Millie, you really need to listen to Mark 1 tracks. The ones worth listening to are Hush - Mandrake Root - Help! - Hey Joe - Kentucky Woman - Exposition/We Can Work It Out -
Shield - Anthem - River Deep, Mountain High - Lalena - Why Didn't Rosemary? - Bird Has Flown - April. Also, from Mk II, you must listen to Place In Line.
Try “Burn”. Different singer and bass player but an amazing keyboard solo and greatest drumming ever.
Could you Please react to Rory Gallagher?? His music and live performances are awesome.
Hi Millie, always enjoy your reactions 🙂👍, didn't you react to "Highway Star" a while back though?
You need to hear the live version on Made in Japan. Really wild!!!
The whole Machine Head album is a classic. Lots more to react to.
First album I bought
Agreed ...It was their best album.
Great stuff from beginning to end.
Deep Purple maybe a Highway Star, but Millie is a dancing machine.
Ohh her anergy.. awesome
" but Millie is a dancing machine. " RUclips video : Dancing Machine-The Jackson 5 - High Quality
Hahaha thank you 💜😊
Millie is both Bae, and Bomb !!!!!!
Yes she is she's so adorable watching her enjoying the beat
Even though I am old as dirt now, I was fortunate to see Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Vanilla Fudge on their US tour for this album in 1972. Funny thing was Vanilla Fudge, and Black Sabbath opened for Deep Purple. The keyboardist is the amazing Jon Lord, singer Ian Gillian, guitar Ritchie Blackmore, bass Roger Glover and drums Ian Paice. It was one of the most amazing concerts of my life and I have seen a lot. Basically the whole audience was doing what you are now. :)
OMG Vanilla Fudge! haven't heard that band since Moby Dick was a white sardine
@@Jack96993 Heck of a band , eh! :) I wondered what happened to Moby.
This song was responsible for many a speeding ticket in my youth.
Beware from the Made In Japan version :-)
How fortunate to be young during late 1960s thru the 1970s. I would not trade that to be young today.
Graduated from HS in NYC in 1971. Every band came through town and concerts/shows is what we did all the time.
Jon Lord on the organ & keyboards for Deep Purple... 🤘🤘He was a classically-trained pianist and composer, and he co-founded Deep Purple around 1968 w/ Ritchie Blackmore (guitar)and Ian Paice (drums)... In 1970, Deep Purple wanted to make 'heavy rock' music like Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix, so they got Ian Gillan (lead vocals) and Roger Glover (bass) and made history w/ 4 major albums - "In rock" (1970)... 'Fireball' (1971)... 'Machine head' (1972) and 'Who do we think we are' (1973)... in addition, a historic live album 'Made in Japan' (1972).
Jon Lord played his Hammond organ through a guitar amp, so he his sound was as heavy and powerful as Blackmore's guitar.
Deep Purple carried on until 1976 w/ David Coverdale (vocals) and Glenn Hughes (bass & vocals) before disbanding... Jon Lord and his friend Ian Paice eventually joined Whitesnake (David Coverdale's band) until 1984, when Deep Purple reunited w/ Gillan, Blackmore, Lord, Paice and Glover... internal tensions finally lead to Ritchie Blackmore leaving Deep Purple a second time in 1993.
Jon Lord kept going w/ Deep Purple until 2002... he expressed interest in making classical music again, and left the band cordially... Don Airey (keyboards) replaced him... Sadly, Jon Lord passed away from cancer in 2012... (R.I.P. legend) He was honored by Deep Purple, Whitesnake, and even recently by Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) w/ a tribute tour for Jon Lord as 'Concerto for group and orchestra' (which was the Deep Purple concerto project that he organized way back in 1969).
U can watch Jon Lord interviews online... He was such a gentleman and a profoundly articulate in talking about his music and works.
Jon Lord, the absolute ruling master of the Hammond B-3 organ.
Indeed-the power and glory by the MASTER. The Lord our God!! Continuing to blow minds here in the 21st century-Love it!
My ringtone is "Smoke on the Water". I love Deep Purple!! TRUE ROCK N ROLL!!
Smoke on the water another deep purple song i like
I am so happy that the 21st century youth are recognizing real music.
Deep Purple this the classic line-up (is their best) and this album Machine Head are iconic in Rock history. Jon Lord (RIP) is one of my all-time favorites on keys. But two others to check out are Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson.
The early 70's were an epic time for keyboardist's! Almost every top band had a good to great one.
Haaaaa... that was great ... I love seeing folks react to music from my era, and it's so fun to think back to my first listen as well. We used to jam this album. Actually, I should say 8 track in the car. Keep spreading the music around God bless❤🎉
Even more epic... especially if you like those keyboards and guitar solo.... Lazy (preferably from the Machine Head album) It is my favorite DP song of all.
Deep Purple is one of my favorite bands. Was actually able to play drums with Ian Gillan in Hawaii while they were practicing for a concert in Hawaii in the mid 80's.
Marvelous Millie. This was my favorite band when I graduated from High School. Giving away my age.
Obviously this song is epic , because is one of the best song of rock ever
This song has so many drivers getting caught for speeding.
Hell yeah!!! You said it right. Jon Lord's distortion based keyboards are his signature. Richie Blackmore on guitar was one of the original shredders and epic guitarists. Another song similar to this is on the first Blue Oyster Cult album called Stairway to the Stars. I think you'll love it!!! Also listen to Transmaniacon MC the first cut on the album. Another epic song and album.
Love this song and your reaction to it. Every band member kills it in this epic masterpiece. Heck yeah🤘
Saw the Machine Head tour at the Rainbow Theatre London in 1972- loudest PA at the time. John Lord- Keyboard genius. Millie- so wild and crazy today. Carefull you do't get too over excited ****.
There isn't one bad track in Deep Purple's 1972 album 'Machine head'... from "Highway star" to "Space truckin' " ... Stellar 🎇heavy rock album. And also the live album "Made in Japan" recorded in Japan on the 'Machine head' tour 1972... it is a live album w/ no overdubs in the studio and cost only $3000 to record (Queen's 1975 album 'A night at the Opera' cost 40K Pounds).
Millie - You're epic! Your reaction was as sincere and spontaneous as one could appreciate. You did my heart wonders watching the joy and appreciation you expressed to one of all-time great rock tunes by one of the greatest rock bands in history. Thanks for giving me a laugh and smile.
God Bless Millie - and now try Space Truckin' from the same album ...
Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Gillan, Jon Lord, Roger Glover, Ian Paice. Still legends. Also later: David Coverdale, Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, & Joe Satriani notable among others.
Jon Lord - not John.
@@Vinterfrid ok. Thanks for the correction.
Jon Lord was heart of Deep Purple... Founder of the band. He was in every line-up until he wasn't able to play.
By a lot of people this song is considered to be first heavy metal song (even that than heavy metal wasn't the thing). And Machine Head is probably one of albums that mostly influenced this genre.
One possible way of hearing this song is the cover in The Expanse S03E07 (in Belter language, but the music is pretty copy of the original).
This song is just 🔥 I never get tired of it. Great Reaction
Masterclass
Just when I thought you couldn't outdo your other reactions---- you did!
Thanks 💜
Every Deep Purple song has insane keyboards in it. John Lord is a killer on them !
I am going to be picky. It is actually spelled Jon Lord
Si sei pignolo, ma per il signore questo ed altro ❤@@tomland9293
Did you hear the album "live in Japan" yet? Best live preformans of Deep Purple, Space trucking ...Jhon Lord you"ll love it
I played in bands my whole life and I can tell that you would be fun to do that with. I love how you totally get into it and notice all of it. This is a totally different kind of music, but it was popular around the same time on the radio, and I love this whole album Machine Head that I like all kinds of music. For some reason watching you bounced around, I think you would really get off on how funky and I don't know just how incredibly cool this early Stevie Wonder song is, it's kind of different than all his rest and he's almost affecting his voice like he's slurring his words like he's drunk or something. It's just so perfect a sound. Here is a link to the album cut which is identical to the radio cut only the radio cut chops out the last maybe 30 or 40 seconds at least where he does this amazing jamming on the slow fade. It's so important to the song. And I did hear it this way on the radio some but I also heard the shorter version a lot. So this link is to the full studio cut.

You might be interested to know they wrote this song in a day. They were in an interview when asked how they write a song and they came up with backbone of the song. Went to rehearsal showed the other guys and performed the song live that night!
I like Purple but knew some fanatics. Great reaction!
That's pretty incredible 💜
Ritchie blackmore's guitar solo was so Iconic
Gracias Millie preciosa, por apreciar el verdadero talento, puro y nato!!
Shreding!!!!
Great reaction! --- When I used to play my 8 track tape of this in my 1969 Chevelle SS 396 it could at times be difficult to not press down on the skinny peddle. The song always wanted me to wind it out. It was still the same when driving my 1973 Dodge Challenger 340 after blowing up the engine in my Chevelle. No, I didn't lay off the skinny peddle enough in the Chevelle and wound her out one too many times. The 70's were so much fun in so very many ways!
Thanks for reacting so honestly🤘❤️ i prob went into space when this first came out 😂😂 fav until you hear the keyboards from emerson lake and palmer
Hi from Ukraine. All Deep Purple's songs are hits.
Agreed hi from American
Hello Ukraine, pleased you like British rock. Love from England
This is the very definition of "dance like nobody's watching" - on a RUclips channel, no less! Loved it! 😍
Millie rocking out. Fantastic!
The keyboard player's name is John Lord, he passed away a few years ago. Deep Purple is One of my Big favorite Bands of all time, and this Album Machine Head released in 1972 is a Masterpiece!! Thank You for reacting this Legend Band.
Jon Douglas Lord RIP
🎹 awesome reaction to this golden oldie banger 🎸 keep rocking!!
R.I.P. Jon Lord on keyboards.
love it
If you really want to enjoy yourself, react to the entire "Deep Purple: In Rock" album. Your first time will only happen once. I envy you.
MILLIE,
Purple was another one of those bands from England, that rock your face off and melted your brain.. They along with several other bands liked and used a Hammond Organ. These instruments had/have a distinct sound... Purple was one of the MANY rock bands around as I was growing up. Their biggest song & one you must jam too, is "Smoke on the Water." Darn good tune! Another is "My woman from Tokyo".. You'll LOVE them... And lastly, I want to - must tell you thank you for exploring music in this time period... Take care lovely lady AND stay safe!
I have an answer to your keyboard question. His name is Jon Lord.
Deep Purple are doing some shows now. Several in South America and a few in Europe... Mean time, you rock on lady --- ROCK & ROLL...... I adore your energy!!!!
Some more Purple songs --- Hush, Burn, and Child in Time...... Get down girl!
Machine Head is one of THE milestones of rock music absolutely no doubt.
For keys, try from the same album,Lazy.
Superb Jon Lord..
If you get pulled over for speeding, but you can prove you were listening to this song when it happened, you should just get a warning but no fine.
'72 and 17, I was rockin' to this! Jon Lord really excels on the Hammond. At one time known as the loudest rock band to exist! "Nobody's gonna take your Jon". 🤣
Keith Emerson (R.I.P.) - ELP band, Jo Skrzek (SBB polish band), really great keyboard players.
Congratulations! You have discovered the greatest band in the world, EVER. The best thing is that they are still touring and still making new fabulous music🤩
you are absolutely right, I have seen it this year during the DP live show in Solo Indonesia, it was amazing. DP is the greatest true rock band has ever of the world.
Can't count how many miles I've put in with this song playing!
How many tickets is the question with those miles.
@@RobertBreedon-c3b LOL 😆!
I love how the guitar solo stopped you from dancing. Twice.
Hi millie, loved your reaction.
Another great keyboard player that you should hear his ray manzarek from the "doors" , the extented version of "light my fire" is a instrumental masterpiece.
Jon Lord is the keyboardist, and he is elite!
Guitarist Richie Blackmore. One of Eddie Van Halen's guitar heroes. ...that says it all.
I started playing keyboards around 8 years old, and Jon Lord has always been my favorite ever since. That’s over 50 years ago. ✌🏼😎
Me too
Millie
You have to be careful driving and listening to Highway Star because you might get a speeding ticket.......lol
"might" has nothing to do with it. It's a fundamental law of the universe like gravity. ;)
I watched this reaction last year or even in 2021. One of my favorite songs as I'm a child of the 70's.
Deep Purple 💜 3 top bands in the world 🌎 RIP Jon Lord 🙏
He is a great keyboard player along with Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer and Rick Wakeman from Yes. Those were the 3 best keyboard players from the 70's.
Richie, in his time, was above and beyond "SHREDDING" who is able to contest this???
Exactly how I reacted when I first heard it - I was twelve!
Suggest that you check out "Come Hell or High Water" and Strange Kind of Women. Also check out ELP!!
Richie Blackmore is the lead guitarist. Jimi Hendrix idolized him, and copied a lot of his stuff. John Lord played the Hammond organ. He was also amazing.
Funny.. . I did the same thing when I first saw em in 1973. Machine Head is one of the best albums ever.
His name is John Lord, and I was 5 years old at the time, I really liked the concert)
It's amazing to see a young person like you get into the acid rock the heavy rock I love your reactions thanks
Legend has it that while travelling on their tour bus a reporter asked them how they go about writing a song. Skipping the long explanation, they wrote Highway Star right there in the bus. Later that night they played it live during their gig. Since you asked, Jon Lord is/was their keyboard player.
Tour bus to Prysmouth when they were asked by the press on the bus how they went about writing a song.
To me as a Keyboard player this is their Best Song😎
Yeah what willyboy3011 said...."the dancing machine" aka "Millie" had me LMAO !!! great reaction to a great song from a great album
You really need to give Keith Emerson a listen.
The band who made me play guitar 🎸
This girl needs some Skynyrd in her life
Jon Lord, that was the master....
Thanks for uploading this video. I recommend others as well!
This song will really get your blood flowing. Still a staple on classic rock stations.
Don't drive while playing this song in your car.
Ritchie and Jon usually solo on most of their songs, so try another. 'Lazy' is a good one.
You simply must do the BBC live version of Child in Time. Jon Lord at his very best on his cut down Hammond P3 organ. The notes hit by Ian Gillan are out of this world. Add in Ian Paice on drums, Roger Glover on bass guitar and the legend himself, Ritchie Blackmore on lead guitar. It is from their 1970 album Deep Purple in Rock.
❤ millie. Warms the ❤️ keeping the 70’s alive. Rock on millie. Rock is lagging. Please dive deep and write some rock songs so folks will remember the 2000’s
Skynyrd , Free Bird, Knebworth 76
Jon Lord, although he passed away almost 11 years ago, is a legendary keyboard player, ,along with Keith Emmerson and many others. He put his Hammond through that Marshal amp and created a sound that is almost impossible to recreate nowadays...of course his skills were like "god mode"....
That was the legendary Deep Purple Mk II you saw and listened to there and that is the opening track from the Machine Head album (1972). If you wanna "dive" more in Deep Purple, listen to the Fireball album. Actually, every album will be good to listen to! 🤣
P.S.: Here's another awesome version ruclips.net/video/xl6rNOmkajU/видео.html
Emmerson, oh yeah, Emmerson, Lake and Palmer were so good.
@@willieboy3011 The epitome of prog rock ruclips.net/video/WKNOlDtZluU/видео.html
The story behind this song is interesting as well it was written in about 15 minutes on the tour bus on their way to the next show and performed that night. This song is incredibly dangerous to listen to in the car as it can result in many speeding tickets.
Awe ! I wish you would have done the live version from the Made in Japan album !
Made in Japan is in my opinion the best live Album ever recorded
Absolutely!
@@UweChardon That and The Song Remains the Same by Zeppelin.
Hehe, youre great! 😅. Greetings from Gothenburg Sweden.
If you like keyboards try their song "Lazy".
Ooh Ya!

Omg I love cats 💜💜💜💜
Te sugiero escuchar a The Warning...Tres hermanas de Monterrey, MX.

If you haven't seen Yes 2017 Hall Of Fame induction doing Roundabout and maybe you might change your mind about favorite keyboardist when you see Rick Wakeman?
I do not hear this song on the highway.
Because I step on the gas pedal too much.😁
Unfortunately, Jon Lord passed away in 2012.
But the music he left behind will always remain.
Deep Purple is right up with the elite of the rock bands.
No filters here just pure band sound, no gimmicks as in todays shit music.
Your so fun to watch
You certainly reacted to the band, it was fun to watch.
Greetings from Oregon. Phido my 24 year old cat thinks Kieth Emerson is better. But we won't argue. Happy Easter
Hey,,, Milliemobichi , where are you from? I love deep purple highway star and I am going to play this song with my band. from Korea!!
Before you lock down your number one spot, take care to not do it too soon. You should first check out Rick Wakeman and Keith Emerson, who played with Yes and ELP respectively. Those are not the only bands they played in but they are probably the ones that they are best known for. Wakeman also has a substantial number of solo albums and is still working. Emerson is dead. Suicide after a debilitating illness prevented him from playing.
Another Best on keyboard is Keith Emerson with his Band Emerson, Lake and Palmer. And another excellent gitar player you have to listen to is Jeff Beck.
The keyboard player is the late Jon Lord.
Millie sei grande!!!!!!!!!
Masterpiece for all time! Thanks for the reaction!
