If you are starting with zero on track experience and doing every event in one NASA regions' schedule, you could get to 4 mid way through your second season. You could speed it up by doing more HPDE or being a really talented and aware driver that the in-car and classroom instructors trust to move up faster.

Typical build is 15k-20k USD including the price of the donor car itself and safety gear.
