  • How to bezel set a Square Cabochon Gemstone with Corners- Bezel Setting a Square Cabochon Stone with Corners:. Bezel setting square cabochon gemstones can be tricky and gives lots of goldsmiths and silversmiths trouble. I'll show you how to conquer setting bezels with corners with ease. The most important thing to remember when setting bezels with corners is to start your bezel setting at the corners, not anywhere else! If extra bezel space migrates there, it is surprisingly difficult to remove later in the bezel setting process. These bezel setting techniques for gemstones with corners work exactly the same whether goldsmithing or silversmithing.

What was the thickness of the bezel used? Min keep splitting in the corners as I polish 😢

We use 26 gauge. It sounds like you are over polishing, if you are taking away enough to make a hole.

What size engravers block do you recommend for jewelers?

I like the 5-6 inch ones, like the one on my tools site. Any bigger is a real pain to move, the very small ones move too easily. 😃

What’s the white thing holding the stone ?

Do you mean the inner bezel holding the stone up? Or the jett sett the ring is filled with?
