It really depends. I live in South Korea at the moment. My school was verrrry strict, just like the video. We also can't have styled curly(?) hair, and we had to tie up our hair if we did. We had a teacher who would come in and out of classrooms just to catch students who weren't following the dress code. I still hate that teacher. Reminded me of Umbridge from Harry Potter. But as we get close to graduating, teachers tend to not care since their busy with classes and etc. Also some students bring their makeup bag and do makeup during breaks because this was the only 'freedom' we had haha... I also found out some schools in Seoul are much more carefree than other schools out of the city. So the students that you saw in vlogs were probably from big cities or they just don't care if they get caught. My school was fucking horrible. I still hate it.
In india you have to make two braids ,no makeup,no nail paint and all, no phones , have to wear school uniform only (in my school we cant wear civil dress even on birthdays) ....and!!!!! I cant even stare at boys coz mine is whole girls school🙃. We are not allowed to get bangs, skirts should be below the knees, have to make two simple braids, bow at every staff member ( teachers and school care takers) . You cant go out of the class without class pass ( two students at a time can only go out as we have only two class passes). I study in Canossa Convent
yeah our maths teacher, if any kid in our class will came like that she will start her whole fvkin advice class for the whole period and will put special class at satudays take music and P. T period for extra again nd she'll say "PorRtIonS ARenT ComPltEdd". she's so annoying. when i cut bangs the other teachers didn't even care but she reported to my mom.
It kind of make sense to me tho. Most of the student in my high school are smart and our school didn't really enforced the dress code. But bcs of that there is some cases of student whose bag is full of things like make up, hair straightener etc. Some didn't even bother to bring their own pen, pencil etc and only have one book in their bag.
Indian schools are worst . I hate some of these rules like only black rubber bands and if your hair is coming on face then use hairband and that's also black . No long earrings only tops unless it's some gold or gold plated earrings that mostly Indian girls wear.
Depends on certain schools I think., some schools are more lenient. Tbh that’s probably why the vloggers originate from those more lenient schools in the first place., there’s no way the stricter schools would let the kids have out their phones or cameras and be filming during the school day

Ah I think I’d be okay with Korean schools. I don’t really take good care of myself anyways and having a uniform would be better than needing to rummage through my closet to find something to wear to school. I hear they also have after school study hours and that the metro stays open pretty late so I could stay late to study or avoid people and wouldn’t be bothering anyone too late into the night.
The subway is normally open till like 5 am1then closes for an hour but it stays busy almost all the time so you wouldn't really be able to avoid people. Also in Korea a lot of kids don't have any free time cuz they have school thay sometimes goes till Ike 4 pm and then they have to go to academys and get home at like 11 pm every day. It is quite hard and very tiring. But school policies like uniform and stuff aren't that bad. (Btw I'm Korean)

No nailpolish

Not allowed to use washroom within the first 3 periods however 4th and 5th period teachers tell you to wait till recess
No accessories except small stud earrings are allowed and in some cases religious accessories
Bag must not be "too heavy" but we have to bring all books for the day even if they aren't required
Socks must be right below the knee
Ribbons are required for plaits and ponytail hairstyle
Ponytails apparently can be too low or too high (this isn't like Ariana Grande type high)
Contact lenses aren't allowed (how would they even know they don't know every single kid that wears glasses-)
No electronics allowed. In certain cases smart watches are allowed (some ppl still sneak it in thankfully the teachers won't care about smartwatches unless there is an inspection)
No perfumes or any scent (it is reasonable cuz some ppl put too much)
15 min recess for 6 hours of school and teachers stay after recess and keep teaching at times or arrive early so if we include time of washing your hands we get 5 minutes (we got lucky to only have 6 hours some of my friends have 7-8 hours)

In India if you have short hair you can just put up a hairband but no makeup no nail paint, uniform skirts are actually below knees for girls , (since we are in 10th we break many rules and they say nothing😂 like girls wear lipstick etc ) only short earrings are allowed (if we want we can wear necklace cause the uniforms are half like turtle neck you can't see what they're wearing inside so we can wear ) talking to boys isn't a crime but discipline is most important (no loose socks are allowed otherwise we get remarks)

In Malaysia's schools:
1. Tie your hair as long as it's on or over your shoulder.
2. Skirts below knees
3. Makeup not allowed, so is sunscreen even though we're experiencing heat wave rn
4. No nails over the tip of your fingers and no nail polish
5. No perfume
6. Earrings aren't allowed. Wear some sort of stick through your ear piercings if you have to wear anything at all.
7. No medicine, even if you had pain all of a sudden. You need permission.
8. No cards, even keycards need permission.
9. Oil paper is considered makeup even though it's more like more effective tissue for people with oily skin.
10. Hair ties must be black or brown, only basic ones. No headbands.
11. School uniform only (it's hideous)
so, so, so many more
Woah, all of these apply to my school too except the 7th one
Basically like indian schools and don't get me started on hideous uniforms. The struggle is real. Only some schools for rich kids aka private schools here allow pony tails and have a better looking uniform
@@SeemaSaini-to8qw i bet our uniform is worse. neon blue overall skirt below your knees that kinda sticks to your legs in a way over a white (sometimes grey-ish silver) short sleeved shirt for girls, same shirt, shit green pants for boys. (public schools)

In Indian schools, rules are pretty strict but kinda like opposite
1) We can't go with open hair if the rubber band has capabilities to hold it, teachers consider it shabby and stylish.
Infact if boy's hair is shabby and a little overgrown, teachers carry extra rubber to humiliate them in class 😂
2) We r allowed to wear gold jewellery as its a part of indian culture where girls start wearing gold earings since toddler's age.
3) Makeup, nah, nobody does it here at all as the heat will melt u n ur makeup down .
4) Short skirt- every teacher and mom hates it, should be below ur knee.

We have one thing in common, our names

I remember back then my school policy included no makeup, no accessories, tying hair is a must, no hair covering ears, a skirt under the knee, no folding socks to be shorter, no stretching socks to be longer, wearing every badge every day, always bringing school cap, no shoes with heels higher than 1 cm, no phones throughout the school, sleeves 5cm above the elbow, backpack only, no sling bag, no nail polish, no jacket at school.
Me too...
