Why is it difficult to tell your higher ranking officers about an officer who doesn't belong on the force it sounds more like things don't want to be listened to

A group of officers with the intent of running a clean present would know how to encourage bad officers in to removing themselves from the precinct on their own accord. The only way that could happen is that the serious officers who are really geared towards public service outnumber the I don't cares and the I can't wait to get my hands on a citizen style of officers

If you have the right elected official and you bring them solid proof of a claim and believe you me if there's bad officers out there you can set them up to commit their crimes and Wrongdoings on camera they're not smart good upstanding elected officials would handle their department virtually overnight I've seen it

Blaming the media for things cops get caught doing on camera is an error. Part of the fear and resentment is the fact that far too many people fail to place the blame where it belongs - on the police that abuse their authority - and the failure of our society to hold them accountable.

The point is basically the media only reports the crappy stuff. We only get to see bad policing because that’s all the media will show. And I agree. Instead of watching the news to see the next unfair police action, watch your community for what the real consequences of having a police presence is. Judge for yourself. Not what the media or the angry neighbour has to say.

    • @TarqPick
      @TarqPick 4 года назад

@@MASS1866 I think it depends on which media you're watching, Darrell. I think it's also our responsibility as self-proclaimed "informed citizens" to take news stories at face value and do any actual research on our own.
They're telling us about one shooting or one good cop. That's simply meant to inform us of the event. If we want to have informed opinions, we need to inform ourselves.
That's OUR responsibility, Darrell, not theirs.

We were in my friends driveway in front of his house. This same cop then went on to get promoted and moved up the system in Van Nuys police department in california.

And what is "unchartable" is the good cops. The media is only reiterating what we've all witnessed with out own eyes and have personally experienced. Don't blame the media. In fact there was a Windcrest officer that claimed the story about the SAPD officer putting poop in a burger and feeding it to a homeless man was something the media made up and that the police never do that. It's on public record that he did this and was fired. The cop just lied and accused the media of making up a story. I was shocked by his statement, but I guess I shouldn't be.

A platform that has only existed for a relatively short period of time, and those are only the incidents where the victims were lucky enough to have captured them on camera.
And the reason you have a bad reputation isn't because of the media. It's because of the actions of your fellow officers. The media can't report on something that doesn't happen.

It sounds like you are the one drinking the Kool-Aid to me. 1. Police investigate themselves, They defend that practice tooth and claw. Why? 2. Police are rarely held personally accountable for their law breaking. If there are any consequences it is invariably much less punishment than had any other citizen who performed the criminal act and tax payers are asked to pay any settlement. Why? Hint" see 1. So your answer is it's because the higher ups are corrupt, you know the one's doing the cover up, er I mean investigation. So what do you do Mr. Good Cop? You quit in protest that's what you do. No one cares if you have had "words" with the bad cop, no one cares if you've tried writing memo's to the chain of command. What people do care about is that when you see a cop commit unjust and illegal acts that you do not do the same thing you would do to anyone else, arrest them. People are tired of the separate system for cops. While anyone else would be sitting in a cell the worst a cop will see is an internal investigation, aka joke, with the result being: unfounded, case closed.
What people care about is that when a cop beats the shit out of someone for not moving fast enough to satisfy them it is called a justified use of fo is rce, and the actual victim is prosecuted for one or more contempt of cop charges.
What people care about is the abomination that "qualified immunity" has become. What people care about is the prosecutors misuse of grand juries to protect bad cops.
What people care about is that when a cop's actions can't be swept under the rug it is not a matter of arrest and prosecution, it a race to resign before firing so the cop can move on to the next department. People that commit crimes should be prosecuted not just fired.
What people care about is that when a cop does actually get prosecuted it is a reduced charge and the sentences are ridiculous.
What people care about is that cop unions have become criminal protection organizations. Cop unions don't care about facts or right and wrong, they care about protecting cops no matter what.
There are an innumerable list of incidents where there is absolutely no doubt cops should be in prison for a very, very long time, but they're not. They're still patrolling in a cop car.
I will leave you with just what I believe is the most egregious of all. Kelly Thomas, murdered by Fullerton CA cops. Acquitted of all charges, because cops are special.

What is a bad cop? a bad cop is when a person is in a position of power who abuse his/her power to prey upon innocent people or someone who is in a position of power who thinks they are a good cop but blindly follow unconstitutional laws that they don't even know why they are enforcing cuz they're to stupid and arrogant to know better, all that power goes to their heads. what is a criminal? the word criminal use to mean when one person commits harm and violence to another, now these days the word criminal means when u disobey a politicians law. I don't respect law enforcement, i respect peace office cuz they're the ones who keep the peace and respect the American people and I feel sorry for the peace office because the bad cop r the ones who give good cops a bad name . law enforcers blindly follow order not having a conscience of their own not asking why they do what they do, most of them get a adrenaline rush and enjoyment of terrorizing people knowing that they can get away with it, as far as I'm concerned the Bill of Rights are still laws and police officers called themselves the law enforcement, what a joke. cops violates people's right all the time and they always get away with it. This is the country of we the people, not we the government, not we the corporation, not we the police, We the People. and they're will never be peace between people and police in less police stop harassing innocent people and escalating situation that don't need to be escalated and start respecting the people's rights and maybe the people will start respecting police and start arresting violent criminals and stop enforcing non victimless crimes. the beauty of what this country was founded on and the Constitution was that there is check and balance no laws there will be chaos, to many laws and Corruption is a time bomb of chaos just waiting to explode and right now the relationship between people and police is not balance police have way too much power and it needs to be taken away from them

I remember when I was a child We enjoyed seeing the cop that cruised our neighborhood .. I still remember his name..
He was there to keep us safe .. we enjoyed our encounters with him..
Unfortunately.. these days are gone.. political involvement pushing for assets, has destroyed that connection with the people..
Its unfortunately not the job description of a officer to protect neighborhoods, citizens or even your children..
Their job description is to inforce law.. That's it..
This is why people have no respect or disire to have any contact with police..
Local Police used to be cruising the neighborhood all the time so if something happened they were right there.
In the last 10 year's the only time I have noticed police in my neighborhood is when 6 cruisers chased 2 teens into our cul-de-sac jumped out of their cars and shot both kids dead..
Either we see the bad or we just don't see you at all..
To Protect and Serve needs to be #1 again.. But I doubt it.. there's just no profit in it..

time after time you see videos. not cnn not fox but videos of cops beating the crap out of someone. or they are walking up to people doing nothing wrong and starting crap with them to just violate their rights. cops love to violate peoples right over and over. when these same cops use bully tactics to get you to submit to them its not much better. walking down the street is not a reason to harass citizens into id checks.
if you want to know why they hate you then look in the mirror and ask yourself: how did i treat the last 10 people i pulled over?
did i treat them with respect and explain everything they had a question about??
most likely the answer is you treated the people like your day was going. so you walked up to the window and the person is nervous and only rolls down the window down a few inches. your irritated and then the im the one with the badge and you will respect my authority comes out. then you blame the civilian for getting pissed at your disrespectful ass. and of course you just have to make sure he understands your in charge. so the guy ends up arrested for a petty ticket at best all to stroke your damn ego. because your the one with the badge.
dont take a genious to realise why someone who sees everyday people killed or dragged off to jail by cops would be afraid of cops.
if your getting this response then you know the community dont trust you. and once they dont trust you your job just became 10 times harder. no one will help you with anything. nope i dont know who tic tic is and hes standing next to him smiling at you. and tic tic isnt gonna tell on himself.
put the blame where it belongs. if the crap wasnt happening the news cant report it now can they. and so many incidents dont make the news. like where 9 cops beat a handcuffed white male to death and not one new stationed even touched it. what did the police station do took the videos and deleted everyone of them they confiscated for evidence. so when you say oh we getting a bad rap i say its about damn time you opened your eyes and realise the bad rap is the people getting the crap kicked out of them by asshole cops. you know the ones who just decided to murder a handcuffed guy then destroy the evidence. this is why no one trust cops.

    No, no, no, no, no
Police misconduct and brutality are YOUR fault, it's LAW ENFORCEMENT'S fault, not the media's fault for covering it.
There are many things wrong with the media and their decision making. Quite frankly, it's getting worse.
However, don't you dare lie to the American public and claim it's blown out of proportion, and a figment of our imagination. Police officers' behavior has been despicable, and honestly, it seems to be contagious between individual officers.
Your reputation sucks because your reputation precedes you. The only way law enforcement is going to be purged is from the inside out. Your first inclination was right. We need the good officers to exterminate the deplorable behavior and/or the heinous officers' careers.
You deserve the contemptuous repute you've rightfully earned.

As I black male in Toronto, Canada and visited various Us states, I have experienced the racists attitudes by white cops. Why is a cop that lives in urban or suburban areas with friendly neighbourhood working in impoverished predominantly black neighbourhoods? Because not all profiling start of racist, but rather social status, then racial, then gang mentality. That is the problem that should be fixed.

how many of you would continue being cops if you faced the same penalties / fines and sentences you attempt to impose on the public. how long would you stay in law enforcement if you went to jail for the mistakes you make or for the laws you break ?
you CHOSE the job. nobody held a gun to your head and FORCED you to become a cop. you have free will and your choice is on full display. there are far more noble causes to serve your fellow man.
this is not the media's fault - this is a patterned behavior of police dept's that is documented by the media. so you're saying it wouldn't be wrong if nobody knew about it ? are you related to any of the clintons ?
when the police CAN be trusted - they WILL be trusted, but as long as cops are not convicted for the same crimes ( and worse ) as the general public, there will be NO trust because our trust has not been EARNED.
you are willfully / by choice and for personal revenue, imposing the will of a corrupt state and government on the people you are sworn to protect and paid to SERVE . serve does not mean to rule or lord over.
you are sworn to enforce law and you don't KNOW THE LAW. you loosely use words like justice and you can't even define justice. you are sworn to protect the rights of the public and in fact the public has to hire legal assistance to protect themselves and DEFEND their rights from the police....who again are enforcing the will of a tyrannical , corrupt state.
when a cop can RUN OVER AND KILL a man on a bicycle- in a bicycle lane - and not even be indicted because its " legal for cops to use electronic devices " while operating their vehicles - we have what's called a double standard. as long as there is a double standard that excuses police - there won't be ANY trust. it's called hypocrisy.
save your bullshit attempt at altruism and excuses.
and before you start .......my grandfather was a cop for 40 years. he didn't treat people the way you neo nazi, knuckle dragging, mouth breathing murder suspects treat people today - and he certainly didn't try to make excuses. he was a servant of the people not an extension of a fascist state that was solely interested in stealing the wages of working - otherwise honest people.
the really, really, really scary part is - just like every other tyrant in history, you have convinced yourself that you are right. that your mission is just and the will of the tyrants is obviously more valuable to you than the condition of your fellow men. enforcing tyranny is apparently more important that conscience. added to that - a gun and the support of a corrupt state.
if you oppose the corruption of the police dept, but you can't stop the corruption of the police dept, you can at least not assist the police dept with their corruption and spend your efforts supporting a corrupt state for your living wage. you have a choice. it's on display.

Dominick Izzo LoL...like you need a law degree to be able to read simple statutes. Perhaps, if you’d ever read one yourself, you’d know how plainly worded (and thereby easy to interpret) they are.
That reply shows very clearly the attitude with which you operate...that somehow 6 months at the police academy made you and your brethren some type of legal scholar in your own right. You can rest assured that anyone that’s ever had any type of police encounter, or (gasp!) even just witnessed a few via internet/RUclips video, can clearly see that you badged dummies are incredibly far from that. Hell, more often than not, the vast majority of you dolts don’t seem to have a true understanding of even the most basic concepts of law...or at least pretend not to as you eagerly attempt to violate people’s rights in exactly the way that the OP mentioned specifically and you dodged so clumsily.
The only thing your reply truly proves is that you’re not simply a sillygoose...you’re just a plain old dick. Perhaps the reason you believe that it’s such a minute percentage of cops that are bad is because you are one of those bad cops yourself. You know, that goes around lying to people about the law and their rights as you DEMAND ID or information that you have no more than a legal right to REQUEST...and the citizen has zero obligation to provide. The type that threatens those very same people with arrest or needlessly places them in handcuffs and calls in a few buddies to rifle through people’s vehicles and/or possessions in clear violation of the 4th Amendment. The type that gets an adrenaline charge and takes some liberties with someone that has made a mistake, or is even a rotten old criminal of the worst kind, as you take them into custody. The type that makes retaliatory “contempt of cop” arrests, or writes silly tickets, because you didn’t like someone’s appearance, attitude or whatever the case may be. You know the type I’m talking about...the type that you and all of your “brothers” have been trained to be as you took to the streets to “punish” all of the bad guys. Uh-oh...since you’ve now hit the streets you’ve realized you’re too stupid to decipher who exactly is the “bad guy”. Oh well, Constitution and morality be damned, I have a job to do...I’ll just treat EVERYONE as a bad guy until I sort it all out.
The reality is, most of you are overly aggressive, overly fed, overly paid, useless dunderheads on a power trip. It’s not the media’s fault that the reputation of the police is dogshit. It’s the awful and abusive behavior, and the willful ignorance on the part of police, that has created this problem. You’ve brought it on yourselves...as your asshole reply here clearly illustrates.
      That being said...go fuck yourself.

So you are saying we assume that there is a swarm of bad cops out there? Is that like when cops assume that everyone is a suspect until proven innocent even when there is no crime? I am a white male and I witness police violence on a regular basis. Cops like to assert their authority and intimidate everyone they come in contact with, even if the citizen approaches them with a question. I see it every day. Cops love to be aggressive and escalate the situation so they can take a person down hard to prove to the other cops that they are badasses. If you call yourself a good cop then you should and every other cop should be trying to de-escalate every situation, but that is not the case is it. Cops just don't know the law or the constitution. It is a fallacy when the department hires stupid people and gives them a badge and a gun without first making sure they know the law by heart and the Constitution. I don't assume shit, I see it with my own eyes. Cops are the only people that lose their fan base by the hundreds every day. If a cop doesn't scold or stop every aggressive cop that tries to be a billy badass bully then he himself is a bad cop. Protect and serve is meant for the people, not your dirty cops. Maybe if more of you realized that you would get more respect. If someone that hasn't committed a crime Don't want to talk to you or flips you off then go on down the road. We don't have to engage with you. It is not your job to engage law-abiding citizens, it is your job to protect and serve law abiding citizens. If it hurts your feeling because people don't want to be your friends or respect you it is because of another officer's actions toward them. Don't act like half the force isn't on a power trip. Look at me I got a gun and a badge and you will respect me or you will go to jail for public disturbance and resisting arrest, that is the cops goto line when they don't really have a charge, not to mention the innocent people that have been put in jail on those very charges because the cop didn't feel like he was getting the respect he felt like he deserved.. The times I have listened to that being said to people that have done nothing wrong at all. They just didn't want to talk to the cop. I got nothing against good cops, but then again I have never seen a good cop. If there was just one good cop on every police force then there would be no bad cops at all. The problem is with law enforcement. You get what you give it is a scientifically proven fact.

That said the shootings are not the only problem. People get demonized by police and brought in for stuff they didn't do and brutally harassed. There's many many other issues. Many people have had their lives ruined by false allegations and the prosecution and cops will continue to pursue cases they know they are wrong on just to win. They'll ruin an innocent person's life just to not lose or look like they did wrong. They'll fabricate or plant whatever they need to as well. The corruption is extensive and is the norm. A good cop is the exception. Show me a good honest cop with a good moral compass and I'll show you a fricken unicorn.

He just concealed carry without a permit he gets arrested and thrown in jail for carrying his private property a certain way without the government's permission. why is it that people have to prove they are innocent to carry a gun they paid for when they have done nothing wrong. conceal carry law will not stop the real criminals conceal carry laws will only affect law-abiding citizens. so I will say this again. All cops blindly follow unconstitutional laws they are blue pilled pigs who think they are doing something good and they always used the same excuse "I'm just doing my job" or "I'm just following orders" they don't care about the people they care about being in power

Couple years ago my best friend and I got drunk. We got into an argument, he wanted to fight me, I left his truck, he tried to open his door and I pushed it shut 3 times. When I believed he was staying in the vehicle, I started walking away. I was half way though his yard, walking towards the street, away from him. He ran up behind me and punched the back of my head knocking me out unconscious. He continued to get on my back and punch my head. I woke up during the middle of this and started blocking my head. Shortly he got off my back and I got up and started walking away. When I made the police report, I was very confused in what happened and I did not remember what exactly happened. After the hospital, I had a broken nose from falling on the ground face first and mild TBI. The emotional things are worse because this guy was a good friend I've known for 20+ years, I was his best man at his wedding. Regardless the person was in the military, did tour or Iraq, and was working for homeland security. He was twice the size I am and I had no fighting experience. The police officer who wrote the report twisted all my words, put in the report I passed out, as if I was drinking too much, that I confronted my attacker and many other things. He wrote the report bias report. This hurt me the most because I wanted to believe in our justice system. Do you have any advice on this? Anything you can say towards police favorizing to other police or other service members?

Agreed Nelson. Police are out for the funand escalation of things. They actually go out stirring up trouble that did not exist before. And wearing miIitary camo and going to every minor call with assault rifles drawn. Excessive is an understatement. These cops are becoming bad. The people will not tolerate it much longer, that we can all see.

    A few ideas:
    1. Eliminate Police Unions
    2. Establish a citizen review board (not Internal Affairs) to really investigate all complaints against police officers.
    3. Require body cams
    4. Eliminate “contact” counts from performance evaluations.
    5. Require a bachelors degree in an associated field (law, psychology, social work, education, etc) for LEO’s
    6. Increase the pay for LEO’s to draw more qualified people into the field.
    7. Eliminate gypsy cops.
    8. End the drug war
    9. The “Us vs. Them” mentality needs to end. When the people respect the police, life is better for everyone. But the people need to understand the police will be held accountable by other officers for inappropriate or illegal behavior.

So it's not the cops killing people that are at fault, it's the media for exposing you guys. Spoken like a bad cop. Videos don't lie. It's not a unchartable fraction. There are thousands of videos of citizens being denied a complaint request, intimidated into not complaining, threatened with violence, and even arrested for reporting bad officers. It is not the exception, it is the rule. And for you to blame the community for bad officers is disgraceful. If this is how you feel, there a high probability you should not be a cop yourself.

What I have against cops is the premise that they're granted access to resources provided by civilians, and use said resources to coerce involuntary force upon said citizens.
I don't think all cops are racist, I don't believe in the common left-wing argument against cops. I'm firmly against the ineffective "War on Drugs" and the entire concept of the police force.

My wife was sexually harrased by a lieutenant. She resisted filing a complaint for a few months. Harassment came from a lieutenant who was also the supervisor of her watch. My wife confided in her "friend" about what was going on. Her friend, who by the way, told my wife that she was stupid for not accepting his advances because if she did "she could get anything she wanted", as far as preferential treatment goes! Now her "friend" goes to the lieutenant and tells the asshole what my wife has been saying about him to her. The retalition starts. No OT, being assigned to a substation instead of being rotated through like they normally do, Back-ups showing up late when she's on the road, bullying by other WOMEN OFFICERS! Literally pushing and shoving! My wife finally had enough and filed the complaint. Before she did that though she spoke with a female lieutenant at the academy that she was friends with. The female lieutenant told her that the evidence she has is enough but be prepared to be black-balled. She was already suffering the bullshit so that was easy to accept. She also had a seargant on her watch that helped out anonomously with physical evidence and sliding it under the investigators door when no one was around. It took a fucking year for the investigation to be done! A fucking year!! In the end they found that her complaint was justified and his punishment is "confidential". WTF!! The PD is rotten from the top fucking down! Filled with lap dogs incapable of thinking for themselves. Even the fucking women - THE FUCKING WOMEN! retaliated against her. How fucking retarded is that?! Her ally could only help her anonomously for fear of retaliation also. This is a systemic problem with ALL PDs. Why? Because it's filled with egotistical pricks and cunts incapable of thinking for themselves and too stupid to realize they are just lap dogs for the higher-ups. Badges and stripes give a false sense of entitlement to the weak-minded. I've dealt with it in the military and now my wife see's exactly what I was talking about as far as attitudesthat come with stripes and badges goes. I told her before she joined over five years ago how the attitudes will be and she now see's clear as day what I meant.
So, please, don't try to say the opinion of the people has been created by the kool-aid the media is shoveling.

i agree the police force and military just follow orders regardless if they're right or wrong and regardless if it destroys people's lives, and say they were just doing their job. How can they call themselves men or women and just take orders from another human being and not be able to say no that's wrong. They will do everything they're told even if they know it's evil and destroy families. Yet they're worshiped as hero's.

But even with my limited police contact I've found that 50% of cops I have dealt with are arrogant assholes. Bullies and intimidators.

Really I gave information about a huge family of Drug dealing meth cooks to what I thought was a good cop Miller Mo. Police Chief Joshua Lee Bruce and his Brother Clever Mo. Police Chief Randal Bruce. They used the information to take out the competition and were both recently arrested for multiple felonies in Christen and Lawrence County Mo. Fact: The former Police Chief for Miller Mo. Jacob Ray Shelton was just as corrupt ( now a convicted felon ) and an immediate family member of the drug dealing meth cooks I threw under the bus with his replacement. Shelton ran a family of three off the road well pointing a loaded Glock at them from the cab of his pickup truck in a road rage incident in which he was the aggressor. If a private citizen did that they would go to prison. He only got a 5 year suspended sentence for nearly killing a mom, dad and child. Try this on, one of the largest criminal families in the area is protected by law enforcement and the courts because the duchebag who controls it is a Sitting Elected Judge this same Judge told me if I continued testifying against his friends that I could easily end up a missing person in Lawrence County Mo. and they don't look for missing people in grave yards. He did say it was just a piece of friendly advice so I guess it dosent count as a threat from him. Until good cops as you claim to be throw the corruption of the bad Judges and cops under a train and start hemming them up how are we the people suppose to trust any of you. Keep up the good work but stop acting like it only happens in po dunk....I know dirty cops who use dope in Phoenix AZ. extort money from illegals in Sacramento Ca. even saw one dirty cop throw a homeless man into the American river in January well there was ice on the water. After I reported it I couldn't get back up on jack shit for a year. Big fake ass blue wall of we protect our own / us against them bull shit. I was 36 when I walked away because the Nazi thug cop problem became the norm. inforce the law on the people but do dirty and hide it for your fellow cops or you could be their next target. The best way to protect your rights today as a private citizen is record the police whos body and dash cameras somehow malfunction constantly.

This cop really almost had me fooled ,but its 1of2 things here weight is either on his heart or it really isn't and he's really trying to just con us people his actions explain everthing he pathetically tried to explain as the truth but will he quit and retire and fight back against this governmental organization from our side the right side now that he knows from a insider view what go's on and with whom hell no! Because he already knows that the u.s. government is the leader and has a Monopoly on violence and if you try to fight them you will lose.

Viewed from the UK, the US police are corrupt, violent, poorly educated, psychopathic and trigger happy. Sub standard compared to UK cops. I won't say racist, as I don't know what drives a cop to commit a serious crime against people, but only the result. Compared to say UK, or Swedish, or Australian police, your police are trigger happy, corrupt cowboys, yeehah. Yes I agree there must be good cops, but only takes one bad apples to spoil the barrel. However those bad apples are usually protected from any action. The results speak for themselves, just look at all the videos on Youtoob that show a huge number of US cops in very negative light, too many fatal shootings that were avoidable In many countries, this would not be tolerated, either by fellow cops, or the judiciary, or politicians, or the tax paying public. You have more chance of being killed by a US cop than a terrorist in the US. However, it appears to me that in the US, your cops are unaccountable, and actually seek armed confrontation with the public, which often results in death. There are over 10,000 dogs shot each year and 1,140 people shot and killed each year, not to mention all the corruption, non fatal beatings and shootings. Over half of those killed were not armed and some are non US nationals, such as Justine Damond, from Australia. She was gunned down in Minneapolis in her pyjamas, in July 2017 in her drive way, I'd call it murder. The cop that shot her, Mohamed Noor, will likely never be prosecuted. Too may cases like that. Many of the dogs shot were not a threat, a CCTV video shows again in Minneapolis of a cop entering a back garden who shoot 2 Staffi terriers, that were friendly and wagging their tails. The cop lied in his report that they attacked him, the video proved otherwise. He should be prosecuted for perjury, but he won't. The vet bills came to over $10k, who pays for that? It seems that when a member of the public (or pet) is shot, the cops concerned are never prosecuted, and at most, the police departments settle for a maximum $3million payout, which is the limit on their insurance policies. Big deal, the worst that happens is an insurance claim? With so many incidents, that alone says to me that bad cops are common in the US, there must be at least 11,040 bad cops in the US (people and dog killers), that appear to be unconvicted criminals. I do blame your amateurish police training that encourage trigger happy cops, that wouldn't meet military standards, yet encourages US police to conduct themselves in a way that would be in breach of the Geneva Convention in a war zone. How crap is that? William Blake, said 'the only thing that is necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing' . The problem is, that the US police unions, the police chiefs, the culture, even the jurors at the rare court case where a cop is prosecuted, treat the police as above the law. The system is evil, but so are too many people. When good cops do stand up, the system works against them it seems, just by doing a quick google search. Remember Frank Serpico in NY? That was over 45 years ago, yet the NYPD still features heavily in corruption and violence on Youtoob. I saw one news item on Youtoob of a woman cop with 20 years service was sacked for trying to highlight excessive force. Another ex cop who was sacked for not shooting a suspect. What the fuck is wrong with the police system in the US? It must be the worst in the developed World by far. One incident in NY of police brutality in 2012 was against a Supreme Court judge! Not surprisingly the NYPD cops involved who assaulted the judge on the street, were cleared of wrongdoing, despite the video evidence so after 5 years, the judge is going through a civil suit. So the police now fuck over judges, what the fuck is going on with US police? So in answer to the author of this video, police brutality is very common in the US, the highest in the developed World (see the stats), and if good cops don't stand up, the tyranny will continue. It is only time before US cops kill a foreign tourist for something petty, like reaching for his ID in his pocket, and as I do not want to be that statistic, I will not visit the US and encourage others to look at your police brutality record and also boycott visiting the US. The US is a pariah state when it comes to police brutality, the stats speak for themselves.
