4:29 that's funny because the original song was the number 1 song on january 1987, it was released in 1986. It was the Hit single for the girls band The Bangles.
Like if you deep how crazy that it's nearly been out for 40 years and yet it's still so popular and so iconic and not to mention it still sounds amazing!! I think we need to single handedly thank meme culture for a part of it 😂
5:01 he's french, it's JEAN PIERRE POLNAREFF
A reference to Michel Polnareff a french artist
Oh wow I mean you couldn't really get anymore French than that 😂
frenchest of french fellas for real
Alot of the endings in Jojo are real licenced songs with a few exceptions, also the anime began in 2012 but you did get the manga date correct.
As a side note the manga is still going to this day, being on part 9 currently.
Mangaka's name is Hirohiko Araki
Thank you for the mangakas name it was on the tip of my tongue all video but I've heard stories about how long parts of jojo go on for. Apparently part 8 went of on AGES but then you know your always getting a banger story! Hope you enjoyed the video my friend :)
Not a single exceptions
All of them are real songs?
Edit: NVM
I forgot about the holhorse and Oingo Boingo brothers ending
0:34 Never in my life has it crossed my mind that this meme was from JoJo's but this makes perfect sense
Honestly the moment I heard it I had flashbacks to 2015 and honestly it was such a mental trip 😂 just for that I got right in the mood to vibe out to all of these!!
Something to note is that Jojo is usually referred to by its different parts. In order from first to last they are:
Phantom Blood.
Battle Tendency.
Stardust Crusaders.
Diamond is Unbreakable.
Golden Wind. (Also known as Vento Aureo).
Stone Ocean.
Steel Ball Run.
Jojolion.
Jojolands.
I mention this because Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency are both in season 1.
Also to answer your question from around 11:00 all of the endings except the two weird drug trip ones were songs that they specifically had the but the rights to use. Likely inspired by the fact that the creator of the series was heavily influenced by western media, especially music.
Oohhh right that makes more sense honestly I should of looked that up but thank you for letting me know :)
6:47 - 9:37 are two special endings only played one episode each to commemorate some silly characters. They represent those characters more so than the series itself
Ah right OK that makes a lot more sense because in comparison with the others I was mind blown 😂
2:50 how does he know!!!
Honestly It didn't help my tiktok is full of dark memes so maybe that had a part to play in it but also...the uniform just screamed German nasty person (I'm commiting to not saying it 😂)
I love how almost every reactor is bamboozled by the Oingo Boingo endings, yet they start dancing to it.
Another thing that you should do is hear the protagonists and villains theme, they are another thing in JoJo that makes this anime INCREDIBLE!
Honestly the more I hear about this show the better it gets each time!! Honestly I'm becoming so invested it's unreal!
Plz do that ost reaction@@bigsokward
@@bigsokwardAnd don't forget Jobro osts
Protagonist (jojo themes) are the best music in decades.
Yeah the meme "to be continued" comes from the ending of every episode of the first 2 parts, when the song "Roundabout" by Yes starts platying. Btw fun fact: all the music played are songs that Araki thought to represent more each part and he also listened some on them while he was drawing the manga. And also those 2 weird ones and the last one are made just for one episode each.
14:48 lol the painting dropped on the guitar drop of the song
The monkey just wanted to vibe and I was having none of it(seriously it does my head in half the time 😂)
Maybe I'm just getting old and should adjust my expectations, but I can't help but be a bit disappointed when people listen to what's literally a playlist of hits from 1971-1996 (and one outlier from 2008) and not recognize _any_ of them - seemingly not even realizing they're not actually "from" JBA.
It gives me a reality check of how old I am. LMAO
(I was born one year before JoJo's started)
Just thought I wanted to mention some random facts, since I'm digging your appreciation for the music so far!
Opening at 9:42, By Australian band, Savage Garden! One of their other popular songs that is definitely my favourite, is "The Moon and Back"
For this particular opening at 15:02 It mentions that it is written by Michael Cretu. Who if some might find the name familiar, was the husband of a German female singer since the 80s, Sandra Cretu. One of Sandra's most popular hits in the 80s was called 'Maria Magdalena'. If you listen to the song, you can hear the same dude from this song, sing in the background of her song. She is apparently recognise as very successful European Vocalist!
Another interesting thing about this particular song, is that the band Enigma, have another song in this same album called 'Camera Obscura'. Which is actually just the same song, but remixed in reversed. And for many of us fans, it's crazy how Camera Obscura is actually so relevant to the show too.
For the opening at 15:37, by Welsh singer Duffy! You might have heard one of her popular songs around the early 2000s called 'Mercy'. Which funnily enough, this song was sampled in a Korean Girls band back then named 'Girls Generation'. Their sampled version is called 'Dancing Queen'. Duffy has such a beautiful and poignant voice!
With the way you have a positive energy towards these songs, oh MAN you are going to have a fun ride when you discover that some stands reference some of your song favourites. My musical playlist definitely expanded because of this series haha
really appreciate that you included the final part 6 ending. So many reactors forget it and its a shame because it is such a beautiful callback.
I believe all of the ed's were handpicked by the Mangaka for the anime (well at least the western selection ones, not the two joke eds for Stardust Crusaders). The man is a nut for western music and all of the songs are what he believes he was listening to around the time he was working on that part of the Manga. The anime studio David Productions got a list from him and they selected one from his recommendations. Makes you wonder what else might have been on those lists.
Honestly knowing that the mangaka for jojos in a week in reverse is hilarious. The way we eat up anything japanese he will eat up anything western! He's just like us frfr 😂
jojo is just araki's excuse to share his playlist
40 years later Araki be like "mission failed, I forgot manga doesn't have sound"
And he was right to do so! Jojo's has introduced me to several songs and artists that I've come to love, even from some things I never thought I'd listen to.
Everybody gangsta till the Oingo Boingo brothers show up...
The callbacks to prior parts and generations are gold frfr
Seeing JoJo here would be great, especially with how much ya enjoyed things so far. There's quite a bunch of episodes overall - but it's still split into multiple, smaller parts, so there's not as much pressure on the whole thing. Even if it's slow, it'll be one hell of a ride for sure
Honestly I'm getting very tempted into watching them by all the comments I won't lie to you
@@bigsokward we love to see it :)
I beg of you, you gotta watch this show you're gonna love it
Honestly it's getting to the point I'm seeing so many comments I might have pitchforks thrown at my house if I don't 😂
just make sure than whenever you do end up watching JoJo's; that you call them Parts rather than seasons, you're gonna get flamed a lot. it's a thing within the fandom people gatekeep it a lot.
It's not gatekeeping, calling them seasons literally doesn't make sense. You've got part 3 which was released in two separate two cours seasons, part 6 had its own weird release schedule because of Netflix publishing, and parts 1 and 2 are both in the same season.
Honestly I don't mind being flamed but it is a good tip to keep in mind incase pitchforks stsrt flying at my window thank you :)
Tell that to attack in titan season 4 😂
Yayyy! Those weird ones are just for a few specific episodes.
Anyway another fire reaction!❤❤❤
The first song is "Roundabout" by the band "Yes".
"if oingo boingo brothers ed is your favorite, get help" i unironically love oingo boingo brothers ed, it's so creative and it's a bop
Super underrated
Now the theme songs let's gooooooo.....!!!!!!!
You should listen to JoJo's theme songs too! Along with the villains 👀
Honestly it was a thing I was considering doing!!
U should dude , u should ASAP @@bigsokward
After you listen to protagonists and villains themes, you should listen to jobro themes
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING MODERN CRUSADERS FIRST!!!!
I love that ending!!!
7:40 yet when you ever do watch the series…. you will understand and probably actually appreciate it
Pls react to the jojo main themes, jobro themes and the villian themes♥️ also love ur videos you just got yourself a new subscriber♥️♥️
Good video brother
You should check main characters themes and villains themes too
They're just fire
YES my man, knew this would come!
Of course of course I try my best to not disappoint :)
@@bigsokward I gotta say, about the openings. Heaven's Falling Down V2 (Stone ocean Opening 2 V2) gives me CHILLS every time I see it
You should react to the fan made ones
the author araki sensei is a big big music guy 😂
These are all songs that came out before the anime and they just licensed them
Yeah, when I saw the final ed for the first time I was very emotional, especially considering how Stone Ocean ends. But you’ll get there when you get there!
Roundabout fan:
Oingo and Boingo enjoyer:
To explain the WEIRD endings, it's basically for two one-off episodes that those endings summarize. From the perspective of those villains. Particularly from the stand of one of them, which is a Manga Book that shows the immediate future and nothing else. Also, that future can't change and any deviation, intentional or not, will result in dire consequences.
Only endings in anime that compete with jojos imo are the gintama ones
But god damn.... roundabout goes so crazy i put my entire family onto the song and they love it
Wow you've somehow managed to do what 99% of us can't...culture our family
hell yeah I love jojos endings!!!
Honestly so do I now!!!!
the last ending is a special one, it only appears in one episode
to sum up, the 6 first part (generations) of jojo got animated
and starting from part 7 (manga only), we switch to an alternate universe, where none of the 6 generations happened
so that last ending is kinda a way to say "we are done with them, say goodbye to the old Jojo's"
14:48 the song was so hard the painting dropped
work of an enemy stand
someone should correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I'm pretty sure the year the ending themes (as original songs) were at their peak has to do with when each of the parts happen Chronologically by years.
for part 1 and 2 I'm not sure how roundabout fits in, but for the rest let me tell you:
Part 3 happens in 1988, Walk Like an Egyptian being the highest selling record in 1987 and Last Train Home having it's largest sell in 1988.
Part 4 happens in 1999, I Want You by Savage Garden was released in 1997 but reached its highest selling point in 1999.
Part 5 happens in 2001, Freak'n You seems to have been released in 1995 but reached its peak in 2000 or earlier possibly. Modern Crusaders (the 2nd ED) by Enigma was released in 2000.
Part 6 happens in 2011, Distant Dreamer by Welsh singer Duffy was released in 2008 and seems to have reached its peak in 2010 or 2011.
This is all from a light research I did, but as of now all of those songs have hit the charts due to jojo fans listening to them again.
No way was part 6 done by a Welsh guy....ive never felt so patriotic 😂 honestly though thank you for the information I'm shocked you know so much and im genuinely impressed 😂
@@bigsokward truth be told, the only reason I started listening to older music is because of JoJo’s. So many characters and stands are named after musical references. So the more I got into JoJo the more I got into music!
You posted the same comment on Jon Dejour’s Ending reaction video, didn’t you?
@@ErgortanguperPolice yeah, but I posted this one first. I wanted to give new fans an insight yknow?
I didn’t even realize it got hearted nor any likes since it didn’t get any comments; I didn’t even expect him to see it since there were like 95 comments the time I commented on the video.
If you got a moment react to hamon beat! He has a series of videos where he shows all the characters and the name references to music!
No, those videos are full of spoilers and are made for people who've already read/seen the whole series
@HaohmaruHL I mean it's kinda already obvious they have spoilers, but considering the openings have spoilers too, I don't think it matters
@@Revshockwave
Openings are vague and out of context. They don't explain anything like the information on every name and ability in Hamon Beat videos do.
@@HaohmaruHL not unless you do the ones that ar music only with no explanation behind it or anything
Please listen to the protagonists and antogonists themes
Trust me my friend I'm definitely not making a videonon the themes...;)
There is a part 9 fan ending ruclips.net/video/W0-iRfZafy4/видео.htmlsi=3muGmh170zI-JNFL
Yea, this one is PEAK!
Jojo start slow
Part 2 get better
Part 3 even more better
Part 4 5 6 just like that better to better
But part 7 is just perfecetoooo

Part 8 10 on 10 not like the 7
Part 9 still going and i hope it will be better than 7
Oh wow so thr best part of jojos is like the absolute goat then? Now I really really want to watch it 😂
Part 7 is the second best rated manga in the world @@bigsokward
Another one who moves the head alot not worth watching
What?
What??
What???
Seriously though I'm commenting throughout the endings and vibing out what else do you want from me? A full history on the jojos parts that I've never watched before 😂
Huh??
