I just wanted to say, that ending is incredible. The power of beast betraying you starts the toxic section of the story, with the truth being put out at the end of the kind section. Both are the same scene, with slightly different information, but they have different emotional effects to fit the feel of the story. Absolute masterpiece!

Wow! What a great story! The icing on the cake was when you randomly met up with Jill again. She's the sweetest, most kind person, who genuinely wants to help others. So, it was really awesome to see her join you in this adventure to do just that. It really goes to show that instead of trying to immediately kill whoever you cross paths with, that most of the time being friendly and talking to people can be a lot more rewarding than any amount of loot you've gathered.
Have they fixed the game so that players aren't incentivized to kill one another on sight? Because one thing I've observed from the vanilla servers is that it's pretty much a giant multiplayer shooter with a few zombies around. Honestly, what I think would be great is if they MASSIVELY upped the number of zombies in the game. Think about it. I've noticed that there tend to be very few zombies in the game (at least when I watch others play), and so a decent player can pretty much play alone. There's no REAL need to cooperate, so they're trying to maximize their loot for themselves, and the only threat to that is other players. So shooting on sight begins, and when players know that that's the DayZ culture, well, that's what we get. But what if there were far more zombies? I know my vision is probably harder to implement that it is to type, but say that most of the loot was in the cities. And in order to loot a part of the city safely, you needed, we'll say, 8 players cooperating. But let's say these areas that effectively required 8 players to cooperate only have enough loot for, say, 6 people? What do the players do? Do they all stick together, and just go with less food and ammo than they each need? Does one greedy player betray the rest of the group and try to take everything? Does the group split into different factions, warring with each other for supplies? So, SO many exciting possibilities. But if there's not enough zombies, then there simply isn't a large enough threat to unite the players, and therefore it devolves into every man for himself (unless you schedule playtime with your friends). From what I've seen of DayZ, if I started a game alone on the regular server and ran into another player, it would probably be a shoot-on-sight scenario.

The end was incredible, I was on a blood feud with Beast throughout the whole video and the way you projected yourself as the hero, looking over your shoulder and back in time to tell the viewers, that not everything is bad (beast, storm, "it's dayZ innit") was absolutely incredible. The music, the cinematics, everything pure masterclass. I love your videos in general but this time, you outdone yourself!

She was a sweetheart who was peaceful and just helped. And JLK ended up becoming like a guardian angel protecting her as best he could through the duration of the vid.

I've been playing DayZ since 2012, what sparked my love for it was the amazing story telling done by Frankie. I've followed many story tellers for DayZ from Frankie to TRMZ, Mr. Moon, and many more. Let me tell you, you've captured the atmosphere perfectly. Your quality of these videos with the editing and attitude is in perfect harmony with the man that made me fall in love with the game in the first place. Keep up this amazing work, and it may not be much for you to read but you've earned a sub from me. I hope to see lots more out of you.
Wow, really amazing storytelling in this production man! And such a good message. Yeah, in the end… “it’s DayZ innit”. It’s a dark game about looting and killing. But then again, there are no rules and there is no “correct” way to play the game. It’s a sandbox after all. Working together, helping other players, and being kind and generous can lead to amazing stories like these and even new friendships. Hopefully people can take these lessons into real life as well.
I have NEVER had an experience as good as day z. I've met so many people and had a good time doing so. Just shows that people can be friendly in a game full of bandits and toxic clans. I've never had a meeting go well. I try to be friendly and polite and helpful and I always get back stabbed or just shot on sight. The only time I have ever had a positive experience was I ran into Panda from the Yogscast and he gave me a morphine because I had a broken leg at NWAF. That was it.

I haven't played DayZ (yet), but I have watched people play this game for years. After all the dishonesty, toxicity, brutality and obviously some good people; you running into an old friend (Jill) that is the true inspiration of what your mission is about, honestly overflowed my emotions. It felt like going to war and then coming to grips with the horror and breaking down. Very powerful video.

Bro I haven't seen anyone talk about. That ending though Like wtf this whole time you made it seem like beast was a bad guy but then when a little more context was added the full story showed itself Goes to show when you leave out or add a little information the whole situation can change
I was going to say, got to the end bit replay where Beast killed him and thought...'he thought JLK had taken a shot at him'. He only reacted after the shot, saw a body and returned fire. Then I watched the rest of the last 2 minutes and saw Beast's comments.
Only problem with that is that he didn’t shoot him when Beast got up, so any normal person would’ve known it was someone else, plus he told beast that there was another guy in the opposite building
@Beast :* At the beginning, with the lack of that last bit of your chat included, I genuinely thought you had backstabbed him. Then I saw the same clip again at the ending, and I noticed the zombie, which I somehow missed the first time. Seeing him shoot that zombie and the zombie laying on the floor, I thought you had thought (not seeing the zombie on the floor) he was trying to shoot you, and simply returned fire. xD Either way, I was wrong. Excellent ending of putting the whole context in. It really changes the story completely.

I spent 2 years sleeping on the streets and there's an organization called outreach that basically look after the homeless and you guys remind me of outreach but with rifles awesome I loved this and Jill is a legend
Well that is surely the best channel about DayZ on RUclips in my humble opinion. I used to play DayZ when it was only an Arma Mod... but I've stopped when it became stand-alone not because of crappy development at the beginning...let's be honest it was shit at the start but they've started to make it right. I've stopped playing DayZ because of players who are shooting you on the spot. Those who played DayZ ArmA mod know what I'm talking about. Those days where beautiful, the community back then.. well it makes me cry. Damn man... This was a beautiful thing. only a few hours in DayZ, but I play Rust and I have for about 6-7 years. When Rust was in its early stages and not as popular as it is today you could have great interactions with people. Now it's shoot-on-sight and totally aggro. Miss those days. I have been watching these long ass videos of yours man and I can't stop. I usually can't wait for the expanse, star trek, 1803 etc etc... but most of the time I just put that in the back burner and binge your videos. Your story telling is so cool. I've been playing DayZ since 2012, what sparked my love for it was the amazing story telling done by Frankie. I've followed many story tellers for DayZ from Frankie to TRMZ, Mr. Moon, and many more. Let me tell you, you've captured the atmosphere perfectly. Your quality of these videos with the editing and attitude is in perfect harmony with the man that made me fall in love with the game in the first place. Yeah, in the end… “it’s DayZ innit”. It’s a dark game about looting and killing. But then again, there are no rules and there is no “correct” way to play the game. It’s a sandbox after all.
Working together, helping other players, and being kind and generous can lead to amazing stories like these and even new friendships. Hopefully people can take these lessons into real life as well.
I have NEVER had an experience as good as day z. I've met so many people and had a good time doing so. Just shows that people can be friendly in a game full of bandits and toxic clans. Thanks Josh for introducing me to this goated game and producing AMAZING content. And also big up Tom for being friends with me for so long after he jump scared me in elektro. I've never had a meeting go well. I try to be friendly and polite and helpful and I always get back stabbed or just shot on sight. The only time I have ever had a positive experience was I ran into Panda from the Yogscast and he gave me a morphine because I had a broken leg at NWAF. That was it.

I haven't played DayZ (yet), but I have watched people play this game for years. After all the dishonesty, toxicity, brutality and obviously some good people; you running into an old friend (Jill) that is the true inspiration of what your mission is about, honestly overflowed my emotions. It felt like going to war and then coming to grips with the horror and breaking down. Very powerful video.

I was going to say, got to the end bit replay where Beast killed him and thought...'he thought JLK had taken a shot at him'. He only reacted after the shot, saw a body and returned fire.
Then I watched the rest of the last 2 minutes and saw Beast's comments.

@Beast :* At the beginning, with the lack of that last bit of your chat included, I genuinely thought you had backstabbed him. Then I saw the same clip again at the ending, and I noticed the zombie, which I somehow missed the first time. Seeing him shoot that zombie and the zombie laying on the floor, I thought you had thought (not seeing the zombie on the floor) he was trying to shoot you, and simply returned fire. xD Either way, I was wrong. Excellent ending of putting the whole context in. It really changes the story completely.

Well that is surely the best channel about DayZ on RUclips in my humble opinion. I used to play DayZ when it was only an Arma Mod... but I've stopped when it became stand-alone not because of crappy development at the beginning...let's be honest it was shit at the start but they've started to make it right. I've stopped playing DayZ because of players who are shooting you on the spot. Those who played DayZ ArmA mod know what I'm talking about. Those days where beautiful, the community back then.. well it makes me cry. Now even though I have DayZ it's not installed and I'm just watching videos like this... to remind myself that there are 'players' and 'Players'. Chapeau Bas Mr. JLK

Damn man... This was a beautiful thing. only a few hours in DayZ, but I play Rust and I have for about 6-7 years. When Rust was in its early stages and not as popular as it is today you could have great interactions with people. Now it's shoot-on-sight and totally aggro. Miss those days. I have been watching these long ass videos of yours man and I can't stop. I usually can't wait for the expanse, star trek, 1803 etc etc... but most of the time I just put that in the back burner and binge your videos. Your story telling is so cool. I love this video, I heard from a homie that use to play Arma 2 dayz mod and told me how fun dayz was back then and the hero always had missions to do and it would show on the map.
