  • This is definitely one of my longer videos but I really want to show you guys all highlights of my tournament days. This tournament was out of Big Break (California Delta) and the 4th stop for the Yak-a-Bass series. I’ve had a very mediocre season with them so far. Could this be the tournament I turn things around?

    Love this one. Second place 👍 Ordered a SP 12 LT based on what I saw. I like how you would stand up in a hurry and I didn’t notice the boat move hardly at all. Hope it is as stable as it looked and handles the wind just as well. Would have like a few comments on the 12 to help me feel confident on the purchase. It was between the 12 LT and the SP 10.

    Congrats on a great finish. Do you plan on doing a review for the Slayer LT? As someone who is interested in making the jump to a peddle driven kayak I would be very interested in your thoughts on the kayak now that you have spent some time fishing it. For myself (and I am sure many others), the LT opens the door to a peddle drive while still being able to transport it the same way as my paddle yak. Thanks a lot, and great video as always.

    • @GregBlanchardFishing
      @GregBlanchardFishing  7 лет назад

      THanks, Matt! Yep, just filmed the review, should be out soon!. This think is nearly the same as my slayer 13 and it's super light weight which I love. I have a CTUG cart to which i've used with it and could probably cart this boat for a mile without any issue.

    • @mattzapala4791
      @mattzapala4791 7 лет назад

      Thanks a lot, Greg! I can't wait to see it. Having never owned any yak other than OK Prowler 13 I am trying to get a sense of how much faster an LT would be at a "cruising" speed. There are lots of spots I found on Google Earth that have my name on them if I could just get to them at little more easily.

    If I had a limit already of at least 50 inches, there's no way I'd give up on a "10 lb bass" if I seen it in the water, I'd throw my whole tackle box at it until it was time to head back in.

    Hey Greg: The reeds at 5:36 are suitable for putting such a light kayak entirely right into them, lobbing a texas rigged senko around, with unpegged 1/16oz bullet weight, gently retrieved and when it falls between reeds and gets bit, you simply reel gently so that the LT kayak literally glides through the reeds until it arrives at the waiting hung-up fish. 15lb braid is more than strong enough for this opposite-from-normal (but proven) technique.

      LOL. Yep, tourneyx is a live feed (so long as people upload therir fish) but I had a feeling it would be around 50'' based on my prefish and research of the area. Actually, I just went back there this morning and I know now that there was potential for a 60'' bag easy.
