Sure, whether or not a character is hot or not is certainly subjective, but I still think it's quite reductive to think whether or not a character is considered as such solely being dependent on how much clothing they are wearing. We can see ken had a counter hit on his crouch light punch to go into medium punch, which is a much needed nerf. Might not be a thing and they just used counter hit for fun but i think they did it on purpose. And thats one of many nerfs for sure

Hi, Sim main here. It looks like the standing medium kick into medium flame into lvl 3 is a buff, because at that range, I'd be hesitant to spend my lvl 3. It has a tendency to whiff if you cancel it and the opponent is not like right next to you. At the tip of the medium kick, i feel like that's normally too far to connect
Im late to the video: Zangiefs cr fierce pre-patch, best damage/combo you could originally get off of it was an extremely early hit in their jump hitting PC on anti-air with the late active frames. It would pop the opponent up high enough for Gief to come into OD borsche dynamite. Otherwise, it would only create a hard knockdown setup. But with its 12 frame startup and awkward hitbox and mental stack of looking out for neutral drive rush, it was hard to land consistently or at all. I hope they extended the hitbox backwards to better fend off crossups. Note, Zangiefs lariat also on PC in neutral is only combo-able similarly when it lands extremely early in their jump but late on your active frames. Tldr; both cr fierce and lariat kinda really ass. I hope they fixed the moves issues opposed to only adding properties to an already slow and risky and very baitable move.
I feel like this season may be a breaking point for a lot of people who wanted drive rush toned down/gone - it seems like there are reductions in drive gauge loss, allowing people to use drive rush more

I wonder. Does anyone think its wise to have dynamic stock gain mechanics built in. That is do what they're doing with Ryu which should have always been there. Any character that obtains an install stock should be able to do unleash it when they want. I KNOW they didn't give it to Lilly or Juri. Which bugs me. I think if you give up time in a match to get the buff you should be able to do it whenever you want. I also like the idea that when the buff is active the threat isn't ALWAYS there and it's there when you need it not because you got the hit and used the move so now its gone and that's if you even get the hit to begin with
I'm glad that Akuma's legs aren't weirdly normally muscular (like Ken's legs looking small compared to his upper body) and made it ultra beefy like his arms so it doesn't look disproportionate.
Kimberly can combo into OD air grab at mid screen off mp,hp target combo>dr cr.hp. It just costs 5 bars of meter and heavily scales and is basically only good for styling or ending a round by going into lv3. Letting her do that cheaper and with more combo routes is a good buff that hopefully ups her damage.
I honestly think that denjin change is going to make Ryu top 10. Hes going to 2 touch akuma.... so i don't think all us Ryu players will drop him for Akuma.

the only reason kim players would use her super bar other then for her lvl3 is if they're getting the killing with it, otherwise using the super bar other then for her lvl3 first is never a good idea, that being said rushing to get her lvl3 passive buff and then having her super 2 more easily accessible will make a difference for sure. It is nice wont have to TK her ex tatsu to get super 2 now

Honestly these “changes” don’t address or change the problems with this game. Ya some characters need nerfs but the mechanics are what make dumb characters dumb. There need to be adjustments with drive gauge, drive impact knock back, burnout, drive rush. The drive reversal on wake up is barely helpful when it’s slow to come out and still unsafe and easy to punish. These aren’t a true season 2 changes
Most meter build from SA2s that allow follow ups like Chuns SA2 are nerfed. Wake up reversal is faster and safer. Also, some of these changes are going to let the lower tier characters build up resources quicker which is a problem for them.
@@MrMooMoo088 suspected faster, but going from 20 to 18 frames doesn’t make them not slow. And -6 is still an easy punish. It they were -4 at the very least, I wouldn’t complain. Even losing your turn, you should be returned to a more neutral point even if they block. It’s not like throwing out an ex dp. For some characters, drive reversal is their only way to escape pressure without blowing meter on supers. Doesn’t seem fair to still be punishable for wanting to break out of the situation

No totally true. I use it to get rid of bar/burn out. If they are dumb with their bars and I see only a bar or less, ill use lvl 2
