  • Quick little video I made to show curious friends/people what exactly I do at work. Found some of my older GoPro footage and decided to make something.
All this footage is from the same fire, tried to edit a lot of stuff out to cut it down (there was like 2 hours of footage from this fire).
Also, I know there's a couple times when the video isn't synced perfectly with the song, I literally made the video in 45 minutes. So please don't hate, just enjoy!
Feel free to like, comment or share this video! If people start showing an interest in these, I would be happy to make more! Also, any videos from 2016 will be in 4k HD and I'll start spending more than 45 mins making the video.

Glad you liked it! I've had many BC deployments over the years, merritt a couple times, kamloops, cranbrook, castlegar, and prince george to name a few! Great province to fight fire in! Wishing you a safe and great season!

that's crazy. difference is night and day from us wildland guys in the US and you guys up in Canada. kinda cool to see you guy's kick ass your way. I didn't we you guys carrying fire shelters? is it not required up there ?

Yeah we don't carry fire shelters in Canada. If there's any sort of risk of crews getting burnt over, they're not put in the area. We tend to play our cards out very carefully and safely up here!

@@americanguy2024 sure did. Since then put in 4 summer and 4 winter seasons for the Forest Service. Rolling into this summer with a permanent gig on a WFM and some good fires. Dang, this is some nostalgia haha.

What’s required to become a fire ranger? I just moved to Canada from the US, where I was a police officer.
