Ехааа, много готино сравнение! Да, и мен ме изненада яркостта при Honor Band 5, и като цяло Honor гривните са изключително добре направени. Много жалко, че няма SPO2 при Xiaomi, но пък това е по-скоро не толкова важен елемент. Със сигурност ще се появят много различни циферблати - спомням си, че за Ми Банд 4 бяха изобретили софтуер за windows чрез който да си компилираш свой собствен. Така че - ще има още много. @@harjapbura5762 charging a lion battery lower than 20 % and above 80% drastically shortens the battery lifespan. It is worse to keep on charging at 100%. So charging the mi band everyday has no sense but degrading the battery

Blood pressure will be a very expensive feature if you want something decent. Right now only the Galaxy Watch series have it. Sounds like you want something from 2022 or 2023 😊
Thanks. Honestly all those crazy features you mentioned is overkill. I think smart watch can have ambient tracker, barometer but a band is supposed to be a simpler smaller one. I am happy with sleep/steps tracking/heart rate. :)
You stayed you bought the chines version too. How good is the blood oxygen sensor? Is it still pressed, how does it look up in the app and is it worth to buy the chines version for it?
I have the mi band 5 and like it! Have a question - The numbers on the screen when you use the outdoor running option are very small and hard to see at a quick glance when you are out running. Is there an app or face that will sync with the Xiaomi app but show larger numbers on the screen, especially the stop watch element?
There's no such app that I am aware of. Good to check with XIaomi's support - this will at least point their attention towards developing such an option.

I can get 9 days and 10% battery left. When reach 10%, it will remind you to charge the band. I swith on the features. Sleep tracker, heart beat detection every 10 minutes, lift to wake up screen, step tracker, auto saving during sunset to sunrise. Brightness level 3. Custom facewatch.
Battery worsened a lot compared to mi band 2 which can last a month. I guess due to heavy software and more functionality. But did Xiaomi already fix its bad LCD? I know 2 and 3 screen have screen issue. How about mi band 5?

Make sure it is well placed on the wrist and that the feature is enabled in the app. if it still doesn't work - likely the sensor is faulty so better check with the shop you bought it from.

Got mine today. Two annoying things. Wore a rainjacket and combination jacket/wet weather stopped the tracking 4 times. The other thing is not being able to access the music controll while tracking workouts. I mean.. WTF! If there is one time it would be most helpfull to have easy access to that, it would be when I am working out.
Ha, that thing with the music control is a bummer, didn't think of it while shooting and you are totally right. As for the jacket - bad news :( I often test this during football sessions with gloves and while some bands do as you say, I cannot recall issues with the Mi Band 5 of that type. Guess I was lucky.
@@TechMishka Smart alarm lets you wake up during a light sleep cycle. So you set a time window, usually 30 minutes before your normal wake up time, and the alarm will wake you up as soon as it detects you are in light sleep during those 30 minutes. It's amazing, because basically you are already awake when the alarm starts, so you feel way less sleepy compared to being forcefully ripped out of a deep sleep phase. Tracking sleep is nice, but the real benefits come with smart alarm.
It feels like the Mi band lost it's hype, the 4 was awesome for sure but I noticed it came to the point that people don't really care that much and many of my friends that had the 4, switched to smartwatches. It seems like Xiaomi didn't have much to improve here, it is a great fitness tracker but with the little improvements (considerably ) they did make, the battery suffered a lot! still, they promise 14 days, and even with the 6 you got, it's better than most of the smartwatches (I'm excluding here the other Xiaomi ones since I didn't have the opportunity to play with them enough). I think the more important thing now should be, how fast can it charge to 100%, if it's not something too long, than so be it. For me, as a Google lover, and not someone who does much sports, I'll stick with my Fossil 5 (I know it's not comparable here but still) I have to say, I watched a couple of videos on the Mi band 5, most of them were boring since the 5 doesn't bring much new things to the table, but you successfully made this video fun and interesting to watch, thank you!
I mean what much can they do for still budget price? I dont even know what they can upgrade in mi band 6 if there is one, maybe spo2. It is still very cheap but good fitness tracker for people who dont want expensive smart watches.
I've got this like a week after it was released. When you hear 6 days, you think that "holy shit, I'm going to have to recharge this like a mf" but it's not really that bad. I cycle outdoors two to three times a week, use the tracking non-stop and kinda have everything it can do turned on and it gets by the week. Bonus points: it charges really really quick, in under one hour and a half. Most average users will be happy with the battery life. Just make sure you set the screen dim after the sunset and fiddle a bit with the settings and you'll be pleased with what you can do with it. I know I am, lol
Before I always wondered if it makes sense for an athlete or anyone to get a cheap fitness watch with readouts similar to the premium ones but whose accuracy is way far off. I realized later fitness tracker watch brands have their own home-grown metrics. 6,000-step count on one brand will not be the same count on other brands. Ergo, stick to one fitness watch brand for consistency - be it accuracy or inaccuracy of data.
That's by the way an outstanding suggestion! Very true that there are some deviations from vendor to vendor. But most of the devices lately have very similar results.
I don't say there is SPO2 - and the more I get to know about the Mi Band 5 - it doesn't seem to have such in the international version. As for the barometer - looks like not being used in a separate mode. You can try some of the walking activities and see if there is any altitude info.
6 days of battery life is the only downside of this product - Software / User Interface get a very nice overhauling comparing Mi Band 4 - so now user don’t need to remove the band from the rubber strap right ? So they knew beforehand during designing that it will last only 6/7 days of charge hens they put the charging pin at the bottom. Nearly two months of Battery Life reduced to days...
my expectations about the screen I thought they update the full display screen following the round edge band...and they still used same rectangle display design

Don't think you can make the NFC usable. As for Notify and fitness - I used to show it with previous generations, but it is something that mostly attracts enthusiasts...
Because of so many great reviews, I'm wondering whether mine is defective, because I find the step tracking a disaster. My Mi band 5 won't start to count step before about 30 steps in a row, and will also have trouble counting steps when walking slowly. As a result, despite being very active in my home, it will not take into account my moving around. It's as if I'm remaining static all morning, while I move to the bathroom, the kitchen, do the laundry, etc... And yesterday in the office, no step count when moving to the coffee machine or to meeting rooms. Quite useless and disappointing. because otherwise I love the look of the band and its other features, but its primary function should be to track steps. No such issue with my previous honor 4, or even before with a first gen Fitbit band.
Sleep tracking is something that depends a lot on the HR tracking - meaning that the strap has to be tight on your wrist and not loose. As for steps counting - sometimes the tracker counts them without the measurements to be reflected on the display immediately. YOu can count about 100-200 steps and see if the number will change. If it still doesn't work - could be that there's something not right with the sensors.
Nah, I'm with the Honor One. Who can wait for delay swipes, even if is little time? Honor is really smooth and have everything. Yea, i love to see some adjustments to default green-ish screens on honor, Mi is colorful.. but it not breaks me. i see (from video) some nice updates, but is not worth to double the price at all, xiaomi only find to easy money... Where SpO2, Xiaomi? as i understand is very easy to embed. is nothing more then algorithm based Heart rate, come on... how is bluetooth connection for you on honor? Mine is pretty bad, I have to reconnect it at least 3 times a day and it loses connection even if my phone is next to me so the distance between the band and phone is like 20 cm. And if I move away from my phone and it loses connection it never reconnects by itself when I get closer again, I have to do it myself. Other than that it is ok but it is frustrating.

The Global one supports more languages, has no aliexpress payment options and has english letters on the package.
Assuming you shower everyday, you could charge it every-time you have one, therefore you would not need to worry about battery life.

Get about the same battery life. Some people say that disabling PAI will increase the battery life a lot.

I have the app with another watch and it is pretty stable. Both trackers are great.

It seems like Xiaomi didn't have much to improve here, it is a great fitness tracker but with the little improvements (considerably ) they did make, the battery suffered a lot! still, they promise 14 days, and even with the 6 you got, it's better than most of the smartwatches (I'm excluding here the other Xiaomi ones since I didn't have the opportunity to play with them enough).
I think the more important thing now should be, how fast can it charge to 100%, if it's not something too long, than so be it.
For me, as a Google lover, and not someone who does much sports, I'll stick with my Fossil 5 (I know it's not comparable here but still)
I have to say, I watched a couple of videos on the Mi band 5, most of them were boring since the 5 doesn't bring much new things to the table, but you successfully made this video fun and interesting to watch, thank you!
I mean what much can they do for still budget price? I dont even know what they can upgrade in mi band 6 if there is one, maybe spo2. It is still very cheap but good fitness tracker for people who dont want expensive smart watches.

I've been exited about every release since the Band 2 but this one isn't worth the upgrade to be honest.
If you have Mi Band 4 - then it is questionable whether it is a decent upgrade. But the jump from Mi Band 2 and 3 is quite serious.

Go for the newer edition.
I've got this like a week after it was released. When you hear 6 days, you think that "holy shit, I'm going to have to recharge this like a mf" but it's not really that bad. I cycle outdoors two to three times a week, use the tracking non-stop and kinda have everything it can do turned on and it gets by the week. Bonus points: it charges really really quick, in under one hour and a half. Most average users will be happy with the battery life. Just make sure you set the screen dim after the sunset and fiddle a bit with the settings and you'll be pleased with what you can do with it. I know I am, lol

A fantastic choice for a first mi Band.
Before I always wondered if it makes sense for an athlete or anyone to get a cheap fitness watch with readouts similar to the premium ones but whose accuracy is way far off. I realized later fitness tracker watch brands have their own home-grown metrics. 6,000-step count on one brand will not be the same count on other brands. Ergo, stick to one fitness watch brand for consistency - be it accuracy or inaccuracy of data.
That's by the way an outstanding suggestion! Very true that there are some deviations from vendor to vendor. But most of the devices lately have very similar results.

I don't say there is SPO2 - and the more I get to know about the Mi Band 5 - it doesn't seem to have such in the international version. As for the barometer - looks like not being used in a separate mode. You can try some of the walking activities and see if there is any altitude info.

6 days of battery life is the only downside of this product - Software / User Interface get a very nice overhauling comparing Mi Band 4 - so now user don’t need to remove the band from the rubber strap right ? So they knew beforehand during designing that it will last only 6/7 days of charge hens they put the charging pin at the bottom. Nearly two months of Battery Life reduced to days...

Don't think you can make the NFC usable.
As for Notify and fitness - I used to show it with previous generations, but it is something that mostly attracts enthusiasts...
Because of so many great reviews, I'm wondering whether mine is defective, because I find the step tracking a disaster. My Mi band 5 won't start to count step before about 30 steps in a row, and will also have trouble counting steps when walking slowly.
As a result, despite being very active in my home, it will not take into account my moving around. It's as if I'm remaining static all morning, while I move to the bathroom, the kitchen, do the laundry, etc...
And yesterday in the office, no step count when moving to the coffee machine or to meeting rooms.
Quite useless and disappointing. because otherwise I love the look of the band and its other features, but its primary function should be to track steps.
No such issue with my previous honor 4, or even before with a first gen Fitbit band.
Sleep tracking is something that depends a lot on the HR tracking - meaning that the strap has to be tight on your wrist and not loose.
As for steps counting - sometimes the tracker counts them without the measurements to be reflected on the display immediately. YOu can count about 100-200 steps and see if the number will change.
If it still doesn't work - could be that there's something not right with the sensors.

how is bluetooth connection for you on honor? Mine is pretty bad, I have to reconnect it at least 3 times a day and it loses connection even if my phone is next to me so the distance between the band and phone is like 20 cm. And if I move away from my phone and it loses connection it never reconnects by itself when I get closer again, I have to do it myself. Other than that it is ok but it is frustrating.
