The engine is under the van between the front seats. There is a crank driven shaft that runs the front accessories. That is also why it was so quiet.

I have question,,trying to buy a previa I tried all trac and reg rear wheel drive,,neither had sc eng..the all trac was way faster --is this normal?
Yes but mostly becase all 4 wheels in the alltrac have power to them meaning it can put 100% of its engine power down, more often than the regular rwd
