Yo I just wanna thank u for all you do. I've just started producing beats a month ago and already learned mad techniques and shortcuts thanks to your videos. Much love . Peace and blessings🙏.
Thank you... I'm glad you got something out of the videos... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Love these tutorials, brotha. Thank you for sharing the knowledge once again... 🙌
My pleasure!!
Bro your literally the god of cakewalk tutorials, much respect for that cakewalks a great daw when you get used to things I hate when people dismiss it cause its free and not so up to date , it can do just about everything other daws can the only let down is the lack of a built in sampler, but we got Sitala and Grace for that kind of stuff anyway I've been enjoying your vids their literally turning Cakewalk into a cakewalk :)
Yea they need to get that sampler going it would help out alot... Thanks for the comment..😀🙏🏾
THANKS DUDE. SPREADING KNOWLEDGE FOR FREE
Yea.. I try..thank you..😄🙏
@@XELOhh1 be on da lookout for dj dondhi. We could always partner up make some legendary. I got hella music theory knowledge. Piano books lol. Was in band. Possible project in the future 💯
I use this all the time and I still learned something. Thanks man. I'm holding out for 1000!
Thats whats up.. Thanks..😄🙏
Nice video. Lots to learn if you're not only new to Cakewalk but also new to step sequencers. You make it look easy but I'm sure I'll see something new each time I look at the video.
Thats whats up... Thanks for watching... 😄🙏
very epic tutorial 👍
Thanks a lot for this tutorial it will be a big help for me 👍👍👍👍👍✔
Your welcome thanks for the suggestions..😄🙏
Thanks for getting back to me and link to the tutorial which i watched. (your teaching style is really good i was able to follow along and input in real time)
?beat display? I am trying edit the step sequencer display to change the grey/dark grey "pad beats" to match yours which shows white/grey contrast between the individual beats.
I appreciate your help on getting me started.
You can download my themes .... They will get your Cakewalk to look like mine.. landing.mailerlite.com/webforms/landing/s7l2h5
Hope this helps
Is there a way to set it up to play in other time signatures - 3/4, 6/8 etc? Thanks for the videos man!!
Many Thanks for sharing your knowledge on drum sequencing.....you have save many hours of head scratching! do you have a video that shows how i can change the grey tone beat display similar to yours? thanks in advance for any help. Have a great day.
No problem glad I could help... Not sure what you mean by grey tone beat display..🤔
Great tutorial bro. 💯
Hey... Thanks for watching...😄🙏
Thanks for sharing X Haven't used the Step Seq ever but looks a useful tool. I wonder if you can use it to just add a drum etc in the middle of a drum track as opposed to creating a full beat that runs the length of the song.
Yea you can do that just put your start and end points and add the drum sequencer tack and lay down what you need.. Thanks for the comment..😄🙏
Good work as always, man. Surprised you didn't mention that if you make a drum map for Sitela (or any drum map for whatever drum VST you're working with), then the Step Sequencer will use the actual name of the drum sample type (ie, kick, snare, hi-hats). This makes the step sequencer much easier to use and it makes it a bit easier for other DAW users (I'm lookin' at you FL users!) to enter beats.
Its funny I have never drum maps in Cakewalk... Might have to look into that... Lol... Thanks for the comment..😄🙏
I would love a tutorial on how I could record a guitar riff of my own in cakewalk, then make it into a sample that I can loop during the song!
Instead of having to play it by myself in a loop the whole time :D
yea... sorry have no idea how to play a guitar... lol... but you can try Creative Sauce channel or Home studio Simplified... 😀🙏🏾
yo question, I undocked the step sequence but accidently pressed the x button on the top right. Now I press Alt and 4, and it pops up but its so big, and it won't let me X out, i literally have to restart Cakewalk just to remove it. How do I fix it?
If it takes up the whole screen do a shift and D that will put it to half the screen... Hope this helps...😀🙏🏾
@@XELOhh1 ohhhhhh ok thx
hey xel when i use the stepsequencer it wont let me hear anything i checked sound and all but what is it
What vst are you using with the step sequencer?
@@XELOhh1 i tryed with sitala and with momentum and even just without any
Ok.. let's do Sitala what do you have in the Sitala plugin a kick or snare hihats... If so it should show the names of those sounds in the step sequencer and you should be able to hear the sounds ... Hope this helps
@@XELOhh1 ok ill try tomorrow its now 00 in germany hahah
😀
,800 this video was golden
Yea.. I hope it helps people understand the step sequencer to make some BANGERS... Lol.. Thanks for the comment..😄🙏
...but how do you saw what you created as audio? I can't figure out how to save my step sequencers beats to play back as audio.
You can freeze the track and drag to another line to make it an audio track or you can do a bounce to tracks to make the step sequencer to audio...
@@XELOhh1 thank you... I will try that tonight!
@@XELOhh1 YOU ARE THE GREATEST... IT WORKED!!! OH EM GEE... THANK YOU !!!!
the step sequencer doesnt sound accurate tho like the one in fl studio .is it to u ?
It sounds the same as FLs to me... What are you using as the drum sampler? I use sitala and it sounds correct to me .. In cakewalk you have to set your bars and beats unlike FL ... FL makes it easier to match things up that could be why it sounds off to you...
@@XELOhh1 SESSION DRUMMER 2 I LIKE HOW I CAN IMPORT MY OWN DRUM KIT TO IT AND REPLACE DRUMS IN REAL TIME WHEN I WANT
YEA MATCHIN THING UP KINDA TITE FOR NOW
My friend, on your ears is Samson SR850 ?
Yes sir .,. Good 👀...they are pretty good for the price they can get the job done... Do you have a pair?
@@XELOhh1 yes i have. and i want ask you, you have compared it to other expensive headphones? i very interested it. i compared only to AKG k240 (1nd gen) and they are 90% similar. (sorry for my English)
To me they are close but not quite as good as the DT 990 but they are good enough to mix pretty good for the price they are as good as if not better than my AKG k52 that I have as well... Hope this helps...😀🙏🏾
Thx
No Problem thanks for watching...😄🙏
this has grown but I think something might have been missing... some hashtags in the description? #800 #Cakewalk #ContentCreation #NewRUclipsr #RUclipsr RUclips might be smart enough.. but it's a good idea to target relevant trends. Now how you gonna do this on split screens?
Thanks for the insight... And it does work on split screen as well... Lol same setup..thanks for the comment..😀🙏🏾
💪🔥💪 800 💪🔥💪
Yes sir... Thanks..
how do u strum in this thing
You can use CAL scripts to strum notes in cakewalk... You can check out my piano roll secretes video it might help with the piano roll questions you may have...😄🙏
@@XELOhh1 ok thank u
Cakewalk and Reaper which one?
Cakewalk for looks and workflow... Reaper for stability ..... At leat for what ive done in that DAW... But right now Cakewalk is the champ and really free... No pop ups saying this is not a free DAW.... Lol..
@@XELOhh1 so Cakewalk, right?
Cakewalk of course... Lol...😄
Definitely Cakewalk.
I've found that the stability issue is the same with every DAW. I've been through every DAW and certain PC's I've had would make a DAW crash but on my secondary pc it would never crash.
Sometimes you just get a good "marriage" between your system's particular parts and components that compliment a certain DAW very well, but not the others, and vice versa.
Reaper is dope though, it's just that Cakewalk comes with all the bells and whistles, and it's with no promotional nonsense whatsoever.
Yea I feel ya..
Bro but this sampler seems useless to me if you wanna use it to play vocal samples because if you play a sample it can only from start to the end even if you just wanna play it short.....one shot till end of stuff is very bad and I have seen a few videos but they all never saw that.....Because they all never actually try to use it...They just talked and rambled on and on about it. Anyways I just like your spirit but didnt find what I came for....but I liked
I see.. Cakewalk does not come with a sampler and this step sequencer does not do like FL where every channel can be made to a sampler... So i know what you are talking about.. Sitala is a strait drum machine that cant chop samples... You will need a third party sampler to do what I think you are asking... I use Komplete Kontrol for one shots and Momentum or Serato Sample to chops.. I hope they do make a sampler in Cakewalk that will help them reach people who use samplers to make beats... Thanks for watching..😄🙏
There’s a free sampler that can chop: TX16Wx.
At the beginning of the video you have Sitala set up in midi for every instrument. Do you have a video on how to set that up?
@@mambofello Thanks for the comment... Yes TX16wx is a good sampler but very confusing for beginners I use it from time to time but it has this clicking sound on samples that I don't like... And yes I do have a sitala video showing how to use it and set it up... ruclips.net/video/vMZawiFrHKU/видео.html
Hope this helps.. let me know if you have questions..😀🙏🏾
I know it's free, but Cakewalk's workflow is very annoying (if you're used to FL)
That is true... Just like getting use to any other DAW its going to have a learning curve... I know people that wont upgrade fl 10 or 11 because they like that work flow better than FL20.. Same for Cakewalk and Sonar Platinum people dont want to change.. The good thing about cake walk is that you can change the look of it and make it feel like other DAWs not sure if you watch my FL vs Cakewalk video but I show the pros and cons of both DAWs from my prospective.. If you want 2 you can bring FL inside of Cakewalk.. I have a video on that as well.. But thanks for the comment..😄🙏
If you are not going to use the instruments contained within Cakewalk, then I do not see the point of this video.
The point of the video is to show people how to use the step sequencer that is what's it's for... I would like to know what instruments you speak of that Cakewalk has...🤔..
Cakewalk by Bandlab comes with 4 vsts and they are not the greatest... The SI instruments are barely ok... And the TTS1 is not good sounding at all... So please tell me what instruments within Cakewalk should I use... The vsts used in the video are free and are better than the default instruments and tools in Cakewalk... And the one of the biggest things missing is the sampler so ya have to use what you have... Let me know if you have questions... Thanks for the comment..😀🙏🏾
Why do you play music on the video when you are explaining how to create music? I find it distracting from your subject.
Wish you would go faster. Falling asleep. Maybe just too basic for me. And please turn off the background music. :) Very distracting.
Good 2 know...😀🙏🏾
