magic purposes. Thanks for the great review, once again.
I absolutely love custom courts for many reasons. When you perform magic for others, the effect is really all about the shock and awe, the final twist at the end nobody was prepared for. I think the image of a standard deck of cards is natural for many people, and so to see highly customized cards throws your audience off balance in a way that prepares them for even greater surprises later. Magic is all about the number of times in a short period where you can turn your spectators' world upside down; it's what makes magic "magical". Having a beautiful deck of cards that defies the standard is the most solid way to instill a first impression that will lead to that "magic". That's why I think customization is very important when it comes to performance; it gives your work its own feeling and character!
Great vid, GentlemanWake, you do an awesome job and are very thorough, keep it up and I'll keep coming back😄
Custom courts for me. Really love to see the designs people come up with.
just found your channel today and I'm so happy I found a deck reviewer your videos are amazing
thanks for the content
I love love love this deck! So cool. I love the custom courts.
I like customer courts, it's always cool to have a change as long as its done right.
Great deck. I love custom decks because they dont only look good but I see them as stories the illustrator shows society.
I have this deck and it's a pleasure to just appreciate and gaze at.Love the feel and performance as well. The Royalty Cards are out of this world ❗This deck is also more than capable for Flourishing and just overall Cardistry👍Really loved this review and you're precise and detailed commentary on this worthy and well excited and original effort from Theory 11..Really appreciate this indepth review of the Provision Playing Cards. This deck is a must have for any Playing card collection❗By the way,,,, can you please do and indepth review on the M&S /MxS Casino Deck that was just recently released..Thanks from one of your permanent Subs on the channel here..Looking forward to that one 👍
I really like custom courts. So I don't get bored of standard ones.
Custom Courts are very preferable.
Give the cards themselves and its creator the individuality they deserve. Keep em coming bro!
hello. I really appreciate your review. I have built up a pretty big card collection but surprisingly, aside the Monarchs I haven't sought out any other Theory 11 decks … but the "Provision" deck I liked immediately ~ specifically that the tuck case was more muted than almost all prior Theory 11 decks. If I was to use an analogy, I prefer collecting older baseball cards from long before they had holograms and foil. The old cards that were packaged with cigarettes from lifetimes ago are plain by comparison, but to me way more iconic looking. * and I only wish I could afford those extremely rare cards that are sold for millions at auction.
Long time no see. Another great review. This in my opinion is the best deck T11 released in the last 2 yrs. For magic I want standard cards. For collection definitely custom faces
For the court cards I prefer standard, but with customizations such as a different color scheme.
Love custom courts providing there's a reason for them. Meaning that they serve a purpose and it goes along with the theme of the rest of the deck. I don't want custom just for the sake of custom and a higher price tag.
Thanks so much for the review. This deck whisky looks really nice. Great video as always. Miss these reviews!
Custom courts BUT, not TOO custom. I hate it when they're unmarked and it takes too long to recognize the card. Thanks again for the great reviews!
I like custom courts, the Virtuoso ones in particular look amazing imo.
I love the standard bicycle courts but do like to see custom courts too as they are a welcome change
Custom courts.. it's always interesting to see new art
Custom, all the way.
The National and the Contraband decks are probably my favorite two TXI deck court cards.
Great review, Sir Gentleman!
I love custom courts. I value the creativity and designs that these decks come out with, especially Jokers. I've started collected Jokers after I found my old box of card magic.
Glad to see the classic deck spotlights back, as a non-American, these have become the way I keep up with all of the new deck offerings by Theory11.
Anyways, as much as the classic courts hold nostalgic sentiment to me, I've got to say that custom court cards are the way to go. Always gives the deck more personality.
I can't say how good it is to watch you review deck.
And I prefer standard courts....
I prefer custom courts. It’s just something that adds a really good touch to it. And if you’re showing them off to someone else, they can easily tell some of the amazing things about the deck.
Good to see another TGW production, Omar. Fantastic choice for this review. I have the Provisions deck on my wishlist because Theory 11 did custom courts, which is a must for the decks I collect. The color combo is superb and I will own these one day soon, either by purchasing or by luck (your giveaway) :)
I prefer custom courts as long as they aren’t to far out. Also I wish more decks would include a duplicate card, but that’s just my opinion. Anyways, great review!
I am just starting of with my card collection, and hoestly I appreciate the standard, simple and recognisable designs. On the other hand my favourite deck of cards have custom courts, so of course I love it when the are done properly.
Hey Omar, another awesome video. Great work.
I prefer custom cards, when the designer has taken the time and effort to design something different and possibly something we’ve never seen before, that appeals to me.
Glad you're finally back! Glad coin issue is fanally worked out
Judged with money spent as a consideration, this is my favorite deck. Normally don’t care for theory11 cards, but these really hit the sweet spot in my book.
Another fantastic video video from TGW!
For myself, i am more of a player so standard face with very detailed cardbacks are definitely attractive! but customs decks also brings a wow factor to the table and can be used to impressive fellow players on a game night!
At the end of the day, what's the most important is the design thoughts, design process that is put into the decks that intrigues me because i like stories its the gateway into the designer's mind!
It's been too long, happy to see your back 👍🏻👍🏻great review already bought 5 decks because I liked it so much. Definitely not the usual theory 11 deck. I find it ironic that the svngali deck is also using a snake. Cant wait for the next review 👍🏻
I love custom courts, just wouldn't mind a slight recolour (only) here and there to mix things up.
Great review, thanks for all your insights into Theory11's productions! I have quite a few of their decks and I agree that they do a great job on the tuck cases. I feel like some of the Asian designers are making some big strides as well so it's getting pretty interesting.
Less is more, a classic phrase.
Often lost in these later days.
Embraced by a keenful eye, leads to a brilliant treasure!
Exposed the heel is to the snakes wrath. And if it bites you'll fall down fast! A simple dawning up to the knee, and standing strong you will be.
Such an easy solution that makes you stronger. Withstanding the snake and you live longer!
I have to say, I think Theory 11 finally did it! This is a card that is very well balanced! Simple enough to look good in cardistry, nice classic look for magic or the card table! Proof that sometimes simple is best! I think this is my favorite Theory 11 deck yet!
Thanks for a great video! Perfect as always! Can't wait to get the TGW Parlour Playing Cards on my door step! Already got a shelf spot picked out! Lol!
80% standard and 20% custom. Custom I like for collecting, but standard bikes are just awesome!
Custom courts can really set the style for a deck together with the back design so I really like it. You need to find a decent balance though in how clear you keep it and which consistencies you keep. Decks from riffle shuffle are an amazing example. Like the surf deck and the skate deck they made. Those court cards are AMAZING and in an amazingly unique style. In the case of provision, They just have awesome back stories!
Another great deck review. I prefer custom courts, assuming that they are GOOD custom courts!
I was so happy to see the TGW notification this morning!
I prefer custom courts... usually. Otherwise, standard Bicycle courts are fine with interesting palette changes.
I prefer custom courts because I it shows that the designers put lots of time and good work into it (me knowing from experience) and it makes the deck look unique and different to any other deck made.
I wish they had the text on the aces and picture cards as well. But I do like the look of the custom cards
great video as always and i prefer custom court cards for cardistry because it looks really good when card flourishing
It's always good to see you present a deck..
And I prefer standard courts....
Your review videos are very well filmed and edited. Nice channel!
I prefer slightly altered court cards, but there are some totally custom court cards that I love. Winning this deck would be sick
I prefer standard for magic....but in my collection I think custom courts are way more interesting!!!
I really appreciate the work that goes into custom court cards, but for the purposes of card magic something too flashy can cause issues with spectators thinking something is up
Absolutely no doubt I love custom court cards. I love the unique tuck cases, but, we play cards with the cards and not the tuck case the courts are Clearly the most decadent of all the cards and I always look forward to see year their design and color variations. Great video as always
custom courts are better I think, but ultimately depends on how to use them probably. thank you as always for your awesome reviews
Another quality review! Love your channel Mr. Wake!
I like them to be customized court cards but still easy to recognize
Custom courts are great as long as the design isn't too busy or cluttered.
Custom courts give a uniqueness to the deck but can take away from playability. However, I do not believe this deck has any cons to it! Love it.
Awesome, in-depth review, as always.
I prefer custom courts, as long as they are recognisable and not totally abstract. I love SH17's courts die example. 😉
As collector, I prefer custom courts because there are many different theme and different meaning too. I also use standard courts to play games with family & friends.
Just found your channel and I thought your review was very honest and I subscribed. I'll check out your other stuff. Thank you
Awesome deck of cards love them very different 😍
As far as courts, it depends. If I'm performing magic, I want courts that spectators will recognize and won't distract from performance. If I'm just looking for a collectors item, or I'm doing some cardistry, then custom courts would be the way to go.
This is my favorite deck from Theory 11 after Monarchs but this one is so detailed customized. I agree that the Victorian was a disappointing experience inside. This exceeds my expectations inside the cards. The gold framing is perfect. Great review!!!!
I prefer Custom Pipts and Suits but still keeping it close to the original standards Pipts and Suits so it can also be used in Game Plays and Magic.
Where as the fully Custom Pipts and Suits will be a amazing add-on for Collectors.
I'm a fairly new follower but I would like to say that I kind of like standard courts that have been customized if that makes any sense. I like them being a omage to standard Court cards with a flair. That is one of the reasons I do like the provision deck by Theory 11.
I do like custom courts. Standards are my favorite so far.
TGW!!!! Missed you brother. 3 weeks is a long time to go without a Gentlemanly Video. Haha
Also, gotta love custom courts. Seeing an artist's creative side come out in interesting ways is beyond awesome.
Standard cords with a cool back design
Usually standard courts. But if costume courts are well made I like them.
I prefer custom courts as long as they can be used in magic. Thanks for sharing these great videos. Can’t wait for the parlours to arrive home
I prefer custom court cards, because after seeing the standard USPCCcpurts for so long I’m tired of them. Plus with custom xourts u can create a theme or represent important people’s life. My favourite custom courts are the court cards in the Standards deck by Dan and Dave, I just love how they represent the English rpyal family, Army and other historical figures, it just shows how much care and thought can be put into a deck.
I prefer custom courts since it makes the decks feel really special. Custom courts add that extra bit to the cards that make collecting the really worthwhile and exciting... keep up the good work and can’t wait for your next video!! :)
For me just a bit of recolouring is enough to make the cards more appealing but I always prefer custom courts. The only decks I don't mind standard courts on are rider backs and nocs because of the price.
I absolutely love custom court cards. my favourite type would be similar to the snackers and squeezers playing cards, with only a slight change in the court card
I'm pretty new to to collecting/magic/cardistry but I do like subtle changes like in colour.
I hope you are going to do more reviews. I've been re-watching a lot because they've not been so regular of late. Cheers
I think it depends on the deck and what the cards will be used for. Custom courts can be amazing but classic courts fit some decks just as well. Keep up the amazing content
I prefer to see a nice custom court deck to add to my collection. While traditional is nice for cards used to play poker or similar, a nice custom look is awesome for collecting.
Very entertaining review the gents wake i very love it with every your presentation carries on
I prefer standard, but with customizations that help make each unique.
Line the custom court cards because it makes the deck more unique
I prefer standard playing cards mostly for magic. But if I want to show off some cardistry then I would go for the fancy decks. Great video!
Subtle or full blown, custom courts are the cherry on top of any deck!
Custom courts all the way! I feel like when I saw the animal kingdom deck's court cards I was so surprised and it made the deck so special to me
I prefer standard recolored courts, as it allows creativity but is still recognizable, or even vintage style courts that give a custom feel
Stellar video as usual 👌 I enjoy when the vision/theme carries through with custom courts. My all time favorite courts are from the Union deck ( Jay Fletcher is one of my favorite designers ) That being said, some of my other favorite decks run pretty standard courts and I love them just the same.
If you love playing cards then watch this video
ruclips.net/video/gaUk4Mbh_FM/видео.html
Custom court cards are they way I like them, Seeing the amazing custom work is always an added bonus and makes you want to show them off to people more. Standard courst are still good though.
If I am buying a deck strictly for collecting or cardistry, I don't mind the custom courts. If I plan to perform magic with a deck with custom courts, I am happier if they include a couple of gaff cards like double-facer and double-backer. It expands what I can do with the deck.
I like courts that are custom, but still look fairly standard. The courts on these cards are close to being too custom for me. I think I will probably still pick some up for the back design, color, and the interesting faces (although I wish the courts and aces had the words in the top right as well. Thanks for a solid look at these cards! I was pretty excited when they came out but I have been waiting to grab some.
I like custom court cards because they stand out from other cards. But I use cards for magic so they have to be recognisable for spectators, some decks with custom court cards can be confusing if you're performing for people who aren't familiar with playing cards.
I def like custom courts, it's always cool to see variations to the standards even if it's only subtle. But if I had to choose I'd probably pick the standard courts.
There's nothing like checking out the attention to detail in some completely custom courts.
I like standards for magic but I also like custom courts for my collection.
I generally prefer standard courts just so nothing looks off to spectators but they aren't to far from normal looking like some I've seen but I personally prefer the green back on the double backer than the orange
Beautiful deck and GREAT REVIEW!! One question - Any reason the King of Hearts (collar) and Queen of Clubs (right side of dress) are missing color on one of their sides? Is that a misprint?
Custom cards always. Rarely do I use my Theory11 decks as game day cards anyways so might as well have some beautiful court cards.
in my opinion, i like standard court cards, slight variations on the standard is also fine with my :)
In my collection i have the Diamond Playing Cards No 5, and i dont like the courts, but i also have the Bitcoin Playing Cards and even though the courts are a tad different, i really like them.
I also recently saw the courts for SVNGALI and i really like those court cards.
I prefer custom courts or standard with customization because I love creative deck which stand out from the others
I prefer custom courts. It makes a deck of cards more unique and more interesting to look at.
I prefer custom courts, it makes the deck more interesting and appealing to me when I am buying
I prefer costom courts as it gives it a nice touch. Something to look at. If I want a plain deck the bycicles are good. But I prefer custom courts, though don’t mind standard to much
