This is my favorite Vibe boat, ever made. Roomy, stable, love the platform perch. Nice Storage, Bixpy Ready, perfect length, and an amazing bass tournament setup. Plus i love my fin drive. Plug the deck, run your motor, and tether your fin drive every trip out! Instead of heavy, bulky pedal drive.. 💯 🛶 🌊 🎣
I really want rod holders like that for the surf. I haven't flipped compass yet ::knock on wood:: but the day will come and I don't want to break my poles. What was the weight on this thing?
crazy cool looking yak, I am wishing theyd push that timeframe up! looking at a 13 hobie revo right now but only put off is lack of tracks, this seems to be combined best of all worlds. and 1k less than the revo too?????
Man I have a 2016 outback and I love it. Bought it brand new. But I have to say I wouldn't buy another hobie ever again. After what they said about them going up on their prices on kayaks that's already been made and out. And blaming it on the new tariffs is just bullshit. They are a price gouging greedy corporation I believe. And There's to many great kayak companies with alot of great kayaks. And their not trying to screw people like hobie. you can save alot of money and have pride in not supporting a greedy company like them. Do your research first. Old town predator old town topwaters kayaks are great. Bonafide are made in the USA. This vibe here is awesome! Just saying man🙂
I hope it comes at or around the Feb 2020 date, I might end up going with the Hobie pro angler 14 with the 360 drive, it’s pricey but this is a decent affordable one.
they made one for vibe boats that's based on the first hobie mirage drive... it only fits the vibe version as far as i know. kinda like what pelican did.
@@30mofishing Correct! I'm on their facebook group and the general consensus is that that the x-drive is similar to the mirage drive in design but the execution is slightly different. This is going based off pictures because Josh hasn't shown us any official videos or pictures of the x-drive yet, only concept pictures. we'll know more in the next upcoming months. expect the shearwater 125 to be 1299 without the drive and 1799 with the x-drive.
First off I like to say I love my Vibe Sea Ghost Bixpy jet combo. And Since this Kayak is defiantly designed with the Bixpy jet in mind, one simple mode would make the Shearwater more Bixpy jet friendly: add a hole/port designed to fit the blue power cable for the Bixpy Jet, so you can run the power cable in side the kayak from the back to the front. That way you can have your battery up front moving your weight forward for more even distribution of weight. The screw in connector on the Bixby is so large its hard to drill a hole and run your cable, then make it water tight around the cable since the cable is so much smaller then the connector. Also it lets you get your battery off the top of the Kayak and inside were its out of the way. Also the front access has to be big enough to receive the battery.
@@30mofishing that's a bummer, I was definitely going to get this yak if it did but now I'm thinking twice. but it's still awesome from I've seen and still a front runner for my new yak. do you have any suggestions other than hobie?
I'm sixty-eight years old. That elevated seat is very important to me. I can stand and fish/row for about four hours and that's it. Nice to sit and still be elevated for fishing.
Wow! Now that is an awesome kayak there. It has all you could want in a fishing kayak. Shallow water offshore fishing. Out of all the newer kayaks that's coming out. this one here. And that kaku hybrid one that's a little better then their voodoo model. But I forgot the name of it? I believe are my personal favorite fishing kayaks that's gonna be coming out. Great video my cajun brother Ty 😂🙂
Every company keeps stepping up the game I love to see the industry that we all love going in the right direction but its making the choices harder to make lol
This was one of my favorite new models from icast this year. Wish Vibe had a good dealer that does demos in Houston....the dealer here doesn’t believe in answering his phone or returning calls.
I was totally sold on this yak, the seat would be an awesome platform. Then I read they made the drive proprietary, so my existing mirage drive I have wont fit. Have to think about now.
I love this kayak, but it seems to come with nothing! All of the cool features, are all at an extra expense! Am I reading this right! I want this kayak!

How much for the , shearwater 125
Hi what is the price
How can’t I get it
Does the Hobie 180 fit in this
Not sure
I wish this cooler was still available
Got it brother just need my xdrive
Edub just ordered his red and black, thanks for the video I'm going to see how it compares to the Hobie Outback

not sure but it was up there. id say 70lbs plus
72 lbs hull. That is light for a pedal kayak
Will the native drives work on this yak?
Not sure
What type of reinforcement will be under the decking of the seat to keep from having stress cracks from standing on the platform on the seat
most companies use foam blocks but we'll have to wait and see

I like what vibe is doing and the versatility of that seat is brilliant!
Will the hobie marage drive fit this kayak?

Thanks for the replys
How skinny will this boat get?

I heard about this yak and it looks pretty sick. I was going you were going to shop the drive in it. Thanks for sharing Ty.
The only thing it doesn't have is a auto where's my fish grips for you lol love ya brother .
How the heck can they make a boat with all these features and a pedal drive, for that price?
What’s the quality like?
i think the pedal drive is separate
30milesOut yeah it’s another $500 which is pretty cheap compared to every other manufacturer
does the x drive have reverse?
That’s a negative sir

maybe someone already put the md180 and that he can confirm that it is possible and how it works

Awesome!

It look like the pedal drive will get in the way of the fish finder.
More ways to fish let's go ,thanks

That’s the opposite of what I heard from this same guy in the video

Been waiting to see a more in depth video on this Kayak. Thanks Ty!! Did they talk about the price?
1299 without x-drive, 1799 with x-drive. if you buy the x-drive separately later, the drive is 600 by itself

1800 for kayak and pedal drive on the pre-order.
Damn it, they are sold out!
Josh come down to Texas and go offshore
