Let me recommend a book called "Das Tägliche Training". It contains all the major and minor scales. And another trick to remember, whether you're just starting out or already play like a squirrel: Set the metronome to a slow tempo, slow enough so nothing can go wrong, then repeat the same exercise with a tempo just one unit faster. Repeat until about 50% of the notes sound "Pfft!" then back off the metronome almost back to where you begun. It may seem tedious, but the results will be seen and heard. I use this method for everything that's difficult for me, and it helps me through it.
When I was a young teenager, I spent hours every day practicing. From the moment I got home from school until bedtime I practiced. Of course I didn’t do very well in school 🤯
Good tips as usual... great playing as usual! Knowing your affinity for a certain "Queen" riff... have you heard Queen I & II...? Lots of excellent riffs to be found there.
E.. thanks for the tips,at 63' my hands aren't what thy used to be, scaling has always been fun to me.. Frankism(it's not the amount of notes but the quality of the notes)
When Chuck Norris tries to bend the note, Elmo shows up to show him how it's done. Allmän begäran: det ryktas from nu att du arrangerar stor fest i Turku när du når 40k prenumeranter. Mäktigt 🤗. I övrigt: mycket bra råd. Det handlar alltid om sammanhang. Det gjorde du bra. 👌😊
Sweet guitar bro.. Great lesson man, your chops are second to nonya. I personally needed it myself...so thank you Elmo Please check out the "Mooer Prime 1" .... Have you seen this thing?!
Great tips sir. Very good. So you have a zero fret on that guitar? It looks like you do? I'm also wondering if you had to do much work to get that two points bridge installed on a 6 point original trem route I take it ? I ask because I'm building a strat. The ultimate guitar for me. Jap strat body with 6 point trem. Decked to the body basically. It has 3 EMG SAs because I hate single coil noise, but love the tone. So I get the best of both worlds with more sustain, etc. more gain. So now I'm just going to order a warmorh neck with stainless narrow tall frets for intonation and may scallop the last few frets. Might change the bridge pickup to an EMG Humbucker like the 89 which can work both as a humbucker and single coil because it has two preamps I believe . The EMG 89. 💪 Anyway. Hope all is well. Great practice and motivating exercises for especially beginners. I wish I'd had this info when I started. I had to learn slowly the hard way. Regards my friend. ♥️🤘♥️
@@MrPolevaulter Zero fret is a fret that is next to the nut that the strings don't touch until you barre a chord or something, but supposed to help with sustain, etc. Google it if you've not heard of it. It's supposed to work well.. ♥️🤘
@@MrPolevaulter thank you for replying. After playing guitar for 10 years. I'm thinking of getting my 1st electric guitar and amplifier. Your channel hepl me alot. I am thinking of buying these gear, Which one do you think is better, for guitar Yamaha 112j or Cort X300 and for Amplifier Boss Katana Mk II or Marshall Dsl 1cr ? .. it would be really helpful if you could advise me on this. Thank you again.. 😇

Thank you sensei!🙏
Thank you 😊
The scalloped fingerboard shouldn’t distract me on the fingerings but it does. That’s my problem though - great vid!
Thanks!
Another great vid.

Elmo. Do you have a course that starts a total noob on his rock/metal lead guitar journey? You are a great teacher. Just need a clear path?… thanks
Thanks. Sorry, I don't :( I do have something for people who are a bit further than complete beginners.
Elmo... what about practicing our guitar playing face? After all, image is everything ;)

Zero fret?
I had it custom built, so I don't know how much work went into it.

Great lesson again... Any suggestions on mastering the fretboard?
Practice, Practice, and Practice...
Yeah, what Dean said. Practice scales vertically and horisontally helps.

How can i make my hand more flexible so i can use my pinky finger?
Stretching. But be careful not to hurt yourself.
