Center for the Army Profession and Leadership

The Center for the Army Profession and Leadership (CAPL) is the result of merging the Center for the Army Profession and Ethic (CAPE) and the Center for Army Leadership (CAL) into a single organization. This action was taken to meet the Secretary of the Army’s priorities to reform organizations and drive efficiencies. The merger began in April 2019 and completed in August 2019. Located at Ft. Leavenworth, CAPL brings together our leadership and profession directorates to achieve better synergy of like functions within a single organization. CAPL is also better positioned to nest with CAC staff, Army University and schools, CAC-Training, the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate and the Center for Army Lessons Learned.
