I think it's a neat touch on how there's sounds for flip tricks and the board's wheels spinning while in the air. Not sure why that wasn't in the versions for the more capable consoles or in future installments.
I had to watch this. I was playing here and some of these are like riddles. Like the one with Elissa, I hate guessing what the request mean. I just finished this game on 100% thanks to you again Benedict, so awesome having a channel dedicated to a game franchise
I remember my step bro being a boss at this game waaay back. Shit seemed totally difficult when I saw it as a kid, still looks like it a little to this day.
Nice old days when I enjoy playing THPS 4 on my PS1. After complete all goals, I need to think hard how to finish Tony Hawk's Spesific Goals, the 900's in the roof. Same way when I decide to transfer from roof to the enterance arch.
Wow they really got lazy on Reynold and Rowleys goals huh.Like really some of the greatest street legends of all time and let’s just make u do some ridiculous 900 stuff on vert for the street skaters instead of something creative with gaps or stairs or something.I know this was ps1 and the main focus was on the ps2 version but come on though
you guys are serious? ??????those have been the hardest goals in the entire game for me. I haven´t been able to pull it off yet. it never goes beyond the 720 for me. and i dont know what you guys are doing diferently
Apparently you cant get the Muska goal grinding the other direction? I completed the goal and still failed multiple times before looking up this video.
i might be stupid, but i can't even find tonys icon :( btw on ps1 tony hawk games you can get special by doing a boneless, 360flip, airwalk. You can do it standing if you set 360flip to up and airwalk to up like me :b
so if i want to just have perfect balance on i need to complete all the pro goals to unlock the cheat menu in the options menu but i cant unlock the pro challenges till i complete 110 amateur goals?!
@@GustavoKennedySk8 Cara, não precisa do passo lunar, vou humildemente deixar as dicas que deixei pra um gringo em outro comentário: First air, perform boneless (up up X), then nosegrab (PS: no spinning)... Second air, boneless, then nosegrab again... Third air, boneless and then the special trick, just to gain speed (REMEMBER, NO SPINNING, because when you land you end up losing speed if you turn (even if just a little)... and finally, now that you have speed go straight foward and when stop holding X as soon as you jump you need to start spinning while performing the special trick, USING BOTH RIGHT SIDE BUTTON AND L1 (or L2, I forgot because I'm playing on keyboard - no bullshit). This way the skater spins faster, I think the key here is to spin with L1, because it's a faster turning than right or left buttons... to ensure everything goes ok, spin with both at the same time. Extra tip: Try landing on the rollin thing in the middle of the halfpipe, because the skater lands a little lower, and you gain more time to perform an extra spin. Extra tip2: You can substitute nosegrab for cannonball, the secret here is to perform a simple trick that you can control Reynold's rotation easier. Extra tip3: I don't know your level of skills, but you can nail it with just first air and then go straight for the special trick + spinning. Do as many airs as you like, but don't spin on them Extra tip4: Everytime you want to gain speed, enter the air combo with boneless. Extra tip5: If you can't do that on joystick and you have the balls (and patience) to master the controls, playing on keyboard allows you to play with 10 fingers, instead of 6, so you can do things pretty faster. Extra tip6: If you start the last air with boneless the trick won't count, because it will be a 900 boneless + hardflip late flip, and it has to be 900 hardflip late flip.
If sf says you shouldn't have a skateboard yet this game says otherwise even though in thug 1 as well and thug 2 clearly shows how useful it is. Than I'm going to keep my skateboard away from them incase tony hawks or worse bam needs to bust out

holy smokes that 900 gap with Tony at the beginning, mint

900 casper and hardflip tricks can be done by enabling all cheats
Thank you
it can aslo be done with bonelesses
you dont need cheat, the trick is to mash r1/l1 rather than holding it.

mashing l1/r1 instead of holding it gave you just enough 900 right at the end
As good as, if not better than the PS2 version IMO
I had both ps1 version and the actual version and the ps1 version was impressive for what it was
how do you change your clothes in THPS2?

Seems shitty compared to the GameCube version.
Svogflam they dont even have the same engine. The ps1 could not handle the nee THPS4
I know. I have the same situation with my n64 version of thps3

Too easy
