- Traveling from tea parties in Texas to "Oath Keeper" rallies in Massachusetts, VICE investigates whether the country is actually on the verge of the 2nd Revolutionary War.

The Department of Homeland Security classifies them as potential "domestic terrorists"; they prefer to be called patriots. As the economic crisis deepens, a growing movement of Americans is rejecting the two-party system and the mainstream media. They believe a violent revolution is imminent, and they're getting ready for it now. VICE correspondent Ryan Duffy crosses the country to meet the people on the front lines of the struggle. They include Alex Jones, a radio talk show host in Austin, Texas who is waking people up to the dangers of the corporate globalists - and has seen traffic on his websites increase dramatically in recent months. We also meet Sgt. Charles Dyer, a U.S. Marine stationed at Camp Pendleton who has taken an oath to disobey unconstitutional orders and take up arms against the government if it becomes tyrannical - and is training a citizen militia to do the same.

I was in Katrina in New Orleans and I know what martial law and curfew is. In martial law, citizens are not allowed to take their weapons outside their homes. There was a shoot on sight order in New Orleans for anyone carrying a firearm other than the national guard. I saw a man shot who took a pistol outside to see what a noise was...it was a national guardsman. The guardsman shot and killed him. How can you have a civil war? Where is the military that will fight the United States. Why would anyone want to fight the United States. Isn't that treason?

I respect Sgt. Dyer's statement about the US creating terrorists. When I watched Baghdad bombed live, I realized how massive the civilian casualties to military would be in comparison. That's when I realized the true meaning behind, "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter."

The thing we must all be aware of is that revolutions are very rarely two sided conflicts. More often there are multiple factions who are fighting the dominant force. The problem there is that individual factions will most likely turn on each other as well if the common goal isn't clearly agreed upon. The main dividing factors are Religion/Political Ideoligy/Race/Class.
That's possible. I think we will see something more like what happened in Egypt. We will see the military leaders remove the president and his radical fanatical organization from power, then arrange for new elections.
Recent racial polarization is created mostly by politicians, race merchants and the media. Politics are local, meaning that politics is more of a polarizing factor in states where there's crisis over local governmental issues, such as in California. I think the real dividing factor is REGIONAL. For example, people on the East coast have become increasingly different from and intolerant of people in the heartland. If you travel and observe people you'll see that the rich and poor in Oklahoma coexist without recent polarization, the Roman Catholics and non-Roman Catholics in Massachusetts are OK with each other, the Mormons and non-Mormons in Utah continue to share the same local interests. What you see is that, ideologically and culturally, people in one region of the country have less and less in common with people of other regions.

Food for thought, companies are trying to control what we do on the internet. Why, do you think they want to control this? Money of course, but what else. If the internet is controlled by companies then the next step beside money income is media, information, and what we take for granted with the internet will be under there call on what should be seen, used, and read.
It almost makes you think that a resource as valuable as RUclips should be controlled by some other entity than a private corporation. I know that Google is a public company, but that doesn't really mean that it is controlled by the people. And you couldn't trust the government with something so politically influential. I'm a retired firefighter that when I joined the fire service I raised my right hand and swore to my oath to uphold the constitution of the United states if America and I meant every bit of it and still to this day I'm an oath keeper if I see cops pull some one over I immediately stop and start filming and reminding the people that are pulled over they have a 5th and 4th amendment right use it

I was an MP in the Army Guard (nearly 20 years ago) and later was a volunteer & part time paid firefighter (about 12 years ago) here in Kentucky. What you said sounds reasonable until you realize that every system with staying power has built in ways to escape said system. Going and being 'self-sufficient' doesn't hurt the government or society, it shuts you up and takes you out of the conversation. Whatever parts of the government you oppose only benefit from your withdrawal.
Be 'self sufficient' all you want, but know that no successful or happy human has ever achieved anything alone. Just whatever you do stay engaged too.
Compassionate Curmudgeon definitely agree. I think what he is encouraging is be selfsufficient and ENCOURAGE others to do so as well. But i do know that self sufficiency isnt as comfortable and is not a lifestyle that will satisfy all which is how government has been able to grow so large. What I'm gathering from what you're saying is that you don't like the idea of government interference and want to live off the grid and just not participate. A piss poor educational system is as much to blame as any corrupt politicians. Parents that allow a socialist education system to raise their children unchecked has lead to what we now have in this country. A political system that encourages anyone over the age of 18 to vote regardless of their ability to do so in a responsible informed manner. Most voting today is based on name recognition more than that candidates record or qualifications. The poor vote for the candidate that promises them the most, the rich vote for the candidate that promises them the most tax breaks etc. There should be mandatory term limits, like the President on all Senators and Representatives at every level of government and anyone chosen to represent any state in DC should be appointed by the State legislature and subject to recall at anytime for not voting as that state legislature deems fit for the betterment of that state. The average citizen is no longer smart enough to vote on any national election except a Presidental election. Who ever is elected President, the person he ran against should automatically become the VP.
