Man, I’ve never disagreed with a gamingbolt review so hard. I felt this game was really something special. It nails the atmosphere and visuals and although the gameplay isn’t very groundbreaking it was always engaging. I do have to agree on the gnome-sounds: those things sound like Moaning Myrtle has taken up residence in your headphones.
I agree 100 with you. I feel it'll become a cult classic or a sleeper hit. The art style and music is so perfect. And the different growing mechanics as the game goes on is nice imo 👌
I don’t understand why the reviewer is so stuck on lack of complexity in a game not trying to be, also seems like “Gameplay” & “Gameplay Mechanics” are being used as the same concept… Little Nightmares was SUPER basic but the experience itself made it special, seems like the same case here 🤷♂️
I finished this game last year, man, it's amazing, one of the best game I played in 2023. If you like games like Limbo, Inside or Little Nithmare series, just play it. Will buy it to support the developer. The game is not that easy, some boss fights are pretty challenging, puzzle are goods without being annoying, I don't have any problems with the sound. The horror atmosphere is amazing, it can be bloody at time.
Man scored this one too low IMO. It was a very fun story and offered some good enemies along the way in different areas. No spoilers obviously, the ending was awesome IMO, shocked to see this scored low
@@Vermin82 elden ring, the most useless, annoying, pointless, boss and enemy recycling game ever cobbled together ... story? lol graphics? lol open world? lol
Waiting for the moment devs realize games need GAMEPLAY. If I want to see a 5 hour movie I will just do that. I don't want it disguised as a game. Thank god this crap gets called out more these days
@@barmakardeshiri5981 short, cinematic games like this depend on new, surprising experiences and novelty of atmosphere. Sharing details like what types of characters you interact with, characters you join with and are separated from, and explaining boss fights in detail takes away from that novelty imo. But to each their own. I'm more sensitive to spoilers than others.
I have to disagree with this review. I picked this game up just to see what it was...and I was instantly captivated and played it start to finish in 3 days. I was hooked. It was excellent. The gnomes are only part of like 1/4 of the game. So, you don`t have do deal with them much at all. There is actually quite a lot of variety in the areas that you will visit. Yeah sure the game does nothing groundbreaking in the way of combat and mobility. But what is there serves its purpose and everything felt good. And....I was really surprised by the gore touches and downright difficulty of the games at times. I am not ashamed to admit that some sections of this game took me multiple tries. Its not a breeze by any stretch. All in all, I would give this is a solid 9/10. It kept my attention, it served a great story and I feel like my time was well spend. What more can you ask? (ps. Since this is now on gamepass you really have no reason to not dive into it and give it a try)

Atmosphere and visuals are waaaaay less important than the actual gameplay lmao
@@drewkehoe1805 whats funny about that statement? For you its more important, plenty of people that play games for visuals and atmosphere.

As a norwegian it is cool to se a game inspired by norwegian/nordic fairytales and folklore
Its based on haaland
That's every game
@@tristanhogue4690 As a Dane, no it isn't, not this directly at least. This game is JUST about nordic folklore.
Just Ended the game and its amazing. One of those games to relax and enjoy the story and visuals.
Don't listen to any review on gamepass..brilliant original little title 10/10

7 seems really low imo, I absolutely loved the game
This is a hell of a game I’m enjoying it
Definetely! This is not a 7 score game! It deserves a 11/10
Feels like this will make its way to Gamepass at some point
I'm here a month later to check it out because its just announced for gamepass this month.
It's there today!
It is
a 7?🤔 this is one heck of a gamerino... it had some Inside vibes in a Grimm bros like context. Quite atmospheric yet disturbing.
I think it looks great. Everything about it screams PS2 era horror.
You clearly never played the ps2. It couldnt render half this game
At least it's not vikings
Damn gamingbolt did this game dirty
Man scored this one too low IMO. It was a very fun story and offered some good enemies along the way in different areas. No spoilers obviously, the ending was awesome IMO, shocked to see this scored low
I'm looking forward to playing it mainly for the atmosphere. It's only a cheap game :)
WTF this is 100 times better than elden ring and actually has a story
👍👏
Drop the mic
Are you okay?
You should make a doctors appointment. You are not well

great channel
I've gotta ask is Tim Russ the voice over for your channel?
Lots of story spoilers in this review.
The whole story = your sister is kidnapped , go find and save her. What do you mean by saying "story spoilers" ?

Really dont like the stiff animations on the main character
IT LEFT GAMEPASS
*throws wrench*
the game is awesome. this guy is having a bad day
it looks good but the mechanics are kinda bad
Is this game a horror game?
You'll find some pretty gruesome sceneries along the way. But not an actual horror game. Kind of like a little more gory Little Nightmares.
Dark fairytale.
Probably the worst GB review ive seen to date. This game is easily a 9/10 and i hate platformers.
BROTHERS Android 😅
by far the worst review of this game on YT
Awful review
It's not even close to a 7...its barely even a game. Its a 4/10 max.
as an American i approve the rating score 😃🇺🇸
