The saxophone guy, Henry Solomon, absolutely slayed his part in this MV. That last 20 seconds of intersecting between Solomon and HAIM was pure magical.

This song is so beautiful that it makes me tear up. As a guy that used to play bari sax back in the day and loves the Lou Reed/Jazz feel, I heard it on the radio and got hooked. After I found out what the inspiration for the song was, I get wrenched so hard by it as a cancer survivor. Such a beautiful song and such wonderful people writing it and singing it. They may continue to do more amazing things (and already have) but this is a song that's going to stick with me for as long as I'm still around. Thank you HAIM, thank you so very much.

@@NathanEntertainmentSystem2012 I can almost finger along with it but I haven't had my hands on a bari in literally 30 years, so I'm not going to be much help. It's a song mostly in the upper middle register, largely left hand. If he wants to figure it out, play it back at half time and try to pick the individual notes out. It's good practice for him getting to know his range and the feel for the notes and the distance between them. If he ever wants to play anything with improvisation, working something like this out is a great start on the tools needed.

This is so awesome. Nobody in my family can sing, play instruments, or get along.
I appreciate how this was directed, with increasing warmer color tones, in the opening moments as Danielle discards her parka. Once outside, the tones are mostly on the cooler side, with pale blues and greens. The cooler tone gives way to a warmer light, and by 1:15 we're awash in reds and golds. Nice work!

@CazMatazz It is gentle but the instrumentals are absolutely beautiful and it highlights how creative they are without them having to use all of their emotion to evoke a feeling. It's just a classic song with a nice vibe but the instrumentals and their tonality makes it really beautiful and perfect for them in my opinion. Obviously ppl agree.

I didn’t see Haim, but I did see a woman in underwear with a gimp mask on walking down the steet on our way to Sunset Boulevard. So not entirely disappointing. 😂 LA is wild even at 6 am on a Saturday.

My favourite band, directed by one of my all time favourite film directors; shot on film, on location, one of the locations being a movie theatre owned by one of my other all time favourite film directors, and (I just saw in the description how this was) shot on my 18th birthday!? The meaning behind this song and video is such a beautiful message, you could be a sunshine when the other person is in a dark winter phase, like in this case, is “the cancer”. HAIM is such a underrated band, I love this girls so much❤️
Or, it could mean she's just here for a brief season, the sun and blue skies of youth, whether one summer or 30 (if you're lucky), and then poof, she's just an old memory or lesson of what could have been or was....

The World and real life it's already really fucked up outside there, so why not to take a seat for a while, chilling on a nice theatre and enjoy a joyfully dynamic narrative, where love can be still stronger than bombs and hate speech.

Not really relevant to the song / video, but right before the pandemic, I was flying into Beijing to be with my SO for Christmas. It had been a long flight, and I had my Spotify on shuffle. This song came on while we were on final approach, and it gave me great vibes. Whenever I hear it I think of that crisp, sunny winter morning and the amazing time I had with my SO in Beijing. It's quite bittersweet for me, as it's almost been a year since we've last seen each other because of the virus. I really miss you, Z.

Streets of any given part of L.A. Rode through here on countless Midnight Ridazz rides between 2007 and 2013. Despite how much the city has changed, the visuals of this video take me back to riding bicycles with hundreds through the streets. Then eventually those rides became a shadow of their former selves.
Grew up and lived in the Victorville area, but traveled down to L.A. quite frequently to escape the rural, then bedroom community humdrumness. Now I jam out to this out here in eastern NM!!

I had a serendipitous meeting with all three sisters at a coffee shop about half a year ago. They were beyond kind and talked with me as we were waiting in line. Love their music and their style. It was a bonus that they were so wonderful in person as well!
