- Jimmy Ellis won all four rounds of the 1975 Yamaha Super Series, now known as the Monster Energy Supercross Championship.
This video includes footage form the 1975 Super Bowl of Motocross, a classic race in the LA Coliseum.
Ellis was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2012. This video was produced and edited by We Went Fast.

I was there with my Dad for the Superbowl of motocross, rooting for Jimmy Ellis. I think I still have the program for the evening.
75 LA Colliseum was just a hell of a televised event. So many of the sport's stars were in that event, and they were in their prime. The sport really reached a peak on that night.
I remember watching him every weekend at the NESC MX races, he was light years ahead of everyone , he showed the rest of us what was possible and made the rest better.
Jimmy was a New England kid and was the local hero. Few could stay with him.
Thanks for posting this. I remember watching him race at Appalachia Lake WV in maybe 75 (things get fuzzy after awhile). Cheers
