I'm glad you appreciate it. Your pistol on your last video was just as awesome without the have too's. Down thumb for that but way up thumb for your accomplishments man. With all respect.
I think a great series of videos for you would be to take the cost of one of your guns, call it $10k per month. Then put that towards bringing in the best instructors, and they can teach you how to shoot these guns. You bought a Ferrari and you drive it like a truck.
If your really wanting to see what that open gun and multi- ported open guns in general are designed to do you need to be shooting a slow burning powder and my preference was with a 115gr projectile in 38super. Many formulas and theories out there but when i ran the longer comps with 6+ ports and 3 barrel popple holes I'd run a 115@ just over 1500fps and with my powder choice was creating tons of gas to get the most out of the intended design. And for what its worth I could get 10k rounds on a 8# recoil spring and not ISMI. 6 out of 10 at the time i tried failed my recoil # spring ck'r. Wolf springs exactly what the pkg states. And as far as main springs i tried 15# but 17's with 1.75# trigger would not leaving you trying to make up a light strike re-rack and or hammer follow. SuperComp is awesome allowing 1 more possible round per mag but as stated at the time i was shooting open the cost and availability even back then wasn't something i wanted to deal with.
I was impressed by some of the rifle shooting I’ve seen you do, but respect that you show your honest groups not just your best. That being said even as a cubicle working guy I have worked hard to teach myself to shoot a handgun much better than that haha
My son used to shoot for SV and he worked there for several years as well. He became a USPSA Grandmaster at 17 and was extremely successful in national and international competitions. He had a few SV open guns and one limited-class gun. I too had an open gun that I have since sold because I don't shoot IPSC anymore. I still have my son's 40 S&W limited-class gun that he finished 8th at the Limited Nationals with when he was just 16. I also have an officers model size 9mm SV that my son built me for Christmas one year. They are great guns but about 95% of mortal humans including me will never be able to use them at the level they are intended. Most guys would be much better served buying a $2,000 gun and spending the other $8,000 on training and ammo if they are serious about becoming good in the sport. As far as maintenance they are really no different than any 1911/2011 except they seemingly last forever. You just need to keep it clean and yes change the recoil spring once in a while. I can also assure you any quality lube will work just fine. We used nothing but Kellube M12 and still do. Beautiful gun. It should bring you many years of great fun.
Has a tonne of similarities to the Witness Elite from Tanfoglio. Now there was a race gun that was way ahead of it's time... Could probably outshoot 70% of the latest race guns out there still! Maybe do a shoot-off between them? 😁 This Infinity looks like a beast though! Thanks for sharing!
I love my 2011 4.25 prodigy. Nothing like a 2011 plate form. There is a legit reason why 2011 are 1500 and more. What impressed me is you have your own shooting range in your dame basement. I am jelious
I’m an ok shot at best. I go to the range 2-3 times a month shoot about 100-150 rounds. Wish I was your neighbor lol. Thank you for the real results non-edited
There is a guy at my range who has an insane collection not even close to what you have but I've been trying to get him to show me his full collection and not just what he brings to the range.
Maybe you need to see Ms Lena for a tune up on yourself. The main thing is, are we having any fun yet. You keep on buying and doing videos and I’ll continue to be a subscriber
Lots of haters in the comments but that’s normal !! I enjoyed this video us 2A and gun lovers have enough enemies these days so the last thing we need to do is shit on each other just my opinion 🤷🏼♂️
That is sick. I will agree that the maintenance on it is a bit ridiculous, but it’s like my dad always said about high end cars, if you got the means to buy one, you should have the means to maintain them. One thing I missed, Matt said it came with the barrel for .38 Super, but I didn’t catch what barrel was in it (i.e. what caliber he was shooting). I assume it was 9mm?
I don’t think I’d want to spend $10k on a gun that I can just use and abuse. I understand routine maintenance but having to replace vital parts after so few rounds is wild
If you want to become a better pistol shooter there are tons of good instructors out there. Look up an outfit called TPC. They can come out to your range and you will thank me later.
Hey guy, welcome to my home I spent $3.5M on. I just bought the Ferrari of race guns, did i mention i spent $1.3M each on my 2 actually Ferraris. I own 2 other CZ’s that are only $5k each ….
First, no there's nothing special about their oil. Not sure where you heard that BS. Lol. Second, it's a top of the line IPSC/USPSA Open class race pistol. So more of an F1 or MotoGP than a Ferrari. It's meant to be used hard in training and matches and remain very accurate & reliable for many 10's of thousands of rounds per barrel. You need to feed it the right ammo. The spec sheet should give your recommendations on the powder, load, etc. to properly work the popple holes (in the top of the barrel to reduce muzzle rise) and the comp so the pistol functions as designed. Open guns are really loud and rather abusive and so the factory recommends really aggressive maintenance schedules for the springs, etc. since they know most people suck at maintaining their equipment. If you practice/compete enough with it, you'll learn what intervals you actually need. Third, you should check out Ben Stoeger's RUclips channel and books for a lot of things that will help you learn to use that thing better such as both eyes open with target focus, grip, etc. Some great drills to start with would be Trigger Control at Speed, Practical Accuracy, and Doubles Drill.
Thanks for showing us your new toy the people hating don’t realize gun people don’t really care whether you can shoot well or not ..for most of us it’s just fun to shoot cool things
Even if I had the money for a Ferrari I wouldn't buy one. But hey Congrats on spending $10,000 on a Pistol that doesn't include skill in the manuel. New sub and can't wait to see what else you waste your money on. Thanks for sharing!
It’s a beauty that’s for sure, you buy one of the best open guns made for USPSA and don’t even shoot USPSA 🤦, also you will see a greater benefit using hotter loads rather than just factory ammo. I have a czechmate for open but I usually run carry optics or limited optics in USPSA. I am picking up an atlas in a couple months which I cannot wait but one day I will have an infinity! Gorgeous pistol bubba, now go run some local matches or dust off some of your other reg non comp’d 2011’s and run limited optics, you’ll have a great time, those matches are so much more fun then shooting plates in the backyard!
It pains me to hear that you don't know the features of this beautiful open gun. Grip is made of steel or aluminum and the inserts on the grip are for laser cut skateboard tape. Also the holes are popple holes.
I can already see that your extractor needs tuning because your brass is not coming out right and you need hotter loads you have to reload your ammo for open guns factory ammo is shit for comp guns
😂 As a right handed shooter. That charging handle thing would be buried into your stomach. But damn, imagine pulling that thing out in a SHTF moment. 😂😂😂
You need the nighthawk bds9 the m200 intervention By Chey-tac and lastly but the best the FN Ballista it’s just like the Barrett Mrad!!! If you see this please like and tell me what you think about these choices!!!
Now I know why you are called "The Collector" and not "The User".
I was thinking the same
At least he had some self humiliation and mentioned he isn’t that good in the beginning. I respect that .
Pretty sure he covered all those bases in his intro.
"The user" would be the dumbest name of all time
😂
Disassembling, modifying and maintaining guns is half of the fun.
This might be the most honest video you have made yet. What a beautiful firearm. Thanks for being real.
I'm glad you appreciate it.
Your pistol on your last video was just as awesome without the have too's.
Down thumb for that but way up thumb for your accomplishments man.
With all respect.
It's so difficult to watch this review without being able to hold it. I just want to rack that slide! Beautiful piece
You can hold mine, and slide it back.
Thank you for sharing. I wish i had a 10th of your collection. Your channel is great
Amazing. Have a similar one on order. Can't wait to get it.
Thank you for making another great video

If I could afford one of these it would be my nightstand gun. LOL

Like the no bullshit approach to making videos. thanks for sharing!
I’ve been running my SVI for almost a decade … a great investment in a fine firearm period.
I would order the replacement springs now.
That's like having a formula 1 racing car and not racing. Infinity makes the best, no doubt about it.
I was impressed by some of the rifle shooting I’ve seen you do, but respect that you show your honest groups not just your best. That being said even as a cubicle working guy I have worked hard to teach myself to shoot a handgun much better than that haha
You and your girl driving YOUR cars is def one hell of a flex🤝🏽
Thats 1/3 of my yearly income on a single pistol lol
Yikes lol
@@zaccomptonk590 yeah yikes
You make 30k a year? Jesus dude there are pan handlers who take home more than that 😂
It's okay to have dreams. It's okay to look at Ferraris, just realize to make your dreams a reality, you might have to bump that yearly income... js
@@jaydubs6354 working produce at a grocery store man. No skills to rely on well not unless I were to go back in the Army anyways.

Ok that is to me a top gun in your collection very awesome.
They make some great firearms and I like the STI’s in 38 Super. Great little video and very nice firearms 😂

You should take a look at the Bul Armory SASII Bullesteros race gun, one of the nicest race guns I have ever shot!
no eyepro....?
Sweet race pistol! Please use 👁 protection

Safety first! I noticed you didn't put your safety glasses on when shooting. That being said, that is a super sweet gun.

beautiful. except the purple. make those parts gold, and.. *chef kiss*
Sooooo much hate and jealousy in this comment section good lord
How it's compare to Cabot or Atlas?
It's worth it.... So accurate.... But like you said. It jams without oiling
Its so pretty that you cant even shoot it lol.
Lighten up Francis, it's a joke

Money can't buy skills
Have you not seen any of his other videos?
Wow! It’s super ackerate!
Anyone else holding their breath with him so far back from the line, no eye pro, and the angle of the camera man?
Maybe you need to see Ms Lena for a tune up on yourself. The main thing is, are we having any fun yet. You keep on buying and doing videos and I’ll continue to be a subscriber
38 Super/super comp is a higher pressure round and to keep it shooting the same they port the barrel also
4:51 did not have his eye protection on while shooting.
Awesome thanks sharing. Do you sell the shirt you have on?
You definitely need to give to Lena Miculek to try!
Great video GOD bless you and your whole family
Very beautiful gun
A “Ferrari” is only as fast as you can shift it!
Wow, what a beauty 😮
Dang Collector stepped up his editing game!

$10k is crazy to think about for a pistol, but it definitely looks like fun to shoot! Congratulations on being able to casually pick one up.😅
Nobody needs a 10k gun to smoke Chad 😂
Gorgeous!
Awesome gun, is it just me or does it remind anyone else of an ant eater?
Interesting sound.
Very cool 😮😮😮😮
Collector gets a ton of hate about his shooting skills. Guys, he just likes guns. Not everyone has to be John Wick. 😂😂😂
💯
Keep collecting :)
you should buy a new pair of hands! with that gun not even a child misses😂😂

IM sure they told you to only shoot major ammo! That comp needs PRESSURE to really shine!!
Espléndida y Estupenda
Be fun to push one of your 2011s to the limits for u
Man that is a beauty
The grip is made of billet aluminum. Your build sheet will explain everything to you
They do do aluminum grips but I'd expect that open pistol to be a steel grip for proper balance.
No way do you have to use the oil they make that’s crazy!
Indeed, not sure where he heard that BS. It's more about the viscosity and sheer strength.
Yeah 👍 Wow 👏 🤘🤠🤘
If you want to become a better pistol shooter there are tons of good instructors out there. Look up an outfit called TPC. They can come out to your range and you will thank me later.
Bad guy gun in a steam punk flick.
Need a particular oil, lol. Right
Beautiful see the cost is defo worth it
You need a Blake gann gun. Frome Stoneville n.c.
like you said, you can defend yourself and that's what counts!!!!!!!!!

Kids, this is exact proof of user over tool. Buy a gun, train with that gun. A $10k 2011 won’t make you better until you are at a very high level.
Doesn’t matter. He likes collecting guns. Obviously he can afford it. Who are you to judge?
I miss having fun
It’s only a Ferrari if the manufacturer sues its own customers for customizing what they own.
Well, at least money can buy a body guard
You know what my Ruger does?
The same thing, & I've got $9,500 left over!🌠
Yeah but you don’t have an Infinity.
If the accent pieces were timascus 🥵
On a serious note, is there any real difference between raceguns other than the sight cos i bet all of you can recite the usual mods in your sleep
