Hurricane Beryl makes landfall in Texas

Hurricane Beryl has been downgraded to a tropical storm after sweeping into Texas as a Category 1 storm with heavy rains and powerful winds. The hurricane knocked out power to 1.5 million homes and businesses as fast-rising waters caused street flooding and prompted rescues.
