Legendary detective Ellery Queen sets out to solve a mystery involving an extremely valuable stamp. Кино
I suppose a little on the silly side but I'll watch it any day over the hideous stuff spewing forth from Hollywood these years. Thank you for posting.
I agree.
I agree wholeheartedly. 😊
Why are you all such assholes? why the need for an insult to cover a compliment?? What miserable small lives you must have
Gosh I haven't seen Ellery Queen since I was a little kid . This Feature is great . I really enjoyed it !Thank you so much for posting the film . 😊
Thanks for watching PizzaFLIX
In this world now these are the best movies ever to watch better than what's on TV or in the movie today 👍👍👍👍
Well said Dennis. There is no point in going to the cinema anymore,no stars, blood, explosions wtc
Old is Gold and it has the Purity of all things and Black and White has no other Substitute that I think so.
Eddie Quillan was quite a character. In later years he was in three Perry Mason episodes. Raymond Burr took care of his "family".
The world's most valuable stamp. Worth $50,000 . And yet she just keeps it in a small paper envelope in her purse. Then she takes it out so casually to show it to a ship's officer! She should've taken more precautions to protect such a fragile, valuable piece of paper!
Crazy setup! Just asking for trouble!
It’s even more outrageous because $50,000 in today’s value is $1,070,902.88. She not only showed it to him, she handed it to him! Just like waving a million dollars around. And she calls it a stupid stamp.
Yes, but then we have a movie to watch.
In my film class we used to call things like this the idiot plot

Very good EQ movie, Eddie Quillan is great as EQ, Good Quality.
Entertaining movie w a different set of actors in role EQ& his dad! Thanks,PizzaFlix!
Thank you for sharing this old movie with us. So great to enjoy movies w/o sex and violence. Just entertainment!

I'm with you ...
ALL THIS is new uto me. RUclips. Old movies. Wow❗
Because just entertainment is what sold and was in demand in those days, not like today when there is a lot of gore and everyone is walking around with their tits and pipis hanging out. According to today's fucked up society, that's what brings in the money along with computer shit and drugs!
it is a shame they dont try to make a detective movie these days without gore, sex and violence...i think they could be in for a pleasant surprise
Pizza Flix thanks for another fun movie. I enjoyed this murder mystery and I couldn't figure out 'who done it' !
Thank you
Another great old film made even better by resenting an Ellery Queen tale based on the writings of Dannay & Lee.
Thanx for sharing 🙏
Clever little murder mystery! Just what I'd expect from EQ.
Pretty good movie. I liked it.
At 11:23. Upon being informed of a possible theft in his hotel, the manager's FIRST reaction is to say " Get the Police!"
But in reality, calling in the police would be a manager's nightmare and so is really the LAST thing he would do.
I've worked in a motel and had to call the police because a naked man was at the front desk asking for help. I thought he was having a heart attack he had such a spacy look about him. He wouldn't respond to questions, so I called the local police, told them of the situation. Local police, state police, and sheriff all showed up. He was high on meth, apparently.
I'm a fan of your Channel thank you for the enjoyment I've got out of your preservation and restoration of these films
Loved it. Thank you
LOVE THESE BLACK & WHITE MOVIES!!! So original and fresh nothing like the trash being made nowadays. Everything is recycled or blood & gore or sex over the top. These are family viewing movies.
Thanks for the upload
Thank you!
Wonderful movie..
Of course, this stamp is bogus. Of those Chinese stamps considered rare & valuable, the "Red Stamp of 1969" was tops, a plate block of four selling for 1,086,000 after it's issue in 1969. It depicted Mao Tse-tung (Wade Giles) and his henchman, Lin Biao, who fell from favor and "mysteriously died" in a plane crash.
Dizzy dame leaves priceless item right out where a toddler could find it. I love mysteries, murder stories & noir. But, the premise of naivete necessary to get some of them started feels like I’ve had a flat and have to stop and change a tire before I can enjoy the rest of the journey. 😖
Got to luv EQ!!!
A light-hearted murder mystery - but no more. It gets a 5/10 from me. 17 Apr 2024
No way in hell that door was sound proof. 😆
SO cute, LOVE this little chap Ellery Queen :-)
Thanks for the upload! 50 years after this was made, I avoided another Mandarin Mystery when I was a sailor in Hong Kong in a hotel overnight with a hooker!
Too funny!
I ❤ pizza flix
yea who done it then love the end.
I don't watch new movies. With porno and blood.
GRATIDÃO PELA POSTAGEM. NOS FAZ SAIR UM POUCO DESSES ENLATADOS QUE SÓ EXPLORAM A SEXUALIDADE E A DESONESTIDADE
News Note:
In this Film Ellery Queen is much smaller than His Father ,
However in the 1970s TV Series The Son played by Jim Hutton was MUCH Taller than the Father played by David Wayne, NOW GO FIGURE THAT !!
very entertaining like ellory queen
...fun and clever...
A fancy Yellow Cab! Hard to even find one in Chicago anymore?

First EQ ever? Cute 💚
Love eq x
Eddie Quillan was the bad guy in the Gene Kelly musical Brigadoon.
I’m not used to ellery being such I wisecracker
❤️❤️❤️
...was this the original "Ellery Queen" movie?
Might have been.
🙏 🌹
What's all that business with the things down the trousers?
Good b&w movie, not complicated. Good character actors. Eddie Quillan, while a good actor, was not good as Ellery Queen. He wasn't awful but just not a good fit for the part. Still worth watching though.
😊😊
Hey
EQ I'm just like him !!! LOL
This guy is a bit of a dandy. I like the Ralph Bellamy ones better.
..
Esiste in italiano?
I liked this movie but his son made me sick stoped watching
