This video reminds me of my father and we are an ocean away from one another. I miss him often and for the some odd reason this video reminds me of him and gives me comfort. Thank you.
Vey nice. Are those blue flares natural to the lens or some other part of your kit or workflow? Or are you bringing those out through color correction?
Hey dude! Beautiful video! Im really curious about the cycling scene between 50s - 1:05s; did you use any stabilizer or was it handheld? cuz it looks really smooth. Thanks mate!
Incredible video!! Sorry i am new at this, so, if i get this camera could i put different lens at same time? Or why you put Metabones Speedboster, SLR magic and Nikon??? Can you explain me please???
I'm impressed!! very good!! The sharpness and incredible of your videos, some secret in rendering? Another question: do you use cine d with default setup? And the master pedestal?
Hello Leonard, loved the edit and the music choice! What are your favorite lenses for the GH4? I'm planning on buying one soon and it would be great to get some suggestions on lenses!

Nikkor lenses or something vintage. Like Helios! And of course, - go anamorphic! :)
not quite fond of the story and the pace but, I absolutely adore your look! love the grading and how nice and sharp it is. Keen to let me in on your sharpening techniques? Would be much appreciated :)
Beuty vid! Two quick questions: 2x should give you an aspect ratio of 2.66 - this looks more like 2.40 - did you crop? was there any vignetting with the 35mm?
Amazing work Leonard. Wicked grade! Did you capture at prores 422 with external rec, or was this internal? Great colours throughout dude, loving the orange backpack etc with all the darker blues too! A very warm feeling to Paris.

Thank you man! It was just internal recording for this one :)
This is why I haven't upgraded my GH4 it's an awesome camera and I rather just rig it out and get different lenses. I have used my GH4 for about three and a half years now and it's the coolest camera I just bought the Blackmagic cinema camera to go with it.
Typically anamorphic makes your image a little bit softer and some people think a little out of focus looking. But because you don't have to cover part of your image in post to get the widescreen look you have a higher pixel density so that may help make things look a bit more detailed
Anamorphitic adapters degrade the quality as it introduces aberrations and optical softness, even when the number of pixes captured remains the same, the pixels are spread to a wider aspect, so the precived resolution is reduced. Good Anamorphic lenses can cost 80.000 USD. So don't expect miricles from an 700 USD adapter. They are a bitch in handling.
+John Ross thanks so much, funny story I've seen that video before and for the life of me could not remember the name to re-watch it, you literally just blessed me by that. God is too Good! Any chance you know what exactly those transitions are called it's almost an art form on its own. Thanks
Hell, how in love I am with this and thank you introducing me to Tom Rosenthal. What a song.
On top of being very amazing and cool, Tom Rosental is a great artist and person. Loved this.
Really exceptional work, the clarity and color is so enticing you do not want to look away.

I always wondered if the sharpness was turned up, or if the 422HQ export was just that good..

The GH4 has a 4:3 mode for shooting anamorphic.
Amazing work Leonard. Wicked grade! Did you capture at prores 422 with external rec, or was this internal? Great colours throughout dude, loving the orange backpack etc with all the darker blues too! A very warm feeling to Paris.

This is why I haven't upgraded my GH4 it's an awesome camera and I rather just rig it out and get different lenses. I have used my GH4 for about three and a half years now and it's the coolest camera I just bought the Blackmagic cinema camera to go with it.
Hi Leonard! Great short! Which SLR Magic Anamorphot did you use?
Iandra Bedin Thank you. 1.33x.
Nice ! Did you record with the 4:3 option ?
Very nice
Damn this looks, good. Did you film all handheld?
Does anamorphic increase the quality of the image? Footage shot in anamorphic always looks smoother

i love your videos
+VideoDariando Thanks
Were you still at 4k when shooting the slo-mo sections?
Nice video!
Thanks!
how you use to stabilizer?
How do create those transitions (ex. when you switch from the fence to the guys face) please respond.
They are film burns! Look for those. I have made my own using different elements, but you can buy them as well.
thank you for the reply but i meant the "Panning" like transition right before the film burn?
+Sunlensfp Google "the watchtower of Turkey"
+John Ross thanks so much, funny story I've seen that video before and for the life of me could not remember the name to re-watch it, you literally just blessed me by that. God is too Good! Any chance you know what exactly those transitions are called it's almost an art form on its own. Thanks
Haha, look up 'inside Matty Brown's mind: killer transitions'
what did you use to color correct this
