I'm currently watching Frasier right now, and I've just finished Cheers, and I must say that throughout the original series, I loved seeing Frasier reuniting with his buddies from Cheers, first was Lilith (who became a recurring character), then Sam, Diane, Woody and finally Cliff, Norm and Charla!
Oddly enough, John Mahoney guest starred in an episode (not as Frasier's dad obviously). And, if I remember correctly because Mahoney was so awesome, Grammer wanted him to play Marty in Frasier
