I am not gonna lie. The AI was so aggressive and out of place, that I liked it. Its like some a bit angry/hyped non sense dude was always talking in an over exaggerated way lol I thought that the aggressive nature of it did fit with the entire Mishima trope from Tekken, even though it was a bit weird.
I don't think he's self conscious. He streams on twitch in his regular voice. He even said he often hears that his regular voice is AI. I liked the AI voice for fighting game content. It was different.
For Nina I would like to mention her b+3+4,1+2 - it has much better range than the mentioned 3,4 while also doing 34 damage. In heat, it does 54 damage and wallsplats from really far away.
Thank you. Amazing work as always. I didn't expect you on OCE server and noticed that we fought a few times in ranked (I'm losing 1-4 vs you) after watching your tourney vid :) Keep up the great work!
Reina's ff2 is 13f off of Hit or Block stun. Thr first forward can be buffered and the attack button must be pressed at least 1f after the second forward. There's a neutral in-between so that's 15f in neutral and 13f in stun.
You left out another followup for alisa’s f3,2; you can do f3(DBT),2,1 for better damage without heat. Otherwise, great video as usual, can’t wait to see more of this content.
For Nina her 3,4 is never used as her i14 punisher. What Nina players use is f3 for 30 dmg into fully charged ff1+2. If they stay on the ground that's additional 25 dmg and if they stand and block that's 9 chip damage and +8 on block. Or they use b3+4,1+2 for 34 dmg outside of heat and 54 dmg in heat and wallsplats from across the stage. For i15 frames she should be top tier as her b1+4 has great range and in open space she nets 95 dmg without rage, heat, walls or any stage gimmick: b1+4, uf4, qcf1, iws1x3, df3,2~db2, db3+4 t! db2, qcf4,3,1+2 = 95 dmg.
Interesting decision putting a 28 damage non-wallsplatting punisher a whole tier above laws 40 damage wallsplat punisher but fair enough. Punishes are rather contextual a lot of the time, in terms of what will be better or worse.
Great stuff MC. You da Master of Content. I'd argue on the first two spots, since for me Lars is the clear top1, but I get that it's hard to quantify launchers. Both Bryan and Lars have insane combos, and both punishers have solid range, but blueballs being a Mid, it will always hit in every situation. And that plays a kinda significant role in launch-punishing specific characters options, especially YOLO ones, like Bear's everything, Jim's samsara , Eddy's b3 etc.
Based on what exactly? There are so many different factors. Damage, range, wall splat, knockdown, oki, heat Properties, etc. You dont mention any of these things so I'm just confused about your ranking.
Yeah, I think his should be further high up. Good range, deadly near wall, only lacking oki. Alternatively, he could go b4,3 with better wall travel and frame advantage, but for some reason he didn't list it in.
I'm curious why you ranked Reina over Kazuya on the EWGF punish. Is it bc of the potential damage they get on the combo? I can't speak for Reina but Kazuya (assuming the execution is there) can get a max of 82 damage afaik from a 14f EWGF punish. That is ofcourse the damage not counting resources like Walls, Stages, Rage or Heat. The combo is EWGF EWGF cd1+2 (12)43 b221+2.
Reina's non-electric options are just better, so I guess that's a fair placement. If, for example, Kumer goes for b1 HBS cancel on meaty timing (for instance, on okizeme situations, where it becomes -14), neither Reina nor Kaz can launch it. Kazuyer can get something like db1,2, or df4,4, etc. but his only proper i14 option would be b2,4. In the same situation, Reina can do much better, as shown in the vid.
Doing pewgf vs regular ewgfs do the same damage in combos unless it is off of something like counterhit df2 or whatever into pewgf which is unrelated to this vid. Pewgf just means 13f electric.@@baconbitz7804
It's a natural combo. You can only interrupt it if you block the first two hits (which also means you can option select your punish rather than guessing if they're gonna finish the string).
Alisa can follow up her f3, 2 with b1+2 if im not mistaken for 50 instead of 47. Game shows it as combo dmg to me. Not sure if there is a wakeup optoon that beats it though

Not surprised Lars is number 2. He's the only character with a mid i14 launcher. The only caveat is that it's super launch punishable. The only other character who did have an i14 mid launcher before T8 was Kuni with her DP in T7, and before that it was Jinpachi in Tag 2 with his df2. Edit: Jinpachi df2 was a high. My bad, and Law's 3+4,4 was also a mid i14 launcher, but that had a duckable high attached to it, so there was a counter.

The worst part about Law's going from a launcher to a supposed +OB high damage (just duck it) one is that they still haven't fixed the issue that at far range you can hit the first kick of the 3+4 and the rest of the attack will not combo properly, especially since he doesn't even have a 14f HE like okay yes 10f CH exists but every option besides the 18f -9ob move is CH only.
